The place, they call boarding, my bad for referring to as a vet. I use professionals that provide both services usually. Still the most unprofessional "boarding" facility I have dealt with in this country. From New York to California and in between. My dogs are not pooches and I am not an uneducated woman as implied! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! this is by far my favorite review to right! not only because I love this place, but because my boy LOVES this place! being the facbook junkie i am, i saw an article culturemap posted on their fb page about a new doggie daycare in eado. i read the article and decided that i wanted to give this place a try being it was so close to home and i was looking for a place for the puppers to hang during the day while i was at work. so we head over for the first time just for a bath. LOVED the vibe of this place. met the owners and chatted it up a bit and left my man there. came back a few hours later and he was clean and seemed to have a great time. so i figured lets give this day care thing a shot! so we did. and that was it. we were in love. little man comes home time after time WORN out! and i really love the fact that i see him being taken on walks! prices are on the cheaper side compared to midtown at 25 bucks for a full day, but they are actually going to work up a package deal for me! love supporting new business and this one place i intend on supporting for a long time! read more

I don't have enough good things to say about this place. Our pup loves it here. He's learned the name and the drive, and his excitement as he exits the car and sees The Green Bone door is amazing. He comes home content and exhausted, and I know he's had a wonderful day. The employees here are friendly and accommodating, and they have an awesome selection of food, treats and paraphernalia to keep your pup happy when they come home. We take our Aussie Cooper here a couple times a month for daycare. Cooper has an endless amount of energy but he comes back complete exhausted every time. It's a great way to socialize your dogs and get out their energy. As soon as we pull up to the green bone, he gets so excited! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they care about Cooper as much as we do! So glad we found the Green bone! read more

So, after being charged double what their website states, I was contacted by the owner trying to justify their pricing. They stated that the price for a mediums dog is $55 'and up'. They also stated that 'prices are subject to change depending on style requested, condition of coat, and length of fur.' I saw this disclaimer before going in, and I expected that if there were some additional charges for length etc. that it would be something reasonable - say $65...maybe $70. No reasonable person would expect that any length of hair would nearly double the starting price posted on their website. To test my theory, I called 2 local groomers. I priced a 25 lbs. Goldendoodle (full groom). At Yale Street Dog House I was told $50 and @ Urban Tails it was $55. That is the going price to groom my dog - not almost $100! read more

Love this place and am so happy to have finally found somewhere I feel 100% comfortable leaving our bulldog Homer. We'd been to 2 other daycares before the Green Bone and this is the only place where he is pulling us to get inside and start playing. I love this place! I took both my dogs here last week and I was super nervous about leaving them for the first time, but as soon as I got there I could tell the employees were doing everything they could to make my dogs feel comfortable. When I came to pick them up they each got a report card so I got to see how they spent their day! Not only that but they were so tired, they played with the other dogs and they were walked! They slept the whole night once we got home. It's totally worth every penny to bring my dogs in! Employees were friendly too! read more

I love this place, and my sweet pup does too! We have sent her to doggy daycare a few times, and have boarded her once. She always comes home happy and totally exhausted from all of the fun playtime! I know she loves it because now when we pull up to drop her off in the morning, her little tail starts wagging - it is totally adorable. The price is totally reasonable, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the shop is very nice. I cannot recommend this place enough. We recently left our puppy (5 months) here for 5 days. It was the first time we have boarded our puppy anywhere. From the outset the staff were very attentive and courteous. After the initial evaluation visit we received a 'report card' on the pups' behaviour with the other dogs. Our pup passed with flying colours however it shows that the staff and the establishment take very good precautions with all dogs using the facility. Our pup was also on mild medication at the time of boarding however this proved to be no issue with the staff. Upon our return and collection our puppy was very happy (as one would expect) and has only shown positive behaviours reinforcing our confidence with the facility. Yes the pup is wiped out but that is to be expected with all the interaction. We will definitely board our pup here again and I recommend the facility very highly to other dog owners. read more

This place is AMAZING. The manager and staff are so great and caring for the pups, that it makes you keep wanting to keep coming back! The prices are extremely affordable and the best part is that when your pooch is there, it is like they are at their own home since it is so homelike. Both the manager and the staff will love your pooch as if they were theirs, so if you are in the area, you should definitely check them out. With their organic dog food and treats, you can't go wrong with leaving your pooch for few hours while you work or go out of town. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

Our 2 frenchies loved the GB!! I am a little OCD and this was my 1st ever boarding experience so I was a bit apprehensive. I am also extremely pleased with how my babies were treated. They are high maintenance with dietary conditions and have daily allergy meds that must be taken. The staff was reliable and our babies had fun and came back to us happy and healthy. I've now boarded my dog here twice, plus the required intro visit, and wanted to share my thoughts. My thoughts are exclusively on the boarding program for overnight stays - I have not used the daily "doggy day care" services. I'm a first time dog owner of a toy poodle. She's a rescue and would generally be described as a "people dog." She has played with other dogs in the past, so I wasn't worried about her being totally unsocialized, but I also didn't have much confidence that she would love being around other dogs all day and night. After checking out several doggy day cares and asking friends/locals/vets for recommendations, I selected the Green Bone for four main reasons (listed here in no particular order): 1) Location I live in Midtown, so I wanted something nearby. When I'm heading out of town I need to be able to drop my dog off without also stopping by some far-off suburb. I'm happy to see the Green Bone contributing to what I hope will continue to be the positive growth trajectory of EaDo. Extra convenient, unrelated bonus: right across the street from the Food Truck park! 2) Size At least when I went to check it out this fall, they said they typically don't have more than 12-15 dogs in house/boarding at any given time. I'm not sure if this number has remained the same, but it's a number that definitely attracted me to Green Bone over other local options where upwards of 50 dogs might be boarded at any given time. The small size appeals to me, since it ensures my dog isn't just another (adorable) face in the crowd, and I bet it appeals to my pooch - who might be overwhelmed in a sea of too many dogs. 3) Philosophy/process The Green Bone lets dogs roam free during the day, big or small, and then kennels everybody at night. I really like this for my dog, who I imagine (based on her day-to-day tendencies) might feel exhausted after a day of stimulation from other dogs. I also like to send her to Green Bone with her dog bed and a t-shirt that smells like me, and they happily house these in her kennel for her. Of course, they give the disclaimer that other dogs could get in to the kennel when it's open during the day - and I'm ok taking on that risk. Other doggy day cares do not allow personal possessions for that very reason, but I like having the option to send my pup with comfort items from home. I can't remember verbatim the walk schedule for overnight boarding, but I recall something about an 11pm walk and a 6am walk, which suits me fine - I believe this is in lieu of staffing 24 hrs, and I'm fine with that (but please, Green Bone, correct me if I've misspoken!) 4) Staff They're just so damn friendly. They clearly love dogs, and I love that. They've been super accommodating and have always remembered my dog's name, even though she stays quite infrequently. I loved the "report card" that I got after her initial assessment visit - describing how she spent the 6 hrs acclimating to her first time at the Green Bone. As long as the Green Bone remains small and stick by their current model of how they handle boarders (out during the day, kenneled over night) I plan on sticking with them. From what I can tell from my few visits there, my dog is one of only a few small dogs on site, but that hasn't been a deterrent at all for me (and she's not frightful - if anything, she's just disinterested in other dogs). Lots of great parking is a plus, too, so a pick-up or drop-off isn't accompanied by panicked double parking or endless circling of the block. They're really well priced for overnight boarding compared to other local boarding facilities. I'm a fan! My only wish is that there was earlier drop-off on Saturday mornings (currently they don't accept dogs until 9:30am) and more flexible pick-up hours on Sundays. On Sundays, they only accept pick-ups during two two-hour windows, one in the morning and one in late afternoon; I've actually had to alter flight plans to accommodate this window, which I find frustrating. I also don't know specifically what would/could happen if, for example, I had a delayed flight - would I have no option but to leave my dog for another night? That would really add a new degree of panic on an already difficult travel day - so I hope that, should I ever encounter such a situation, Green Bone finds a way to help me out (all of this being hypothetical, clearly). For what it's worth, I'd happily pay some kind of extra fee or penalty to either drop my dog off earlier on a Saturday or later on a Sunday - flexibility is so valuable to me. I live in Eado and love having The Green Bone in the neighborhood for my dog Suki. Super convenient to drop her off on the way to work. She looks forward to her weekly visits ..I can tell she has her favorite staff members, but all of the employees seem to be friendly and helpful. I have boarded her there as well. I'm probably on the neurotic side of a pet parent..can't help it...that's my kid lol and I want to make sure she's taken care of in my absence and I feel confident that she is at Green Bone. If ever I've had a concern or question they've been addressed. Like the other reviewers I wish they had a webcam so I could occasionally view how she handles the multi dog environment, but aside from that I definitely recommend them and have...a coworker now takes his dogs there. read more

We are thrilled to have The Green Bone in the neighborhood and have a natural and organic option at that. I stopped by and met the owners a week or two ago and they were both very knowledgeable about their product. I purchased a hemp collar for my dog and will be stopping by this week for dog food. They also have daycare for those who need their little ones supervised while they are away. read more
