Allergy sufferers beware: the menu clearly states that they cater for different dietary requirements however the waitress took down the order incorrectly, then blamed us and merely scraped some of the food off the plate and replated it. Great place for group dinners as food is great, fast and okay priced considering the size of the serves. *please note they do not split bills. If you are looking for a group dinner either have cash or sit in the self order section on the balcony style area where you can order you food and pay separate at the bar. Pizzas are great, curries are delish but I really enjoyed the calamari. read more

The Groove Train? More like the GROSS train! Firstly, there was a table of twenty, with 70% of the table dissatisfied with their meal. Very little choice for vegan meals (a tough choice between a bowl of fries, risotto or salad.) my risotto arrived with half cooked, chewy pumpkin and the fries were not very dissimilar to Woolworths home brand oven baked chips. I would NOT reccomend this place for anybody with standards of any sort. read more

They have a dessert calzone. Hazelnut chocolate and strawberries crammed into a sandwiched pizza and served with vanilla icecream. Yes, it's decadent. As soon as I eyed of the souvlaki on the menu, I was sold... Until I ate it & had to pay for it that is. I tend to eat a lot of tapas / Yum Cha because I can never decide on just one thing, so I asked if I could go a mix of lamb / chicken. No problems said our waitress. And there we go, I ordered it. It came & wasn't exactly the souvlaki I was hoping for. Should've known a $20 souvlaki was going to be nothing like a Fish & chip / kebab shop souva. The lamb was nice, but cubed, and a bit chewy in parts. The chicken was pieces of breast in some sort of spice, and a little dry. Nothing souva like at all. The souva wrap bread & chips were good if that counts? Dish size was huge - souva was around a footlong. Service was OK, and meals arrived in a relatively good timeframe. The biggest issue was when we came to pay - all of a sudden we had an extra 5 bucks on the bill. Turned out for having both meats cost more - yet it didn't seem like I got more meat than I would have, but more annoyed that I wasn't told upon ordering! Probably should add I've never really been a fan of groove train elsewhere before, but after years I thought if give it a go. I won't again. If rather spend less and eat in the food court, or more & get decent food for my dosh! read more

I have recently visited Groovetrain at Robina town centre with my girlfriend, her friends and kids for brunch, I have been here a couple of years back was a nice spot, great service and the food was prompt and on point..... Damn how things have changed besides the look of the place we thought it was a different restaurant. Firstly there was no staff attentiveness even though less than half full. Now when we were eventually seated we ordered beverages and food straight away.... Luckily we had alot to chat about as 30 mins later we reminded the waitress that we haven't got our coffees and milkshakes for the kids yet.... Then the conversation changed to why we haven't had our drinks yet let alone the food then the food came out 15 mins after...Still no drinks... Then few mins later I got a burnt coffee it's not bloody hard to make coffee... The big breakfast was cold, raw onions saltiest bacon ever and over cooked & basically bread it may have looked at the toaster for a second... worst breakfast meal ever, for someone that has worked in kitchens this is just not on, we were in a rush so as we left I commented as I did above to the waitress and all I got is oh you should have told me earlier......... Hope you were having a bad day because I don't want anyone to have to experience that. Cheers read more
