It definitely feels like something good is happening on Well street. The locals are all still there and there's a handful of very pleasant venues that have quietly cropped up over the past couple of years. Among many Well St residents, The Gun has become a celebrated social hub. You can see why as soon as you step through the door, the pub feels like it has, for lack of a better term, 'soul'.
The friendly proprietor seems to have a genuine love for high quality spirits and local beer. I'm not much of a wine drinker but Ian the bar tender was more than happy to run through those for me. Which brings me to the atmosphere of the gaff: delightful. There's a real sense of community in The Gun which keeps the same nice faces coming back and luring in new ones too. They regularly have tasteful, high-brow yet fun sets from a variety of respected, hand-picked DJs and play a careful selection of full albums in the day.
So thats music, vibe, booze oh and the food is excellent, I recommend the chicken-wings-style broccoli.
it's probably my favourite pub in London r/n
