Thank god I did, he loved it. We went with the company NY carriage rides since 1979 & Our tour guide was Christina. The horse was named Oreo. When we got there, Oreo was drinking water and had eaten some carrots. We took 3 breaks during the carriage ride to allow Oreo to rest and take photos. Christina was great and told us a lot of history about the park that we never knew about. Our tour was 65 minutes and we loved every minute of it. My son even got to feed Oreo twice at the end. We made sure to tip well. Highly recommend doing this tour!

NYC Horse Carriage Rides offers a guided, slow-paced tour of major landmarks without the physical effort of walking (phew). Thank goodness! The ride was accompanied by a knowledgeable driver who provided us with a little bit of history. He also provided insights into the parks landmarks and filming locations (that was pretty cool)- Friends, John Wick, and Home Alone. Our driver was kind enough to take photos of us at different scenic spots! Prices generally range from $80 for 20-30 min rides or $150 for full-loop rides. It's totally worth it! It's such an awesome experience! Highly recommend it for anyone looking to tour Central Park in a fun and unique way!

My local subway station the Q entrance at 94th street has finally gotten rid of the horrible…read morescaffolding that was covering it forever and a day. Multiple working escalators here but no elevator. There is usually a food cart next to the entrance where you can score a bottle of water for a dollar. A new deli market recently opened next to it. Also, at this entranceway this is no MTA booth here being manned and usually no staff guarding the turnstiles. I've viewed many people not paying and hopping over or crawling under the turnstiles over the years.

There's also a Public Space area. The food carts are still doing a good business on this side of the street too. When I was there today people were waiting in line at my favorite vendor. I used to get a Raisin Free Muffin from him. I'll be adding the new market when it opens. For the commuters you can't miss the market. It butts right up close to the train escalators!

The service was good food also good, decor and ambience pretty nice and the throwback music was just the right accompanyment. There were charcuterie boards for us to snack on (nice touch) a five course meal and a cocktail included with the purchase. The starter was grilled shrimp, Cesar salad, for my meal I selected the salmon, it came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Service was fast and friendly. The view were nice, seeing The City at night on the water is a great way to send the evening. The only area of opportunity I saw was the boarding process. There were no clear signs for where to meet, folks were wondering around trying to figure out which vessel was ours and there needed to be another person helping to check guests in.

Prior to that we'd been on other photo trips with noted photographers like Ken Rockwell, but NYC Photo Safari offered much more detailed "hands-on" instruction and feedback about our shots. It was a very fulfilling experience and after three hours we had more great shots than we ever got during three days of shooting elsewhere. Since then we've gone on almost all of the safaris; e.g., Iconic NY Parts 1&2, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and Composition Boot Camp. The pictures we captured were good enough that we've printed and sold many of them. Another interesting aspect of these tours is that they attract interesting people from all over the world. A few months ago we completed a recent nighttime 3-1/2 Bridges Tour that involved taking just about every mode of transit NYC has to offer. Again it was a superb time and yielded a bevy of presentation-quality, marketable images.

Each day, the photo sessions started at 12:30 pm and ended approximately 10:30 pm each evening touring every part of Manhattan in every direction. It sounds like alot but each day just flew by. The instructors were incredibly professional and patient. They imparted their vast photographic knowledge, taking their time to explain the composition and reason/purpose of each shot. It was a lot of information and I definitely grow as a photographer. I want give big thank you Zim, who took her time to answer all of my question not matter how insignificant. She help me "think outside the box" to examine some of my preconceived ideas and in a new light (no pun intended...not). Thank you, Thank you Zim for opening eyes and ears and to new ideas and images. Your generosity and support was very much appreciated. Unfortunately it's neither ADA compliant, nor scheduled in the near future with accessibility upgrades. In 2006, the MTA installed faceted glass windows designed by Jamaican artist Noel Copeland named "Leaf of Life," honoring the Bronx's gardens and nature with each pane incorporating elements of plants.
