I explained this to Mark and he worked with me to quickly have the work done on our tight timeline. I manage multiple properties and have worked with many contractors over the years. When I meet someone who provides exceptional service I feel the need to share my thoughts... Mark came out to our home in Buellton to repair a roof leak and fix some broken rain gutters. He was prompt and courteous and the price was very fair. I would definitely call A to Z Roofing for any future roofing or rain gutter issues. As a side note, it is also worth mentioning he is licensed and fully insured. This is so important when hiring a contractor, especially a roofer because of the potential risk of injury. You may get a cheaper quote from an unlicensed roofer (because they are probably not paying for Workers Comp Insurance) but you will be on the hook for medical bills and lost wages if one of the workers falls off your roof. Totally not worth the risk, especially if you are a homeowner. I am very satisfied with the price and service of A to Z Roofing!

Once someone finally called me back asking more about what was needed, I then got completely ghosted and had zero response. I am pretty sure my roof is still under warranty yet no one has even attempted to schedule a quote or look at my roof. Would not recommend this company .

I received a quote and used Black Gold Roofing to put a new roof and gutters on a new project I was working on. I paid for the materials and they put down underlayment. I was then told that we needed to have someone put the facia on the chimney and seal it before they completed their work. Covid hit and unfortunately, we ran into difficulties finding a contractor that could complete and seal the chimney. After a long delay, we finally found someone to complete and seal the chimney. I contacted Black Gold Roofing to finish the roof. The owner, Darin, came out and checked out the roof and said that they would need to put a new underlayment down. I said that was fine and then gave them a check to complete the work. However, then their office provided me a revised quote that was significantly higher than the original quote, including the cost of the materials (which I had previously paid for), an increased cost to complete the roof, and an increased cost to install the gutters. We needed the work to be completed so that we could move the project along, so after some back and forth, I spoke with the owner and said that I would pay the increased prices in good faith provided that they credit us with the amounts we already paid as we wanted to build a relationship with his company for the future work we had planned. They finished the roof and partially completed the downspouts on the gutters. The owner, Darin, stated that they would come back and finish the remaining downspouts once the final portion of the construction was finished. When the construction was finished, I attempted to contact Black Gold Roofing via email and phone call. No one responded after several emails, voice mail messages, and phone calls. After a month, I finally got ahold of the owner and he acknowledged that he agreed to finish the gutters once the construction was complete, but was busy. He said he would schedule someone to come out. Once again after a long delay, I was finally contacted by another Black Gold Roofing representative. He said that he would schedule someone to come and check it out. I asked him to send me his number so that I can text him pictures of the sections that needed downspouts, etc. He never provided his information. After another 2 weeks passed, I contacted the main office again and was provided the representatives phone number. I sent photos of the sections that needed the downspouts and requested that we set something up to complete the job. After more delays, the representative called and said that they would schedule something but said that I would have to pay for the cost of materials and labor. I said that I had already paid for all the materials and the labor. He said he would check with the owner. However, I never heard back. After more emails and phone calls, I sent one final email asking someone from Black Gold Roofing to get back to me before I had to engage another contractor to finish the work, no one has ever responded to this day. I have never experienced a more unprofessional and unethical company and would definitely not recommend them. In fact, I would be cautious using them based on my experience.
