Even just the other day, a couple came in and they hadn't been there before, and we were just talking and they said "This is such a nice place." It's like Cheers. I walk in the door and end up hugging like everyone before I even get my name on the pool table (they also have a really nice pool table. I've been playing for years now as a result.) The owners Big J and Dave are awesome... I'm kind of overflowing with compliments here but it's just... it's the best place. If I had to choose what I was going to do with my night, my day, whatever, just getting out, it would be The Garage. Absolutely awesome. They were very responsive and professional- even though the party was just a few days out! Once they came to our place, they setup quickly and efficiently. The band was a surprise for the guest of honor and the invited guests. Needless to say everyone was BLOWN AWAY by how awesome the band looked and most importantly sounded. We sat outside, but weren't told that there would be a band playing 10 minutes after we sat down - 15 feet form our table, with their PA system at 11. The band was okay, but the vocalist thought screaming was a solid plan to aid in digestion. It wasn't that busy but it took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. They felt bad so they brought part of our order early, then said it would be another 6 minutes. It was more than 10. The server felt bad and halved out bill - but still. Then we saw the 3.5% added tax the Harbor District adds to the bill!!! WHAT?!?!? Needless to say, we won't be going back to Mrs. Olsen's and won't be eating at any restaurants in the Harbor District.
