    Highly recommend Chef Kevin! 5 amazing courses. I only knocked it down to 4 stars because the communication wasn't the best. Once we were in the two week window they were very on top of it however getting it booked was a bit tough. Worth it tho!

    Chef Kevin and Sabrina are incredibly talented and awesome people. 1000/10 experience. We surprised my boyfriend's mom for her 60th birthday and she was literally brought to tears. The decorations were something out of a movie and the food was spectacular. The only private chefs I would hire!!

    Our first private-chef dinner and Kevin and Sabrina were fantastic. Special surprise birthday dinner for someone special and we were so pleased with everything they did. They accommodated our only available date, took care of menu recommendations, setup the table decor, furnished all plates, glasses, and silverware, did all of the food prep on premises, plated and served with Chef Kevin providing a detailed intro for each dish, and cleaned everything up afterward as well. The food was outstanding and portions were quite generous for the types of dishes that we selected. The ingredients were very high quality and they offer many options for number of appetizers, mains, and dessert, plus add-ons and luxury upgrades. This was an outstanding high end meal served at the venue of your choice. Highly recommend The Guarden!

    I just finished one of the best meals of my life at my niece's home. The occasion was the celebration of the tenth wedding anniversary of my niece and her husband. Chef Kevin and Sabrina brought everything they needed to provide our group of eight with a truly memorable dining experience that I will not soon forget. The creative dishes were incredible both in taste and presentation. They say you first taste with your eyes. Our eyes were treated to wonderful plating and presentation. It got better from there as our taste buds were dazzled by the subtle yet complex layers of flavors and textures. Attention to detail was evident as many dishes were accentuated with tiny colorful edible flowers fresh from Chef Kevin's garden. As each course was served, Chef Kevin told us what the ingredients were and sometimes how the dish was prepared. Both Chef Kevin and Sabrina were very personable, too, making the unique dining experience even more pleasant and special. Having eaten at Michelin rated restaurants, I have a basis for comparison. Chef Kevin's meal ranks right up there with the best. I have no hesitation in recommending Chef Kevin and Sabrina for personal chef services. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

    If you are looking for an incredibly special evening filled with the most amazing food- call The Guarden! First class all the way. Their schedule fills up quickly, so look at your calendar for this year and plan ahead for a very unique and memorable night. Don't freak out over the prices!!! If you were to go out to a nice steakhouse and also drink your fill of drinks, your per person amount would be much higher than their prices. You choose your location and can be your own bar so you can just sit back and let them do their cooking magic! Don't think you need to find a fancy place to have this dinner. They can make ANY space feel very very special! they bring everything, including the table to make the event top notch! From the first contact, you are treated wonderfully. You help in deciding the menu theme for your dinner and they do the rest. The food is just amazing. It is food that I personally would never would have had the opportunity to try. I have enjoyed two of their dinners and both were great! Would highly recommend!!

    I first heard of "The Guarden" during the COVID pandemic. The concept of a private chef coming to your home to prepare an exquisite dinner sounded very intriguing. My bestie had pre-booked this dinner experience for us months ahead to ensure that date was available. Kevin and Sabrina are amazing. Both very professional yet humble and easy to talk to. They have traveled to over 35 different counties to gain inspiration for their menu. We had ordered a 6 course dinner meal and added on an oyster appetizer and table set up with candles and flowers. Sabrina set up the table in about 15 mins and it turned out beautifully for the birthday girl. You have the option of choosing the linen color, table runner, and napkins to customize to the theme of the event. Although the portions were on the smaller end you could definitely taste the quality of the food. Food taste was 10/10! I really appreciated that a lot of the greens were either locally grown in their garden or brought in from local farms. I'm already thinking of the next special event to book them for! Don't wait too long because there weekends are filled for the next 2 months!

    Celebrated our friend's birthday and our experience was AMAZING! I honestly loooooved every dish. You have to contact them to reserve a date, with location details, and also choosing how many courses you would want and what dishes you would like to see. Not only the food was amazing, but decor was gorgeous! I would love to do this again!

    The Guarden could not have bloomed at such a better time! The pandemic has put a lot of celebrations and parties on hold--but The Guarden delivered such a life changing and memorable experience. Chef Kevin and his lovely and talented partner, Sabrina puts together the most epic experience!! From decor, the attention to details, and magnificent flavor combinations, all while supporting local farms to table concept; just breathtaking!! I'd reach out to The Guarden to celebrate a cousins baby shower-- it was the easiest planning ever! Communication with The Guarden was so easy, detailed, and they pretty much handled all the stress! I basically told them what color and theme we were going for, selected a 4 course menu based on a large variety of dish choices, and POOF the magic happens! We went for a pink/green theme for baby girl on the way and we were sooo impressed with the dishes, decor, glassware etc! Chef Kevin informed us that the menu was completely customizable, beginning with taste preference, cuisine preference, allergies and diet restrictions, and if you want more seafood, more veggies, or more meat options. They came so prepared and we had little to stress about. It was sooo convenient for them to come and cook at my cousins home! And it felt so intimate and safe considering it was in the comfort of our place/home. What a plus since it was hard to get a table for greater than 6 at a time. Upon reserving with them, I had mentioned it would be a full on surprise! They were sooo kind enough to accommodate by coming early to set up and cooked in a timely manner. The execution and freshness to each dish that Chef Kevin had prepared was out of this world!! Sabrina's genuine and friendly service made this experience soo welcoming and elegant! We decided to make our own little bar area but I also am interested in trying out The Guardens bar cart service at a next event! Let's talk dishes: opted for the 4 course and decided to do a mix of seafood and meat entrees. Ugh still drooling over them. Based on our preferences Chef Kevin created this menu: Amuse bouche Hawaiian breadfruit Dauphine Macadamia nut pesto, creme fraiche, Parmesan, black pepper First course Bubu crusted Scallop Risotto Mushroom dashi risotto, ao nori, Honshimeiji mushrooms, smoked trout roe and scallion beurre blanc, ume Second course Soy braised Pork belly Butternut squash purée, stir fried sweet potato greens, crispy garlic, Annato-chili oil Intermezzo Li Hing calamansi sorbet Entree Surf and turf Red wine braised short rib and butter poached lobster tail Truffled potato purée, seared king oyster mushroom, buttered corn, demi glacé, scallion beurre blanc Dessert Creme brûlée Fresh strawberry, warm kūlolo, whipped cream Less than $175/person including luxury charge of the lobster.     A MUST TRY EXPERIENCE! They come to where you'd like, and they make it an experience! The food is 100/10 in flavor and presentation! All I can say is, tell them what you want and you won't be disappointed! The fish dishes are superb - the intermezzo is something they should sell because let me tell you it is AMAZING. Custom it to what you want and like ie seafood, meat; add on extras like crab or lobster. Seriously everything is better than you can imagine. They come they set up, they clean up. They are better than going out! You can book them through Instagram but you gotta be fast because they are fast to fill up! Go try!

    Kevin and Sabrina are amazing! We had them cater our wedding on 2/13/22, it was the best food us or our ohana had ever had! Their skill from homegrown garden fresh food from their personal garden, to the way it was prepared and served was amazing! The flavors, the pairing, the courses and how they described in detail the course after it had been offered was by far superior to any restaurant or service I have ever seen, even on television. We have been thinking of ways to get them to return and have thought of having small intimate dinners on our anniversary's to come, just to enjoy their presence and food again and remember the best day of our lives! Kevin and Sabrina, thank you for making our day so much more that we ever could have imagined!

    Amazing to say the least!!! If you are in Oahu looking for a memorable experience either romantic or with friends you have to contact @the__guarden ! The food and service was the best I've ever had and we felt like we where traveling the world with every bite. I'm telling you imagine flavors just bursting into your mouth just taking you somewhere else. This couple will not disappoint you, they even set up the mood with decorations and music . Thank you so much for sharing your gift and passion with us. We will be doing this again!

    I can't say enough amazing things about The Guarden! More than just a delicious meal, they provide a memorable experience! Sabrina sets up the most beautiful table setting, and acts as a wonderful host. Except it's all in the comfort of your own home! Chef Kevin was born to create great food. The dishes he puts forth are full of technique, beauty, and amazing flavor! I've had The Guarden come twice and both meals are on my list of the 5 most amazing meals I've ever had. I leave the meal thinking about how tasty everything was and yet craving the next time I can have them over again. I recommend The Guarden to anyone who wants the most delicious, five-star, dining experience.

We selected Kuoha Culinary for a small family Celebration of Life for our dad. Chef Ed is so kind and easy to work with. He's busy and he secured our date upon initial communication and assured me he'd provide a preliminary proposal within a few weeks. Here's how I described our catering goals for Ed: Hoping for a fusion of local style comfort foods in an elevated style, fine restaurant quality but "not overly fancy" with several protein options and several veggie options. 2 vegetarian guests, not sure if we need dessert catered. Having never booked catering before, I based our budget on previous restaurant celebrations and gave Ed a very, very wide price per head range and told him I'd prefer if we didn't get too close to the higher end of our price range. As promised, Ed returned with a preliminary proposal and it was lower in price than I expected and included more dishes than I had thought we'd get. Ed recommended drop off service as being the most cost effective and easy option for our event. I requested changes to all three entrees and added a few vegetables and the price remained excellent due to my changes balancing each other out. In our phone consultation, Ed answered my questions clearly, concisely, and confidently. For each case where I asked Ed which of 2 or 3 dishes he recommended, he was able to understand my question and kindly offer his recommendation and he was spot on. Never once did he say the dreaded "it's a matter of personal preference". He just knew what would work best and humbly shared his knowledge and experience. I told Ed my mom doesn't really eat Lup Cheong and he said, trust me she won't notice it and it adds so much to the dish ("Local Boy" En Papillote). Sure enough, mama raved about the fish. I asked him a question about 2 different beef dishes and he explained why the dish he recommended was a better fit for drop off catering. I debated to myself about going with Ed's desserts or getting/making our own, I'm not a big dessert person. Ended up going with Ed and requested an assortment of 3 desserts rather than one, great decision because Ed's desserts were a hit. I was so impressed with my initial interactions with Ed that I was referring people to Kuoha Culinary before I even tasted the food! Fast forward to event date: Ed arrived 15 min ahead of his proposed arrival time. He texted my contact friend and me of his ETA. He politely declined our guests' offers of help and he got everything set up beautifully! Received the most compliments ever on our food! We've had many get togethers with the same people and this food experience surpassed those at previous restaurants and event venues, even the fancy ones. Guests were exclaiming raving about the quality and variety (not exaggerating) complimenting every single dish from appetizers to main dishes to veggies, to the rice to the desserts! Yes, even the humble corn and Hapa rice got rave reviews...seriously! People were scanning chef's QR code and reading aloud about the business at the table (a first) and were so grateful and genuinely wowed. The dishes that were most complimented were the Local Boy Fish En Papillote, Ahi Tataki and the mini tart desserts: Lilikoi Crème Brûlée, Ube Cream, Chef Ed's Chocolate with Haupia The quality was better than the type of restaurant where they give you a deck of cards-sized protein on a plate, with quantity being better than places where you need 2 hands to carry your plate lunch. Best combination ever! Our guests made generous plates to go. I even scraped the sauces into ziplocs to freeze for helping with my own cooking. Hours after the meal and into the next day, people were saying how much they enjoyed everything. The next day, my cousin expressed for the second time how impressed he was with Ed's ability to keep all food at the perfect temperature, texture and consistency. Kuoha Culinary surpassed our goals going beyond merely "impressing" our guests and achieved something even more meaningful: Our guests felt honored, grateful, and joyful. It is definitely nerve racking to make that decision without a tasting but we're super happy with their food and service! Taylor was really helpful and answered my endless questions during the planning process. They were also super accommodating and open to customizing some of the requests we had for both our food and bar menus. All the apps and entrees were delicious, and all of their staff is extremely friendly. The only caveat that may be helpful for others is to know they do require a pretty extensive list of equipment rentals that you need to provide, which is not included in their catering fee. Best of all, everyone is still raving about the food. Some people have told me that "it was the best wedding food they have ever had." The appetizers were sliders and garlic shrimp. The short rib and fresh white fish were showstopper entrees and all the sides garlic noodles, rice, potatoes and veggies really completed the meal! Chef Andrew also offers a oyster bar and that was a huge hit! FYI order more than less as folks were destroying these oysters and Chef was putting in work shucking them to order.
