It was such a great experience that the next year we moved her into five days. The next year pre-K, kindergarten and then added child number two and eventually child number three. We have got to experience many different styles of teaching, grades, and also how it's different between girls and boys but one clear message is the same: that you are loved and that God loves you. The Education is excellent. It's also really fun to see organized sports, arts and extra curricular activities beginning within the school at the early ages too! We have loved it, and if you quickly do the math for three children, you can easily see that it is beyond worth it to us!!!

They take temperatures and insure you as well as everyone else wears masks - I've heard them remind people to put masks over mouth and nose. They also had been remodeling and gotten new equipment in late 2020. It's a friendly environment and has nice equipment - a variety of aerobic machines, track, basketball courts, indoor pool, new weight and pulley machines in December 2020, weights including barbells, kettlebells plus dumbbells from 5-120 lbs.

You hear "No" from the management staff and "I don't know" from all the rest - if you can break into their conversation among themselves. Keep a close eye on any valuables. There are cameras, but no one is ever looking at them. Many areas are unsupervised. Note to management: every person there needs customer service training and all of your employees need to learn what is offered at your facility or simply remove them from the front desk. You don't need five of them at the front desk anyway.

Every year the student body gets worse and appears to be less prepared for college than the previous bunch. If you can stomach an urban body setting with drooling faces then by all means attend. Don't expect much for what you get because this place is about profit at the expense of student's expectations. A theory of false hopes and rah rah rah attitude is encouraged by student service leaders onto their minimum-wage student staff, who are only appreciated if they drink their Kool-aid, and continue to treat students as if they were in grade school with trophies for poor work.

They are pros at what they do, detail oriented, and make sure you're having fun in the process. When I called to…read moreinquire about teachers, I communicated that our requirements are stringent: my son is 6 yrs old, and while he likes piano, he doesn't looove piano, so the lessons have to be fun and engaging to encourage his progress. He's had 1.5 years piano instruction, and he doesn't respond well to some of the "too basic" piano book courses we had temporarily explored with a couple past teachers, so it's a challenge to level him up with material and technique that is age appropriate and fun enough but not too basic, nor too complex. And we had limited time availabilty as our schedules are maxed... It's such a blessing that the receptionist recommended Ms. Emily Shelp! Ms. Emily is well qualified; she possesses a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University and has been playing since she was 7 yrs old. Her bio is coming soon to the Shining Light Music teacher page. Best of all, she strikes the right notes - I couldn't resist the pun! - in working on my son's technique and making it fun. She motivates him with weekly fun point-competitions (to earn country stickers in his passport, medals, trophy, etc.) which has resulted in him reminding me that he has to memorize a song for the next lesson..cuz he wants the points! (whoo hoo, he's no longer resistant to practicing!!!!) I feel that she is the right piano teacher for his current level and needs; she employs a cheerful and focused Kindergarten/First Grade encouraging teaching style to keep all the lessons fun and on track, she's able to motivate and consistently award with positive reinforcement, able to redirect him when he gets silly (after all he's been in school all day, then straight to his lesson!) and I appreciate how she is able to teach finer technique in a way that he understands. She would be great for both beginner and advanced students.

But if I were you I'd pay more to go somewhere else. They are very unprofessional here. My child's teacher is dating the father of another kid in the class. I see him in the classroom not picking up his kids, just flirting with her and making plans together. My kid asked why the teacher wouldn't come to our house at night "because she goes to that other kids house all the time!" I also had to explain what METH is because he told me the teacher has a kid (he is also in the class) but not a husband because the dad "loved meth more than he loved her". So yeah. Oh, and the building is pretty worn down and my son hates the food (and he's never complained about his school or daycare lunches before).

I love that it is an actual immersion class instead of the teacher translating words. My daughter understands Spanish but wasn't speaking it prior to the class, except for words here and there. The teacher actually got her to speak sentences in class. I was very impressed. My only critique is that I wish there were more times available that would fit our schedule and that summer camp would go all day instead of half day.
