Boy, am I happy! Let me start by saying that a dull knife is not what you want to be using. My husband bought me a set of Wusthof knives years ago, mainly because for years I had cheap ones that would be ok for a bit, but then after time, they really ended up trash. I cook....and I cook A LOT, so my knives get a workout. In looking for a place to get my treasured knives sharpened locally, the reviews were coming in and they were not that good. It used to be that we could get our stuff sharpened at our local, small business hardware store (not a company owned place like Ace, Lowe's or Home Depot). It was an employee that was trained and knew what they were doing. There is one local place by us these days and they have never done sharpening....and the company places had very poor reviews. We could never catch the guy at our local farmer's market....so I went looking because my knives were in need! The Grindstone showed up in my search. Since we have friends that live in the area, we figured we would take a shot. Dropped my knives off this morning and I have them back already....lol, I was stressing I was going to be stressing out that my small chef's knife was going to be gone for DAYS! I have them back already and they look great and they are totally ready for service!! The prices were very reasonable and we loved the system of drop off and pickup.
