Richard is an artist. If my hair was a slab of marble, then Richard is Michelangelo and my hair is his David. I've been with Richard for almost 3 years now and during those 3 years, I have received numerous compliments about my fresh fades and am frequently asked who my barber is. Not only is Richard an artist and mastermind with all things hair, but he's very kind, a fantastic conversationalist, and extremely up to date with the current hairstyle trends. The only negative thing that I have to say about Richard is that once you make him your barber, you'll never see another barber the same ever again because your standards will be unrealistically high. While I encourage you to recommend Richard to your friends once he becomes your barber, please try to keep him somewhat of a secret so that we can continue to steal everyone's girls. read more

I had two wonderful experiences with Richard. I was getting married and since I had never gotten a professional shave before, I did a "dry run" to see what I was in for and was so impressed I immediately booked for the day before my wedding. Richard was awesome both time, he takes his time to make sure everything is perfect and goes the extra mile. I felt pampered and walked out with my face feeling and looking better than it ever has. Next time I need a professional shave I will 100% be returning . Highly recommend. read more

Richard is a great guy and a fantastic barber! I have been going to the Groomsman for the past 3 years and I always leave with an excellent haircut. I love that you can book an appointment rather than these big haircut chains where you get someone different every time and have to wait forever. He always has good music playing and a very comfortable studio. I highly recommend you try him out! read more

Richard did an unbelievable job of grooming and shaping my new growth beard. My wife loves the professional look. Wow, big difference in going with an experienced pro. It's not the price, its the quality. It's your face, man. Do it right!! And Richard nailed it! read more

When I find someone that cuts my hair the way I like it, I stick with them. Richard has been cutting my hair for 3-1/2 years now so that tells you how good of a job he does. But it's not just the cut, it's how it grows in that is important as well, and he hits the mark there with every cut. Added bonus with every cut, I get to visit Charlie!! read more

Best barber in Orange County. Easy online booking and awesome experience every time. Book early though, his schedule does get full!

Richard is a solid dude and a solid barber- one of his many talents. High attention to detail and at the same time a very laid back haircut setting/vibe. Overall I've been really impressed with Richard's skill , he's genuinely a great barber/hair stylist and has all the right tools to make you feel super clean and fresh- no doubt. If you need a cut and a good down to earth conversation- stop over thinking it and book that appointment! read more

Best haircut I've had a while. It was easy to book and the whole experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Had my first haircut at the groomsman and I'm very impressed with the attention to detail and style especially given that it was my first time! I will definitely be back to enjoy another haircut with Richard read more

Hair Cut Richard was awesome, had a great first experience - super laid back, instead of a busy shop floor it's just you and your old friend Rich catching up while he effortlessly delivers an excellent cut, hot towel, and all the TLC of an artisan. Left stoked, will definitely be returning from now on - it's not just the cut, its the experience that sells it! read more

TLDR; Richard gives good cuts. He works out of Sola Salons. There is plenty of parking. Richard is professional and very welcoming. I like that you can book an appointment with him through the internet. read more

So disappointed. Made my first appointment and walked out elated that I had finally after 12 years in the OC found an outstanding stylist to cut my hair. Richard was excellent, taking his time to understand the challenges of my hair that I deal with daily. The finished haircut was perfect. Then it was time for another appointment. Tried to book on line and his hours were extremely limited due to no weekends or evenings available because he had reduced his hours. Left voicemails and sent text messages and not even a courtesy return call or text message. I found it to be rude, disappointing and very poor customer service. Have moved on and hopefully ultimately have found a better and polite option. read more

Richard is the MAN!! Been going to him for a few years now and always have an amazing conversation and leave feeling so fresh and clean!! Online booking is simple and easy. Thank you brother! read more

Richard is truly an amazing stylist/groomsman. I have been a client of Richard's for several years and his knowledge of all things styling and grooming is quite in depth. He is a consummate professional, and in my opinion, keeps up with current men's styling trends, while also having an in depth knowledge of classic looks and styles. I'm staying with Richard until he retires (LOL)! Richard has helped me maintain my beard, and helped me find looks that are not only appropriate to my age group, but stylish and contemporary as well. But whatever age group you are in, or if you have a child who is looking for a cool style, Richard is the master. Just make an appointment; you won't be sorry. In a world full of barber peons and wannabes, he is the styling/cutting/grooming master. read more

I've been coming to Richard for 3 years now. He's very personable and great skills with the razors. With the appointment maker, I never have to wait like some other male barbers. Highly recommended! read more

First time here but definitely not my last. Richard was great, you can tell he loves what he does and he's a PRO. Place was super clean and parking was a breeze. He really helped me out with my pre-wedding haircut! Also, I loved how easy it was to book online. read more

No one can do what Richard L does!!! He is overall amazing. He is super fun, attentive, and over all just an amazing person. I have gone to Richard for a lot of different reason: a line-up, in-between cuts, hard parts, undercuts, and full haircuts. Always an amazing experience when it comes to getting a hair cut with him. You will leave with a professional haircut and will want to keep coming back. read more

Richard is a professional beyond measure. Every time I get his services, I leave feeling like a new man. He handles the razor blade with surgical precision and accuracy. I've never had to ask him to fix anything after his services. I'm honestly surprised he's not a surgeon. He puts a lot of thought into how my hair and beard would look best and he clarifies what he'll do before cleaning up my face. He's definitely someone who has 100 percent of my trust, which is hard to get. read more

Always a happy ending after a session with Richie. Been coming on...I mean to him for years. Won't go anywhere else.

It's so hard these days to get a quick, quality haircut with salon-style treatment at a fair price. That's why I'm convinced Richard at V's is some sort of ultra-friendly miracle barber. For many years I went without a dedicated barber or stylist. I figured my cut wasn't anymore complicated than any other men's cut, so I'd go to a cheap walk-in place by my work and be okay with the results. But when I switched jobs in 2016 I needed a different place close to my new office that I could hit on lunch breaks. On my first visit to V's I didn't have an appointment, and Richard was the barber who happened to be available to cut my hair. That was almost a year ago and I haven't let anyone else cut my hair since. He's a super chill dude -- even though I've always found small talk with barbers awkward and unnecessary, I thoroughly enjoy my conversations with Richard. He's personable and remembers the random crap I tell him each visit. Most importantly, he does fantastic work and gets the job done FAST! And when it comes to hair care he knows his stuff. With many of the same amenities and services of an absurdly overpriced salon, V's is the perfect place for a complimentary beer and quick cut at a reasonable price, and Richard is the right guy for the job! It only takes about 2 minutes to book my appointments with him on their website; and within about 20 minutes he cuts my hair, uses a soothing hot towel to clean up my scalp and face, gives a fine back massage with the classic barber... uh, vibrator, and then sends me on my way. Book an appointment at V's with Richard! He does not disappoint. read more

I can recommend Richard. He does a quick clean cut and entertains you in the process. He also gives professional style advice. All included.

I have been going to Richard for almost a year now. I left my barber I was seeing for over ten years, just because of how good a job Richard does. He is the only person I trust to touch my hair and beard now! I always get compliments when I'm out out in public after I leave the shop! Richard not only makes sure I leave the shop looking great, he also gives me lots of great advice on maintaining my look and what products to use. He is very sociable and personable, a forty minute haircut seems like it only lasts five minutes! Richard is the kind of guy you could easily just sit down and talk to. If you are in need of a barber, look no further, Richard is your guy! Hands down the best barber in Orange County! read more
