Goddard is a wonderful preschool for your littles, from when they are tiny tots until they are ready for kindergarten. The admin staff are warm, kind and welcoming. Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Lana and Ms. Delmy know all the children's names and take the time to really interact with the kids as well as the parents. The teachers treat the children with such love and care, and they also give attention and communicate well with parents. Daily reports are shared along with photos so parents can stay in the know about their child's day to day. Parent teacher conferences are useful as teachers share the progression of work when it comes to academics. There are also tons of wonderful activities brought to Goddard like basketball camp, reptile day, water/foam day (for summer time) plus visits from professions that teach about music and the importance of brushing your teeth. I love the fact that everything is onsite so your children never need to leave the school (compared to public school/elementary school). The facility is clean and bright, and the seasonal decor on classroom doors are fun to look at (designed by teachers that sometimes include the children's faces). Kids come home with art projects, drawings and some academic work (letters and numbers for their appropriate ages). AM and PM snacks are now provided (lunch must be brought and labeled with names and dates). That was nice because we had to bring in our own snacks during Covid and for a long while after Covid. Goddard is a great preschool and I highly recommend it. As a note, they do have a mandatory rest period from 12:30pm - 3pm and most kids nap. They turn down the classroom lights, play calm music and have the kids lie down on cots with blankets. If you don't want your kids napping, this can be problematic. I've had conversations with the teachers and Ms. Parina (the owner) about securing more staff to allow non-napping kids to have other things to do (ie quiet activities like coloring) but no solution was ever reached during my 3 years there. I've heard pricing for babies is pretty high and babies are required to come in 5 days a week vs part time. I saw prices rise a few times during my time there as well. That said, you get what you pay for, and I believe Goddard has set the bar pretty high. I'm very pleased with the education my kids have received (heartfelt thank you to Ms. Vivian and Ms. Chetana) and I wish public school was as excellent when it came to the level of service and care we've seen at Goddard. read more

do not recommend this school based on our family's experience. Unfortunately, we experienced ongoing stress due to the school's administration and management. Communication was often difficult, and we did not feel supported when concerns about our son were raised. One of the biggest issues was the constant turnover of teachers in my son's classroom. During our time at the school, his class had multiple teachers, making it difficult for the children to build stable relationships and adjust to a consistent learning environment. Several staff members expressed concerns about the work environment, which was disappointing to us. The administration/ specially director did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or expertise in child development and child psychology that I expected from a leadership team responsible for young children ( I even heard this from teachers). Rather than working with families to understand children's behaviors and support their growth, I often felt that the focus was on discipline instead of teaching and guiding children through age-appropriate challenges. Young children need patience, consistency, and positive guidance to learn appropriate behaviors. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the management took that approach, and I believe my kid would have benefited from more understanding and support. It was my impression that families who gave gifts or maintained a closer relationship with the administration received more favorable treatment. As a result, I felt our kids did not receive the same level of support!!!!! Last but not least Please consider that very serious Goddard director talks about "fairness " however she treat parents differently when they give her expensive gifts? I've heard this from several parents who warned us, but unfortunately we didn't listen. read more

We love this school! Our son loved coming to class everyday and looked forward to all the learning and activities. The school was very accommodating to our son's serious allergy restrictions. The owner of this location only cares about making money. High teacher turnover which is hard for the kids. My son had 3 teachers within a 6mo period. She does not take care of her teachers and the owner is extremely rude to parent that express concern. The "robotics" they learn come from a little remote controlled dog. It's not advanced! Amazing Program! We started my daughter there around age 4. We moved from a Montessori program to Goddard and it was just the most positive experience. The staff are friendly and attentive. They are kind. The teachers have been wonderful. Giving my daughter a great education but lots of kindness as well. STEM program is wonderful and interactive learning. We are SO grateful for having sent our two boys through the Goddard School and honestly really sad that it has come to an end. I have to preface with: I actually have no kids enrolled here. My review knocking one star off is solely based on pricing. This place looks fantastic. We were given a tour by friendly personnel who seemed to really enjoy working here. No one seemed frazzled. Also, the kids seemed at ease and to me, that's the proof in the pudding. We were specifically looking for newborn enrollment, and what impressed me was the 1:3 ratio of teachers to babies (which is less than the required ratio of 1:4). Bravo ! Everything was great and I was ready to enroll our newborn in the next year until we had a conversation about prices. It was going to be $2,400 per month (these are estimated prices for next year). I was prepared for it to be pricey but this fee just seemed to be extra pricey for Lake Forest. They do have all the bells and whistles though. For all the parents who can afford it, this is definitely a great option to look at. For the rest of us, we will need to keep looking. read more

My daughter went there for a year. We loved how clean the school was, safety, the playground which was newly reconstructed, we got pictures every day and it was easy to communicate with the teachers through the day. We love this school; I felt more like a little family than a school. We brought our 4 year old here after reviewing multiple schools. The curriculum is STEAM based which stimulated my little dudes imagination and mind. Mrs. Amy, Mrs. Chaetna (sic) and Mrs. Shalah in The world famous Peppy Pandas are wonderful. My son comes home having learned different things that are then put into hands on learning opportunities. Front office is stellar. I can't say enough about the ladies there. They are welcoming, loving and definitely provide guidance. I remember the first interaction we had with them, and it really did close it for us that Goddard is where we wanted to put our child. It's bittersweet writing this review, as we have transferred our child out of Goddard recently after being there for 2.5 years, starting when our son was 6 months old. For the most part, we really enjoyed our time there and were sad to leave. Here are our experiences: Pros: - The facility. Well-lit and, organized, and updated. This was what impressed us the most after touring other places. The classrooms are actual rooms, instead of some other places that separate "rooms" with a line of bookshelves. The rooms themselves are a great size and have all sorts of enrichment material for the kids. The infant room has a dark area with cribs to accommodate different nap routines (and it also has a fridge for milk and other foods). The older kids' rooms don't have fridges, so be sure to get ice packs. - The events. They have a bunch of events that the children (and sometimes parents) participate in, which is great! For example, the Robot Fashion Show during Earth Week, and book fairs, STEAM project displays...the list goes on! - The playground. Huge outdoor playground that has many areas for kids to run around and play. - The communication. I love the app that they used to communicate with us. They sent us daily activity reports were we could see what our son was doing and learning, which was great so we can extend the learning at home. We also got to see other stats like nap times, potty information, and food consumption. It's also wonderful that we could send messages to our son's teachers directly any time during the day. Neutral: - The teachers and staff. The teachers and staff were great! Very caring and good with kids. They had creative lesson plans and even accommodated a request of mine to have our son complete a birthday project for his mom. They're very responsive using the messaging app, and they sent at least one photo per day of our son to keep up posted on what's going on. However, there is a very high turnover rate. All of the teachers in the first couple of rooms are different from when we started. Same with most of the staff. And in the most recent room transition, two of the three teachers left around the same time, and it caused our son a bit of anxiety. There weren't many people we recognized there towards the end of our time at Goddard, which made us feel less connected to the community. Also, when we left, the owner didn't say anything - no goodbye or anything. Again making us feel not connected to the community. The Director did, which was appreciated, and we're sad to leave her (she's been nothing but great with us and our son since we met her a couple of years ago). Con: - Cost. This is the primary reason we decided to leave. When we started, we were told that our tuition would decrease over time because as our son progressed through the different classes, the children:teacher ratio would get progressively higher. What they should have said was that tuition would increase slowly over time relative to new enrollees. We ended up paying more per month than when our son first started at the school. Also, the cost wasn't the same for us as it was for other families in the same room, which I thought was weird. But now that our second child is ready to enroll in a program, to enroll them both at Goddard, we would have paid over $1100 a month more than where we ended up moving both of them. We just couldn't justify the cost anymore. read more

Goddard has been a family to us and our two daughters for the last 7 years. Our oldest began when she was 2 and our youngest began at the age of 1. It's bittersweet as our youngest has just officially transitioned to TK this school year forcing us to say goodbye to Goddard. This was an extremely challenging goodbye as Goddard has been the village of support that has helped to raise our girls. From the leadership to the individual teachers in the classroom, there couldn't be a better team of caring individuals. They all have made such an impact on the day to day growth that our daughters have achieved, both educationally and emotionally. Ms. Carol and Ms. Vivian are incredible at what they do and their passion and love for all of the children is undeniable. They went above and beyond everyday to ensure that our youngest daughter's individual needs were nurtured. Our little one has since begun TK at our public elementary school and her transition has been seamless! Her TK teacher is quite impressed and we greatly attribute her being so prepared and thriving to Goddard and all of their incredible teachers and staff! read more

We are thrilled with the care our kids received at the Goddard school. The director, administrators, front desk staff, and teachers are people who truly care about your kids! Our oldest flourished in kindergarten thanks to the structure and curriculum at Goddard, and our youngest is about to do the same. We have loved the activities they plan for the kids, the constant/consistent communication on our kids, the teachers openness to helping students when issues arise, and the obvious care of all staff. Note: This school is expensive, and does not have school provided lunch/snack which makes it even more difficult to budget, but we do love that our kids have been so well cared for and are truly learning more than any other center could provide for. read more

My husband and I enrolled our 5-month old son at Goddard earlier this month. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience so far. His teachers are genuinely so excited when we arrives each morning and can't wait to tell me about all of the exciting things he did during the day. Our son is excited each morning to start his day at Goddard and is always so happy when I arrive each afternoon to pick him up after work. We started my daughter at this wonderful preschool two years ago. She's graduating soon and I'm honestly sad to be leaving this school. I'm writing this review to give other families the benefit of our opinion after two years of experience. I'm a fairly picky and particular parent/customer, because my husband and I both work full-time and we really needed a school that would make our lives easier as well as providing excellent education. This has to be one of the best-run preschools in the country. I never had a single complaint and have been beyond impressed with the love and dedication constantly shown by the teachers and the administration. I regularly compared notes with my friends who had their kids enrolled at other nearby preschools and frequently found myself saying, "I'm so glad our school doesn't do that!" The way this school is managed impressed me in every way, from the calendar/holiday schedule (no random or excessively long closures at inconvenient times that would leave us without childcare when we had to work), to their handling of the pandemic (practical policies that made sense and showed adequate precautions without going too overboard), to the teachers' handling of our child's very brief slapping phase (a productive, non-judgmental, and helpful in-person conference with practical suggestions for working together to address the issue both at school and at home), to family engagement (occasional opportunities to work on school projects or attend events, but no excessive "homework" for busy parents to have to deal with over nights/weekends), everything was handled exactly how I would want it to be, with grace, care, and genuine kindness. If this school offered continued education through elementary, I absolutely would have kept my daughter in it with no question. I would recommend this school a hundred times over. The staff at Goddard has enriched my family's lives in ways I never would have imaged. My son started here when he was 7 months old. We got on the waiting list before he was born! He's now 2. He has had the most wonderful experience attending Goddard. Every teacher that we've encountered has been full of love and professionalism. We were very nervous to leave our child with people we didn't know but became confident touring and knowing the staff. They take extra care on transitioning into the school and between classrooms as the children progress. My wife and I feel like we're walking into our family's house when we go to drop off and pick up. The staff's friendly attention to detail, knowing and appreciating each child uniquely, to their lesson plans and activities, it's amazing to me. My wife and I feel so in sync with the teachers because of the daily email recaps, seeing what the children learned, weekly themes, songs, etc. We youtube the song and continue it at home. Both our boys attended The Goddard School of Lake Forest when they were each 2 to 3.5 years old and they loved it! The school faculty and administration is very loving and caring with all of the children. They follow a structured daily plan that is shared at the end of the day with your child's individual picture doing an activity that day, the amount of food they ate and how long they napped. The detailed information on activities allowed us to talk with our boys about what they did and their friends they were having fun with. The school teachers also are available by message during the day and the school sometimes shares pictures during the day as well. We saw our toddlers grow so much here! 1 star for the person who called mme to provide me information that I had requested. She was really rude...I was asking her basic questions about their infant program and she advised me it was 5 days a week full time hours till they turn two and then she proceeded to tell me EVERYWHERE around here is like that - major lie. I had luckily been in contact with a few other great schools that are very local and not like that. My mom has been in the industry for over 30 years and she also advised me it's not mandatory for full time at my son's age. So the lie was fine whatever you want my business..the part where she told me that I should be looking for a babysitter and not a school was the icing on top of the cake! When I was clear with my intentions for my 18 month old to be socialized... thanks for the lovely call oh and also thank you for not sending me any of the additional info I had asked for but sending me emails about enrolling my son instead. read more

The Goddard school in Lake Forest is a caring and nurturing environment. My son has attended for almost 2 years and was in the baby room and the younger 1 yr old room. I love that the admin staff really try to get to know you and your family by name. The teaching staff were very warm and caring. Even in the young classrooms, they taught my son sign language and it was great. He was able to communicate his needs at home. My son loves his teachers and attending Goddard. read more

We were so happy with Goddard, until we weren't...We continued to voice concerns to the director, and owner from August to November of 2017 NOTHING WAS DONE. In 6 months we had countless incidents of our daughter being sick, getting HFM and being bitten while trying to drink her bottle. She almost needed tubes for ear infections because of the LAZY way they gave her bottles on a boppy pillow in the corner away from other staff. (I saw this personally on multiple drops ins). I was told my daughter takes too long to take a bottle and she needed to learn to hold it herself. Lots of wasted time and long conversations with the owner and director only to hear excuses and seeing No changes were made to help our non-mobile infant and finally we pulled her in December. 7 months later I am writing this review because I am IMPRESSED my daughter has had ZERO bites or problems/incidents at her new school right down the street from Goddard. She HASNT GOTTEN SICK THERE EITHER.... probably because the new school is great about keeping babies off of each other and identifying/ sending home sick children. My husband and I trusted Goddard. We wanted to love Goddard and frankly, they didn't take the responsibility of caring for our daughter seriously. The teachers in the infant room (only room we experienced) have their hands tied and my daughter couldn't even crawl by 11 months because she wasn't stimulated. Mgmt was over involved and not allowing those wonderful teachers to do their job. read more

I really don't like to give negative reviews, but this school only care about money !!!!! Be careful with their "non refundable" register fee!! We have twin and decided to put on their waiting-list one year in advance. It's $250/child so total $500 , for us We thought it's deposit and can be refundable if we decided to cancel before our waiting list is up. That is standard policy for all the pre-schools we visited . Three months after, we got family emergency that we need to move to Asia for few years and cannot attend the school. When we asked for refund, we found out it's register fee not deposit and cannot be refund for any reason. We nicely ask the staff to help as it's still have about 10 month left on our waiting list. And the reason we cannot go is due to family emergency not because we choose different school. There is always exception during special circumstances. Unfortunately it took them two month to reply- No refund. They were super nice when we first take tour and unresponsive when we need their help. $500 is a lot money for us. Looks like making money is their priory. Shame on them on how they operate their business . read more

It's a sad feeling that we have to look for another school for our 23 Month old daughter as we moved to another city. This review is been long due & this school totally deserves 5 Stars. We has been part of Goddard family since DAY 1. She started in Infant class & made her way up Crawly Caterpillars & Cuddly Cubs. Ms Ashley, Ms Rafat, Ms Kathy, Ms Cindy, Laurie and Maurice were her favorites and have always made sure that we leave school as a satisfied parent who are not worried about their child when she is at school. A lot of emphasis is on overall developed of child not just educational. Overall program is so well structured, daily updates regarding your child's day and well organized daily routines makes is worth the time your child spends in school. Child's development is not just part of program but its top priority. Specific to the location of Lake Forest - Ms Parina is always open to feedback & suggestions. She makes you feel part of school family and makes sure that any concerns from Parents doesn't left unaddressed. Ms Julie & Ashley at admin office are always present to give you quick phone updates if you had to leave your child in hurry in morning and later you want to check and see how she is doing. This morning at drop-off, I had nothing but tears! Today is my son's last day at Goddard as he is moving onto Kindergarten. The tears were both happy and sad ...happy for my son to move onto the next stage in his childhood but sad because Goddard is HOME to our family! Goddard is a place I drop off my little one each morning without a worry in the world. Mrs. Julie greets him at the door as he signs himself in. Mrs. Jen is often behind the glass waving, HI! As we walk down the hall to the 3rd classroom he has been in since our journey started two years ago, everyone says, HELLO! Mrs. Caroline, the apple of my son's eyes meets us at his classroom door and gives him a morning hug. The staff is so welcoming each and every morning and they all know you by name. They care for and love my son as I could never have imagined. Each day I receive photos of his adventures at school. Mrs. Parina (owner) takes the time to stop and talk with our family every time we see her, she genuinely cares for each family enrolled and knows your "story". I can not say enough amazing things about Goddard, the staff, the curriculum, and the daily organization that we have seen over the last two years. If you are looking for someone to care for your child and a place that will be a true extension of the love you provide them at home, then look no further, Goddard is it. The Goddard School in Lake Forest has been a wonderful place for my son to learn and grow. He continues to make great progress and it's great to see. The teachers and staff are warm, friendly, and dedicated to the well being of our little ones. The programmes are structured, NOT rigid. We're very happy with our experience here at Goddard. It's a 25 minute commute for my family, but well worth it. Due to COVID-19 my son has been home from school since March. The school has done an excellent job of handling the situation. Goddard has been providing distance learning from home, that includes video chatting with teachers and classmates on Zoom. It's been incredibly helpful during this time. The school is going above and beyond for the families. Having Goddard as a support system has made things a lot less stressful for my husband and I. I look forward to the years my son has left at Goddard before kindergarten, and we'll be sad to leave when that time comes. read more

I cannot tell you how happy we are with Goddard Lake Forest. We have experienced many schools, from tutor Time, country village and Fairmont to name a few. This is the BEST school! I have never seen such a clean environment for the kids, my daughter leaves every morning happy and eager to go to school. We attended Country village for almost a year and she would cry everyday. I truly believe it becasue of the amazing teachers and staff of this school. Parina the owner is the sweetest lady, she always greets the kids with a smile. And when the kids are having a bad day, she will make sure to go up to the child and ask them what is wrong and try to comfort them. This is going above and beyond, I have never seen such love. The school offers hot lunches, and personal area for each child to put their belongings. Clothes, sheets and bedding will never be cross contaminated by other kids. They really pay attention to cleanliness and sanitation. There is circle time in the morning with teacher Mrs. Maryam, she reads and sings to them. She even teaches them how to introduce chores/ daily living into the home, it is so cute. The classroom is calm and kids always seem very happy, I never show up and kids are screaming and running around. This is a true school rather than a drop your kid-off daycare. We are so happy that Goddard- Lake Forest opened by us, we live in Baker Ranch right around the corner. We will continue to bring our 3 year old to Goddard for the next few years until she attends Kindergarten at Foothill Ranch Elementary . It was very hard for us to find the perfect school for our son. Our son has severe allergies/ anaphylaxis to food and it is terrifying to leave him in the care of others. Both of us work and don't have other options. Meeting with Parina the owner of this facility was refreshing to say the least. Before the school was even built she sat down with us and addressed ALL of our needs. She retuned every one of my phone calls and always made me feel that Goddard was the place for my son. If she wasn't sure about something she would ask questions, or take time to think of the right answer and right way to address concerns. She is patient and refreshing. Every day is a challenge for us but this school has made each day better and better. The staff asks so many questions and assures us that they have things under control. They allow me to cry, laugh, yell, and be worried if I need to. They talk everything through and don't leave questions unanswered. Parina is an honest relatable person/Mom and she truly cares about the safety of my child and everyone else's. She is involved in the classrooms and spends time with the kids. The staff in the front of the school are all welcoming, they communicate impeccably, and they stop what they are doing to answer question. The teachers in the class rooms (we've been in 2) are amazing. My son moved up becasue of his age. The are well educated, and think outside the box. They try to put themselves in my shoes and think differently about the ways they can include our son. Everything is a challange from playdough to hand soap. They think of it all! Its amazing and feels so good to have people care about my child they way I do. They would never leave my son out from a birthday celebration or lesson regardless of his allergies. They make every accommodation possible to make sure he is involved. They would rather be inclusive instead of making things more difficult for our son. This has not been our experience in the past and it means the world to us. We cannot say enough amazing things about this environment and the people. This facility is clean, organized, inclusive, and inviting. Its right around the cornor from our home in Baker Ranch and easy to get to. The families we have met and interact with are also all very welcoming and it feels like such a warm community. We love this school!! read more

The Goddard is the first experience of my little 2.5 yrs. son ,being separated from me and home ! We moved recently to this country and for me and he the Goddard is heaven! Excellent teachers (we love his teachers miss Gabi and miss Yuquan) , so helpful and full of positive energy! He always returns so happy frome the school! The owner ,Parina ,she is amazing lady ! What can I say about The Goddard School...I love them! The staff is so kind and really cares about each individual child. They are quick to resolve any issues that arise and always have a listening ear if a parent has any concern. Choosing the right school for your child is daunting. Teaching style, curriculum, staff qualifications, cleanliness, and that all-important indescribable "feel" (that's unique to each school) are all things us parents juggle when seeking to find that one place that's going to set our kids up for the future. In this pursuit, the Goddard School in Foothill has been wonderful for us. We've had our son there for ~2years and it's a joy to see his enthusiasm each day. The curriculum is well thought out and it's wonderful to see him (daily) run to his old teachers for hugs and kisses. My Daughter Attended Goddard School for around a year where she was enrolled in Groovy Giraffe class and later graduated to Dazzly Dolphins. classroom. She enjoyed her school time every single day. The Goddard School in Lake Forest is an exceptional, loving environment for your child to learn and grow! We have had the most incredible experience being a part of the Goddard family since enrolling my daughter at 6 months (she is now almost 2). The facilities are clean and beautiful, and we felt especially safe with the staff/structure of the infant room. Parents receive detailed daily reports, photos, and updates through an app that is convenient and easy to use. Security protocols are well managed. The teachers and lead staff (Ms. Parina, Ms. Julie, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Jenn) are so warm and friendly - my daughter loves everyone in the front office just as much as the teachers in her class! Even in the infant room, the learning plan and daily activities are really impressive - lots of learning through play, STEAM, and activities appropriate for each age. My daughter quickly learned so many skills that we starting noticing at home, including signs as an infant (which really helped us communicate at home, too)! On top of everything, this year Goddard has done an incredible job maintaining a safe, healthy environment during the Covid epidemic. They very quickly implemented new protocols adhering to CDC guidelines, were able to keep the school consistently open and provided lots of enrollment options to parents who's financial situations may have changed. We are so lucky to have had Goddard to care for our daughter this year especially! read more

We have two kids at school here and we couldn't be happier. Every single teacher is so caring and considerate. The level of cleanliness makes me comfortable to have my kids here. My infant has been at school here for a few months and hasn't gotten sick a single time. The amount of attention and care given to each student and to the curriculum is unparalleled at any other day care we checked out. This is definitely the place anywhere around the area. This is the first and only school that my daughter has attended. She started here when she was 14 months. I am more than satisfied with our decision selecting Goddard. Ms. Parina has been more than amazing. Just knowing that she runs this school places me at ease each day when I drop my daughter off. The school itself has been very pivotal in the development of our child. It seems like she is learning a new thing every day. It's helped with her structure, stabilized a routine for her, and given her the opportunity to communicate and interact with other children. I look forward to having her continue there.
