We selected Paws in Place for our dog's stay because we knew that she wouldn't be put in a kennel, but would rather be integrated into a family's life for a week as if she was one of their own. Our dog enjoyed hanging out with the owners' (Nathan and Erica's) dogs, as well as joining them at work throughout the week. When we picked her up, we knew that she had a great time. She was super excited to see us, but she also ran back to Nathan to give him a quick kiss goodbye. I highly recommend Paws in Place for your boarding needs. Not only were Nathan and Erica wonderful, but they also were accommodating when it came to this dog mom missing her pup. They were more than willing to answer a phone call day or night, and also send photo updates throughout the stay. Thanks for a great experience, Paws in Place!

Well, I have a miniature schnauzer and the various places I've tried didn't really WOW me with their grooming services. But this place definitely did!! Definitely kept my pups beard long, nails trimmed short, skirt was kept long while his upper body was cut short.

After picking him up, the groomer said he did great and had no issues. When I brought him home, I noticed he was licking his stomach area and upon checking he had a gash that was red and irritated. I called, spoke with the owner and all she could give me was an "I'm sorry" and that "they didn't know it happened". As a professional, shouldn't you check your work and ensure the animal is safe and comfortable?? Do NOT take your dog here because their lack of empathy and professionalism is sup par. I was truly disappointed.

As a non-driver I like to have as many mobile services as possible on our roster because it just makes our life simpler. After I called and made an appointment for Blue and explained that I was allergic to nearly everything on the planet Earth, Jessica was kind enough to work with us and offer to use our shampoo to bathe Blue. I also explained that Blue suffers from arthritis and we worked out a plan for Blue-Bird to not need to stand during her entire haircut and bath. Blue has been groomed before and I always felt a tad apprehensive dropping her off at the other groomer, but I have to say, even though I knew she was just in front of the house, I felt at ease with Jessica. After her bath and trim Blue looked amazing! The best part, Blue, a normally shy and timid senior dog who does not warm up around strangers, was so happy. It was obvious that even though Blue had just had a bath, which is not her favorite activity, she was treated sweetly because Blue was in a good mood. For practical purposes, I had been brushing and trimming Blue for the past four or five years, but she needed a professional to clean her up a bit. Blue received a mini groom and because she was sensitive around the ears and my allergies precluded the ear cleaning, her ears were just wiped out. Her nails were trimmed and the hair around her feet were trimmed. The dryer and brush got out a lot of her undercoat. She looks fantastic and her coat feels so much better.
