My beautiful Ragdoll Siamese cat lost the tip of her ear while being groomed at Pooch Parlor. This…read morewas the 3rd time that I had her groomed there. My cat was the first appointment of the day. When I picked her up, she was already in her carrier, so I was unaware of the injury, but when I let her out of her carrier at home, her ear was dripping blood across the floor. When I reached out to Melissa about the injury, she said she was totally unaware. I found this very hard to believe as ears really bleed and should have been very noticeable. Obviously ears don't grow back. I debated for sometime on whether I would leave this review or not. It has been months since we had this experience, but I am reminded daily when I see her ear. I would have posted a photo but too hard to do so.

They were very attentive and thoughtful--when they noticed my dog's coat tends to get dry, they made sure to use a hypoallergenic shampoo. His nails were clipped and filed very well, too. We were taking our old boy, Benson, to Linda…read morefor several years, and since he passed, we've been taking our new young pup Gus to see Linda. She just has a way with animals. She and her staff, who are so well taught by her, see things that others will miss, they notice why your pup may be doing things, itching, wearing on a space, etc. West Salem grooming is just the best no comparison. Thanks so much Linda. Benson, and Gus are grateful.

We've been going here for over a year. Our regular groomer, Miranda, took off for maternity and now…read moremy dog, Maggy, "is too aggressive - it's a safety issue." She wouldn't let them work on one of her paws. She's never let them work on one of her paws. She shows teeth but they've never reported anything more. It's unfortunate and a little disappointing. They do an alright job. It's super convenient but Moon our german shepherd is always really damp when I pick her up and it's a hit or miss with the proper grooming especially around the potty area where if not done properly can create a mess and the hair matted since our last grooming. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked them to please pay more attention to that area when I dropped them off. It's a bit of a mad house but I appreciated them working with us with Maggy's sensitivity to her paw being worked on.
