So you tell the lady at the desk what you want. Show her a picture of the exact cut (actually him cut at another groomer in a different state) and leave. Then she hands your dog off to the actual groomer without any direction or description, of what you just told her you would like of your dog. Doesn't matter what the dog's hair looks like they are always "matted and need shaved." We maintain our boys with baths and grooming between hair cuts. They're schnoodles, they aren't ever matted. Then when you show up to pickup your dog they bring out your boy (THEY WILL ONLY BRING YOUR DOG IUT AFTER YOU PAY) and immediately get upset about what they did. She takes him back for corrections. He comes out again still wrong. Ask to speak to the actual groomer after getting the corrections wrong twice. The groomer comes out of the cave, you show the groomer the pic you showed the receptionist and the groomer says "Ooohhhhh" like she had NO IDEA what you actually wanted. Then when you try to bring your other dog in because you now believe they've got an understanding of what you want and there aren't any other options around they don't answer your calls. You then call from your work phone (different number) and they don't have time for you. They'd obviously blocked the personal number. Btw, The collar wasn't put back on our boy they screwed up on. Noticed it was missed days later because he had the groomer scarf on. Had to call from the work phone to see if they had it because the other number is blocked. Yep. We got it. The name tag and both numbers are on the collar. Why not call us to say it's left there? This is the saddest excuse for a groomer I've ever experienced. The owner needs to get ahold of her staff to create an understanding that they're not just shaving dogs how they want. They need to execute the wishes of the pet parents. They need to communicate at a much higher level. They need to scrub it all and start from scratch. We've been here multiple times. I wouldn't even pull in the parking lot to turn around to go somewhere else. Horrible service. Horrible care. Update. Just stopped to get the collar. Asked why I had to call a week later to see if it was there. At first she lied and said she called. Then she lied and said she didn't notice it was there. Then she point to a basket FULL of collars not put back on the dog after being groomed. I asked why she doesn't call the numbers on the tags of the basket full of collars. This is a well run small business that, in my opinion, strives to provide good care with efficient service at a reasonable price to our community. Are they perfect? I'm sure not. Are they very good? Resoundingly, YES. Those girls are always working hard and being kind when we go in there. My dog comes back happy and looking fresh and fabulous from her appointments. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable in every way!!!!! As a Vice President of exceptionally larger business, if any of my 125+ employees EVER spoke to a customer this way, they would be FIRED IMMEDIATELY. This is an absolute outrage, and the employee and owner should be ashamed of themselves treating an elderly disabled customer like this. I wanna know why my Senior father that came in with his dog, was mistreated by a groomer that decided to be rude, disrespectful, impatient, and hateful. This happened over my father dropping off his dog at 1:00, and asking questions about how short the dog should be cut and inquiring about a handful of things. He has used Groom Room multiple times with no issues. He informed them he would be able to pickup around 4:15 due to a quick doctors appointment he had at 3:30, the groomer TOLD my father his dog was last, and they leave immediately after the last dog and she needed to be picked up earlier. He was informed that they ask for 3 hours, be the dog should be done before that. He was confused that when they ask for 3 hours it should be around 4pm to pickup, and again the groomer takes a senior citizen asking questions as being difficult. He mentioned to the front desk manager, that the groomer was rude to him. She said she would go back and handle the groomer, then as she opened the door the groomer loudly stated "I ain't dealing with this customer out front" and continued spouting hate. He had to change his appointment, which is already a task for a senior citizen, all because a company doesn't want to stay open till it's 5pm listed time. His appointment was thankfully changed due to a no show, and he was able to pickup the dog at 3:40. Both the rude groomer and manager were still at the location. The groomer brought the dog out, and my father confronted her rude attitude by stating "You were rude to me earlier". She then rudely stated "You ask too many questions, you didn't have the proper paperwork for your dog, and you were combative, our owner has already said if we have any problems with you, we can tell you not to come back anymore"... He told her "your a pathetic individual", and as he left she came out the front door and told my father "Don't ever come back" then slammed the door. Let's not mention after looking at the dog, the groomer did a less than acceptable cut to the dog, but that's not the issue, this would have been overlooked if the employees were respectful. I will be filing complaints with the BBB, visiting the Chamber of Commerce, and my reach of acquaintances spreads across Middle Georgia, everyone will be informed about this disrespectful behavior from the Groom Room. read more

Best groomers I've visited. They're always calm and patient with my dog. I won't use any one else.

We had been taking our two small dogs there since October 2022. We were always pleased with the grooming services. I had trouble making appointments for both dogs to be groomed on their website so I contacted them and was told both could come in on a different day at a specified time. Great. When we showed up we were told that the appointments were for baths only. They could not be groomed that day and we would have to make new appointments. No apologies, no explanation. Groomers are good. Whoever is working the phones and website not so much. We'll be looking elsewhere. It's a shame because we like to support Perry businesses and we thought we had a good thing going at the Groom Room but I guess they don't want our support... read more

****STAY AWAY. RUN. DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE***** If I could, I'd give the place -10 stars. I took my dog in for an Asian Fusion cut. I spoke with the groomer, showed her a picture of what I wanted. I also mentioned we'd had a previous groomer use the excuse of matting to shave our dog. She assured me she didn't find any mats. After 5 hrs, and not being contacted, I returned. My dog came out and immediately began licking herself and dragging her butt. The groomer said this was normal. When I got home found she had been cut and razor burn. Four days after that, she began shaking her head and scratching her ears. Since we had an appointment to have blood drawn for heart worms, we asked if was possible to see the vet as well. He said she had ear infections in both ears and her private area was also infected. I contacted the Groom Room to let them know what the vet said. Instead of taking any responsibility, she started making excuses. I sent her a copy of the vet bill. After receiving it, she claims the vet told her to only pay for the medication, which she said was $38. That was what we paid for the test! The medications and office visits came to $126.24. Plus we paid $67 for the grooming, which was nothing like the photo and definitely NOT an Asian fusion! read more
