We can't thank Kevin, Sabrina, and The Guarden enough for making our wedding so unforgettable! Right from the start, Sabrina listened to every idea, question, and dream I had for our wedding. She understood my vision, but what really set her apart was how she took it even further than I ever imagined. I trusted her instincts, and she created stunning floral centerpieces, tablescapes, and a beautiful atmosphere. Kevin put the same care, creativity, and professionalism into the menu. He blended our favorite cuisines into a meal that felt personal and unique, better than any upscale restaurant. The personal-chef service made it even more special. Every detail, from the presentation to the flavors, felt thoughtful and luxurious. Each course showed who we are, and our guests still talk about how amazing the food and experience were. The Guarden gave us more than just flowers, food, and décor. They created an atmosphere and a feeling I could never have made on my own. Kevin and Sabrina truly put their hearts into everything, and it shows in the care and professionalism they bring to their work. We'll always cherish these memories and can't recommend The Guarden enough. We're so grateful they were part of such an important moment in our lives. Thank you! read more

What can I say except the whole experience was just fantastic. From booking, crafting the menu, and then eating said menu, the whole experience was pretty stress free. My friend and I wanted to have a special birthday dinner for our hubs, so we scheduled them on a Sunday night. We provided one main dish which they then crafted a wonderful, balanced menu to complement. They are arrived on time with everything they needed and even though we didn't ask for any special decorations, the simple place settings were a lovely addition and really elevated the whole experience. Dinner started with an arancini crab cake (le amuse bouche). Buttery crab rolled into a crispy ball with a hint of yuzu to awaken the palate. Truly a unique dish the entire party enjoyed. First course was my favorite and consisted of Kona kanpachi carpaccio. Oh my sweet little tastebuds danced for joy as this was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Crispy garlic added a fun crunch, but the magical melding of the flavors in the sauce made everything just melt in your mouth. Second course was a ribeye ochazuke with a mushroom risotto that was so rich and flavorful it almost felt like it hugged your tongue and whispered sweet nothings as you chewed. We opted to upgrade the beef to wagyu so it was beautiful and as someone who doesn't eat red meat, I swapped for scallops. The ribeye was hella tender and the scallops were sheer perfection. A brief intermezzo of li hing calamansi sorbet cleansed the palate and signaled to our stomach to get ready for an onslaught of flavors. The main entree was beef Wellington (ahi Wellington for me) with a potato gratin that was a rich foundation. Everything was cooked to perfection on site, and they even provided a bit of background into their home garden which provides for the herbs and veggies used in most of the dishes. Anyone who knows me, knows I love locally sourced foods (I even buy big island beef for my dog's food), so this was a much appreciated addition. Dessert concluded the meal and while I was sad it was over, the sticky toffee pudding with toasted marshmallow ice cream sent me to cloud 9! If you want to make a special memory for any occasion, book them ASAP! You won't regret it. Chef Kevin and his fiancée are so kind and warm, it felt like family cooking for us. Even though they offer sommelier services, as a practicing oenophile, I crafted the pairings for our party and if I say so myself, I killed it. Looking at the pictures from other events, their decorations are classy and tasteful. Next time we will definitely include more courses and perhaps may splurge on a specially crafted cocktail. read more

Our first private-chef dinner and Kevin and Sabrina were fantastic. Special surprise birthday dinner for someone special and we were so pleased with everything they did. They accommodated our only available date, took care of menu recommendations, setup the table decor, furnished all plates, glasses, and silverware, did all of the food prep on premises, plated and served with Chef Kevin providing a detailed intro for each dish, and cleaned everything up afterward as well. The food was outstanding and portions were quite generous for the types of dishes that we selected. The ingredients were very high quality and they offer many options for number of appetizers, mains, and dessert, plus add-ons and luxury upgrades. This was an outstanding high end meal served at the venue of your choice. Highly recommend The Guarden! read more

If you are looking for an incredibly special evening filled with the most amazing food- call The Guarden! First class all the way. Their schedule fills up quickly, so look at your calendar for this year and plan ahead for a very unique and memorable night. Don't freak out over the prices!!! If you were to go out to a nice steakhouse and also drink your fill of drinks, your per person amount would be much higher than their prices. You choose your location and can be your own bar so you can just sit back and let them do their cooking magic! Don't think you need to find a fancy place to have this dinner. They can make ANY space feel very very special! they bring everything, including the table to make the event top notch! From the first contact, you are treated wonderfully. You help in deciding the menu theme for your dinner and they do the rest. The food is just amazing. It is food that I personally would never would have had the opportunity to try. I have enjoyed two of their dinners and both were great! Would highly recommend!! read more

I first heard of "The Guarden" during the COVID pandemic. The concept of a private chef coming to your home to prepare an exquisite dinner sounded very intriguing. My bestie had pre-booked this dinner experience for us months ahead to ensure that date was available. Kevin and Sabrina are amazing. Both very professional yet humble and easy to talk to. They have traveled to over 35 different counties to gain inspiration for their menu. We had ordered a 6 course dinner meal and added on an oyster appetizer and table set up with candles and flowers. Sabrina set up the table in about 15 mins and it turned out beautifully for the birthday girl. You have the option of choosing the linen color, table runner, and napkins to customize to the theme of the event. Although the portions were on the smaller end you could definitely taste the quality of the food. Food taste was 10/10! I really appreciated that a lot of the greens were either locally grown in their garden or brought in from local farms. I'm already thinking of the next special event to book them for! Don't wait too long because there weekends are filled for the next 2 months! read more

I just finished one of the best meals of my life at my niece's home. The occasion was the celebration of the tenth wedding anniversary of my niece and her husband. Chef Kevin and Sabrina brought everything they needed to provide our group of eight with a truly memorable dining experience that I will not soon forget. The creative dishes were incredible both in taste and presentation. They say you first taste with your eyes. Our eyes were treated to wonderful plating and presentation. It got better from there as our taste buds were dazzled by the subtle yet complex layers of flavors and textures. Attention to detail was evident as many dishes were accentuated with tiny colorful edible flowers fresh from Chef Kevin's garden. As each course was served, Chef Kevin told us what the ingredients were and sometimes how the dish was prepared. Both Chef Kevin and Sabrina were very personable, too, making the unique dining experience even more pleasant and special. Having eaten at Michelin rated restaurants, I have a basis for comparison. Chef Kevin's meal ranks right up there with the best. I have no hesitation in recommending Chef Kevin and Sabrina for personal chef services. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. read more

The Guarden could not have bloomed at such a better time! The pandemic has put a lot of celebrations and parties on hold--but The Guarden delivered such a life changing and memorable experience. Chef Kevin and his lovely and talented partner, Sabrina puts together the most epic experience!! From decor, the attention to details, and magnificent flavor combinations, all while supporting local farms to table concept; just breathtaking!! I'd reach out to The Guarden to celebrate a cousins baby shower-- it was the easiest planning ever! Communication with The Guarden was so easy, detailed, and they pretty much handled all the stress! I basically told them what color and theme we were going for, selected a 4 course menu based on a large variety of dish choices, and POOF the magic happens! We went for a pink/green theme for baby girl on the way and we were sooo impressed with the dishes, decor, glassware etc! Chef Kevin informed us that the menu was completely customizable, beginning with taste preference, cuisine preference, allergies and diet restrictions, and if you want more seafood, more veggies, or more meat options. They came so prepared and we had little to stress about. It was sooo convenient for them to come and cook at my cousins home! And it felt so intimate and safe considering it was in the comfort of our place/home. What a plus since it was hard to get a table for greater than 6 at a time. Upon reserving with them, I had mentioned it would be a full on surprise! They were sooo kind enough to accommodate by coming early to set up and cooked in a timely manner. The execution and freshness to each dish that Chef Kevin had prepared was out of this world!! Sabrina's genuine and friendly service made this experience soo welcoming and elegant! We decided to make our own little bar area but I also am interested in trying out The Guardens bar cart service at a next event! Let's talk dishes: opted for the 4 course and decided to do a mix of seafood and meat entrees. Ugh still drooling over them. Based on our preferences Chef Kevin created this menu: Amuse bouche Hawaiian breadfruit Dauphine Macadamia nut pesto, creme fraiche, Parmesan, black pepper First course Bubu crusted Scallop Risotto Mushroom dashi risotto, ao nori, Honshimeiji mushrooms, smoked trout roe and scallion beurre blanc, ume Second course Soy braised Pork belly Butternut squash purée, stir fried sweet potato greens, crispy garlic, Annato-chili oil Intermezzo Li Hing calamansi sorbet Entree Surf and turf Red wine braised short rib and butter poached lobster tail Truffled potato purée, seared king oyster mushroom, buttered corn, demi glacé, scallion beurre blanc Dessert Creme brûlée Fresh strawberry, warm kūlolo, whipped cream Less than $175/person including luxury charge of the lobster. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Our taste buds went on a total adventure! Favor profile and balance of flavors were 10/10!!! TLDR: Overall a once in a lifetime experience (or more-- def going to be booking more events with them). Such a beautiful experience!! Nothing short of amazing by the creative and delicious work of Kevin + Sabrina! The pride and love that they show in their work, details, and execution is one of a kind! Soo grateful to experience The Guarden and soo awesome to see how much this Guarden has grown! Be sure to book in advance because spots tend to fill up so quick! Thank you again The Guarden; for this blooming experience!!! read more

A MUST TRY EXPERIENCE! They come to where you'd like, and they make it an experience! The food is 100/10 in flavor and presentation! All I can say is, tell them what you want and you won't be disappointed! The fish dishes are superb - the intermezzo is something they should sell because let me tell you it is AMAZING. Custom it to what you want and like ie seafood, meat; add on extras like crab or lobster. Seriously everything is better than you can imagine. They come they set up, they clean up. They are better than going out! You can book them through Instagram but you gotta be fast because they are fast to fill up! Go try! read more

Kevin and Sabrina are amazing! We had them cater our wedding on 2/13/22, it was the best food us or our ohana had ever had! Their skill from homegrown garden fresh food from their personal garden, to the way it was prepared and served was amazing! The flavors, the pairing, the courses and how they described in detail the course after it had been offered was by far superior to any restaurant or service I have ever seen, even on television. We have been thinking of ways to get them to return and have thought of having small intimate dinners on our anniversary's to come, just to enjoy their presence and food again and remember the best day of our lives! Two words to start: Worth it! We've booked with The Guarden twice in the past year and after each experience we look at our calendar to when we should book next! I'm a pretty laid back individual so going out to eat isn't of the highest priority, but if you said you could bring the fine dining to my home, I'd give it a shot. Let me just tell you, it was definitely a shot worth taking. Kevin & Sabrina make a great team and make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the night. Chef Kevin explains each dish as it's being served and Sabrina adds to the experience by creating a beautiful table setting as well as checking in throughout the night to make sure you're taken care of. The food is amazing. Being pretty picky, Chef Kevin is still able to create a menu that satisfies my taste buds and definitely has me wanting leftovers. The food is so good though, leftovers are rare! The menu is catered to you and your party so there's really nothing bad to say about that. I also enjoy the fact that they make it a point to say goodbye at the end of the event! That might not seem like a big deal to most but being huge on hospitality, I admire the love and care put into each moment spent with them! Mahalo nui loa Kevin & Sabrina. Will definitely be booking over and over! read more

Our experience with The Guarden was exceptional. Kevin and Sabrina's passion and expertise for culinary and aesthetics truly shows throughout the entire evening from start to finish. They're very professional, clean & mindful the minute they step into your home providing quality service and delicious dishes. After traveling around the world, the different cuisines and diverse flavors can be recognized in Kevin's cooking, along with his plating presentation. Our guests also admired them incorporating locally sourced produce and 'farm to table' vegetables grown in their "guarden" into their dishes as well. We also appreciate the fact that they were mindful of some dietary restrictions for our guests and it was easy to alter the menu for pescatarians while still allowing those 'meat' eaters to enjoy dishes as well. For example, they cooked the Ahi Carpaccio dish for one guest who didnt eat raw fish & subbed a salmon dish for the main course instead of serving a short rib for other guests. We had sent Sabrina a picture of the dining room, and we allowed her to design as she pleased. Sabrina definitely has an eye and skill for aesthetics as well flower arrangements. Sabrina nailed the vision and the dining setup truly provided a beautiful ambiance for the night. We forgot we were in a home! Overall, our experience with The Guarden was amazing. They're professional, provide flavorful dishes, create a beautiful ambiance to enjoy dinner in the comfort of your own home and are very professional. 5 course meal, 8 guests dining. read more

Omg... this was an amazing experience.... Kevin and Sabrina are amazing.... they create a custom menu for your private dining experience and use the freshest ingredients... some of their produce and herbs come from their own guarden (Kevin's last name is Guard so they made a fun play on his name and their home garden). They bring all the tableware, glasses, etc. You just supply the location, kitchen and drinks! It is on the pricey side butttt TOTALLY worth every cent bc you get a custom, personalized experience. plus Kevin and Sabrina are so nice and personable!! They bring their experience of their many travels abroad to their creative menus and concepts. Dishes taste just as gorgeous as they look!! A bunch of friends had awesome experiences with them so our group of friends wanted to try it out too! Probably the best personal chef experience on the island. Kevin & Sabrina personalize every single dish and really make it their own. It was probably one of the best meals I had this year. For starters, we had a charcuterie platter and then for the 5-course meal, it was personalized for my best friend's birthday as a "travel around the world" meal. We traveled around the world from Thailand, Italy, Japan, and I think Kauai. Everything was so amazing that I definitely would recommend to any friend or family member looking to have a delicious meal cooked for you at your home.
