It was a miracle we found a place, not too far from Fort Drum, because the total solar eclipse happened on April 8th. Lots of Upstate New York was under the direct path. My son and daughter-in-law stayed with us the first night and we scrambled to find a place to have dinner. My son and daughter-in-law had been to The Channelside before so we called to make a reservation. Definitely ask for a table closest to the river or sit on the outdoor patio if the weather is nice. We all liked our dinner. I had a great salad with chicken and possibly a moscow mule. I was too tired to keep track of everyone else's meals, but everyone seemed content. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, open at 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. On the weekend they are open at 11:30 a.m.. Definitely go for lunch and sit outside on a nice day.
