It is wonderful to see their development every day not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly committed to helping the children learn and grow. Knowing that our children are in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment gives us so much peace of mind. We deeply appreciate all the attention, teaching, and care they receive every day. Thank you for everything you do for our kids. We highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a place that truly cares about children and their development. Thank you so much

When we first enrolled our daughter in February of last year I was more nervous than a freshman…read morestarting high school. I just "wasn't ready" and wasn't sure if someone else could take care of my child the same way I could, but Anna allowed me to rest assured that my daughter was well taken care of with all the updates featuring diaper changes, pictures playing outside or with toys inside, eating lunch/snack, and always providing detailed updates during pick up. Anna was the BEST teacher Qira has ever had and I'm so glad that she was our first experience entering a daycare and set the standard for how people who work at a daycare should be. If you aren't aware with how daycare works it goes by the age and once my daughter turned 2 1/2 she was moved to a different room as she should've. We were excited to see how much growth would happen since this room was for bigger kids and to our surprise the opposite happened. Little did we know that was only the beginning! A month or two later that teacher left due to being overworked and unable to enough days off since the center is low on staff. As an employee myself I understand things like this happen everywhere so we tried to be understanding as they looked for a replacement. This is where the nightmare began. For WEEKS my daughter did not receive a lunch or diaper change. The only reason I noticed is because when we arrived home she would run to the fridge crying for food and her pull up was so soiled it was disintegrating. I brought this issue to Tina - the director's attention on multiple occasions and each time I received a deep apology promising it would never happen again....it happened more times than we can count. Why were we paying $350 a week? Why were we sending a new pack of diapers with her every week? I am now completely confused as to why basic things a childcare provider should be doing are not being done; so I utilize the only feature that I can trust and the main reason we picked this location- the live cameras. There were soooo many things I saw that I don't have the space to write about unfortunately, but I am doing my due diligence to warn any parent who may be reading reviews on Yelp to help choose and those that actually care about your kids to please STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! I became the "most hated mom" at this place because I was constantly checking the app making sure my daughter was being taken care of and no matter who the teacher was they consistently showed me the basic needs we asked for were too much to ask for, literally! Anytime I talked to a teacher or the director it was always, "oh I'm so sorry that happened, I will make sure it doesn't happen again". They kept saying they would do better, but all their actions said the opposite. Here I am, as a working parent trying to make it work because in today's economy you need multiple streams of income to stay afloat. I trusted this daycare to take care of my daughter and instead her progress went backwards, she was always constipated and probably wondered everyday why we left her there for hours. As a parent that wants the best for my children, I feel like I failed her by not withdrawing her from this place earlier. Ever since she left she has almost mastered potty training, can spell her name and the tantrums are minimal. I truly believe this place was making her uncomfortable and she was not treated fairly. Which is very unfortunate because most of the caretakers were moms themselves! I want to note that Lamia was light in this dark place, she always greeted me warmly and was so nice to my daughter and we never worked directly with her. Delaney, you never addressed me as the mother of the child you were "taking care of" only wiped her nose when I asked you to and that was asking too much because bothered you to do it. You never changed her diaper and always acted like anytime I asked how her day was it was such a task to remember. Not sure why you're working with children if you don't plan to respect the parent enough to let them know when something bad happens to them instead of acting like it's not a big deal. Marqueana I am most disappointed in you. I came there everyday for a week straight on my lunch break to make sure my daughter at least got a lunch and no milk because she can't have dairy (everyone seemed to forget this everyday for MONTHS contributing to her constipation). You let me now you understood because your daughter has sickle cell and how important it is for certain guidelines to be followed and continued to throw my daughter's belonging on the ground upon arrival, not changing her diaper, not even making sure she has a blanket to sleep with...then had the nerve to act like I was bothering you when I asked for an update. I'm heartbroken writing this and have been for quite sometime. Please disregard all the fake 5 star reviews that were written 8/9 years ago, those profiles look like bots and should be taken down so the stars can reflect the true value of this place.

If you're in the area and looking for childcare, I would be passionately urging you to check this…read moreplace out. - Locally owned - in fact, the owner Lydia is physically present and has her own child (or children, I'm not sure) in the facility. - When we were searching, it was important that the facility accommodate the dietary preference we have for our daughter - not medical dietary needs, dietary preferences. Other childcare facilities said I had to have a doctor's note for them to accommodate (um, no). When asked AAC, here's their response, which I think will help you understand what they're all about: Oh our owner is very passionate about different eating preferences, in fact, she is meeting with the chef and they are revamping the menu. They like to make different meals look the same so the kids don't feel odd eating something different (e.g. Vegetarian vs. Meat). At that moment I fell in love. Another one of the most memorable perks was the fact that they have their own "cafeteria/gym" area which is where the kitchen is, but they also hold Daddy Daughter dance type of events, and they also hold activities during the day for your kiddo to attend (like soccer or piano) which helps alleviate as many evening activities if so desired! Lastly and most importantly, their curriculum strategy and execution for Reggio is on point. I visited some places that execute it at bare minimum just to claim it, not this place. They are thoughtful in their strategy and passionate in their execution.

The staff are extremely friendly and all of the teachers have been outstanding. We've become so attached to each of the teachers that we have worried if the next teacher will be just as good as the previous. Much to our satisfaction AAC hires very qualified and genuinely nice teachers. We can tell that they truly love our children. We really like the extra lengths AAC goes to make the experience feel like a family. They have a dad/daughter dance as well as a mom/son movie night each year. Price is competitive with other schools in the area.

That's ok too, though. Teachers get tired and want to just sit. Here were our problems: While touring it was almost lunch time. We walked by sandwiches sitting on a paper plate with plastic wrap loosely placed over. Right above it was paint jugs - the kind that the paint has dripped all over. Still not horrible. Here's what was horrible: I asked about food preferences for my daughter and how we go about accommodating those. They said they don't accommodate those without a doctor slip. Insert confused face here. I clarified with the director and sure enough, she insists on a doctors note for a parent to choose what their child eats. I can say we toured many childcare options in a stretch of 10-15 miles and not one other facility had this response. In fact, All Around Child in Overland Park had this response when I asked: Oh our owner is very passionate about food options. Her and the chef sit and plan the menu every quarter and they design the food to all look the same even if one is vegetarian for example, so the kids don't feel odd about eating differently. And they're the same price! Shop around. Find the best option.

We attended for about a 6 weeks and found the center to be a very sterile/antiseptic environment…read more No sense of creativity, exploration, etc. They have a lot of fancy lesson plans but way too much structure for preschoolers. The kids are expected to sit on a vinyl circle on the floor quietly at look at books at 8am during drop off, no getting out toys/centers while their friends eat their microwaved breakfast. This expectation of course, does not work. Food is all casserole based and brought in from another site. Playground is nice but I once asked why there were no balls and they told me they get thrown over the fence. Ummm, they're kids, go get the balls. The security is good but reduces the sense of group/community and contact kids have with one another. I'm sure it affects employee morale too. We were unimpressed with our teacher who seemed just there to collect a paycheck and really couldn't tell me much about my sons day, development, peer interaction, etc. She was neither warm, friendly or fun. The director spends his afternoons on runs, as in running for exercise. The phone does not always get answered, when I call to check on my kid, I expect the phone to be answered. Every.Single.Time. The final straw for us was watching our kid (along with many others) sadly stand at the window every day and wave bye to their parents - heartbreaking. This never happened at our other center - literally never. I have a coworker who had to pull her son due to an unaddressed bullying issue. Despite this center being geographically ideal, it just was not worth it and we marched ourselves right back to Top Flight. We will never consider leaving again!

He loves picking things in the garden best! :). She does a wonderful job of balancing education, hands on learning, physical and emotional development, while still allowing rime to just be a kid and ponder the amazing world around you! One of my favorite things about her that she feeds them so healthy!! He actually LOVES broccoli and veggies, thanks to Ms. Amber!!! This is priceless to me, as his health and well being are soo important to me! Not a lot of sugar here! She serves predominantly organic foods , which I especially love!!!! They always do special things for holidays. She uses a curriculum and does preschool as well to ensure your child is reading ready for school! He loves how much fun it is. We encountered issues and when we addressed them with the director, we were given excuse after excuse and things continued to deteriorate. Then, a new child in our child's class started biting other children including our daughter, and sometimes it happened every day. The director's way of handling the situation was to 'continue to train the staff and monitor the child more closely.' Needless to say, the behavior continued and then they started removing the child who was being bitten (not the child who was actually biting other children) and taking them to a younger classroom so they had to miss out on the activities happening in their class. We finally had to remove our daughter from this center when it became clear that nothing was going to be done to protect the children being victimized by another child who had displayed a clear pattern of behavior that needed to be handled in a more deliberate fashion but went largely ignored. Another child who was being victimized was also removed from the center about the same time as our daughter by her parents because they were met with the same response from the director. Our daughter was also constantly sick, which may be a given when a bunch of children are together all day. However, it resulted in her having to have surgery and she was STILL sick all the time afterwards. Now that she is no longer attending this center, she no longer struggles with being sick constantly. And, of course, when we addressed this concern with the director, we were met with excuses. The main root of the problem at this center is that the director is incapable, or simply unwilling, of actually solving problems, and instead resorts to blaming the staff and making excuses to placate the parents. The teaching staff did everything they could to help us with this situation but their hands were tied since the director wouldn't do anything about it. The turnover rate at this center is ridiculously high, and is reportedly due to the director making it a hostile workplace that teachers don't want to work in. There are also reports of infestations of mice and cockroaches in the buildings.
