Inspired by Portland's poetic fall color, it was a spontaneous decision for us to try out some professional photography to capture our dog Luna's pawsonality. The supposedly 40-minute photo-shoot session turned out to be a 2-hour adventure of fun, agility, training/learning and discoveries for us and for Luna. If you are looking for a professional photographer who has creative vision and great craftsmanship, who loves dogs and knows how to make the dogs shine. Teran is the one. Before working with Teran, I had reviewed quite a few pet photographers on Instagram and have decided to follow Teran's work. Teran's photography style is truthful to his leading characters, the dogs. He captures the beauty of his subjects' emotions, energy, living-in-the-moment quality, relationships with their humans and love of nature. During our entire working process from the pre-shoot, shooting to the post selection/delivery, Teran was extremely understanding, communicative, prepared, on time. During the shoot, he and Luna (and us) experimented different actions, settings, lighting and moods. I could tell Luna had such a great time to 'play' with Teran and to be her goofy, happy and athletic self in front of his camera. It was one of the highlights for Luna's adventure in 2018! Adopting Stella was such a huge event in our life, I really wanted to capture some of the puppy times before they were gone. And she was growing so fast, I knew I had to act quick! Kelly did an amazing job capturing our life with dog. Stella was a little tense/nervous/confused about all the commotion and posing for pictures, so I was worried that would show through in the photos. I was also afraid that my own awareness of the camera would not allow us to look natural in photos. I was so wrong! I recently got my dog's photos and I think they are very cute!! However, I would like to point out that his communication levels are unprofessional when it comes to letting clients know there will be delays in receiving your pictures. I feel I was reasonable in expecting to get my photos back to me before Christmas so that I could send out Christmas cards to friends and family, and receiving them after the holiday season was over was very disappointing, despite asking for updates several times on multiple platforms. From several others who participated in the same or similar events (including those who paid for the photos and did not get a free employee photoshoot), I have heard that communication was a common issue experienced. Ultimately, if you are a local business considering working with this photographer, I would caution against that, as you risk your client base's trust by working with someone with subpar communication skills. To the photographer: if you are struggling to complete a project or have something come up, sending out a mass email is not difficult to keep everyone in the loop. By being silent and leaving people wondering where the photos they are waiting for are, you cannot expect to have repeat customers or to build your client base. I hope you learn from this experience and can manage better in the future.

Diamond Dogs is such a special place. It was the go-to for my Golden Retriever, Drevans, who required weekly bathing with medicated shampoo for his skin allergies. He would RUN to the door he loved Diamond Dogs so much. My new dog is a Great Pyrenees that is skitterish from living on the streets and hurts himself if crated. He needs patience and special attention. All three of the groomers have worked with him so that he is now relaxed and calm while being groomed. Like I said, AMAZING!
