With The Gradon being right on our doorstep, my family and I have been regulars at the restaurant for many years. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are polite and always eager to please their customers. The owners of the business are very modest, and they too are eager to please and satisfy their customers. The best thing about The Gradon is definitely the food, and the Blackened Steak is to die for! Should you wish to go to The Gradon, booking is essential, for you will be disappointed because on the weekends it is usually fully booked, which, of course, is a good sign for any restaurant.
A lot of people tend to complain about the wait for their meals, saying that the wait is very long. I agree, the wait is long, but that is to be expected in a restaurant that caters for almost ninety people a night on a Friday or Saturday. If you do not like waiting for over twenty minutes for a meal, then don't go to The Gradon, go to McDonalds instead. The wait, in my opinion, is a good thing, because it shows that the food is all homemade and that the chefs take extra care when cooking your meal. Another complaint is that the prices on the meals are high. If you appreciate good, home-cooked food, then you will be willing to pay their A la Carte prices.
And lastly, the homemade Chocolate Cheesecake is a must try. It is amazing! The Gradon, ever since opening under new owners seven years ago or more, has really done well and is very successful. The village is lucky to have such a lovely restaurant with such good food! read more
