My daughter attended the Westfields school from 3 months until she was almost five. We moved to Texas in December and the hardest part of the relocation, for all of us, was leaving Beantree. My daughter STILL talks about her friends and teachers, wondering what they are doing, wondering if they miss her. The new pre-school we enrolled her in was great, but there's was always that little something missing that we got during our Beantree years. My daughter is a smart, kind, strong, brave, empathetic, engaging, and compassionate leader. I can't help but thank Beantree for being part of molding her. Of course we take credit as her parents, but she also spent 4 days a week (8-9 hours per day) at school. They reinforced the values we taught her at home . . and we continued the momentum of what she learned at school, it was a partnership. My husband and I are essential workers. They stayed open during the early days of COVID, and she was one of the few that continued with school. I remember watching Ms. Blanca diligently cleaning each chair with a tub of soapy water. It gave me the sense that they cared as much about her health as I did. Just like any relationship, there were a few bumps along the way, but it was nothing major and it was always something we could talk through and agree upon a resolution. I admit that the tuition is quite pricey, but I never had to worry about whether my child was learning or safe. The whole staff was amazing, but I definitely want to shout out the Day 1s that were with her for the entire journey: Ms. Paula, Ms. Rnee, Ms. Ranika, Ms. Sam, Ms. Megan, Ms. Michelle, Ms. 'Nessa, Ms. Tee Tee, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Jean Ms. Amanda, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Katherine, Ms. Anne, Ms. Miranda, Ms. Jacky, Ms. Skylar, Ms. Giatra, Mr. Scott, Ms. Olesya!! Thank you for all you do! Y'all are the real Super Heroes!

I knew even before having to change centers; honestly there is no other childcare center that can compare. I miss BeanTree! Here's some of the main things I love about beantree that I can't find anywhere else: * The education and educators. Even if a school has great curriculum & lesson plans, it's all about the delivery. At BeanTree even in a large class room, smaller groups of children are assigned to one teacher so they receive more customized, one on one care & education. The ratios are also smaller than required by licensing. Every child receives individual attention throughout the day. Teachers form bonds with each child. * Staffing. There are always plenty of friendly, helpful ladies at the front desk to monitor people coming & going and to help. At other daycares, more often than not, the front desk is empty throughout the day. That makes me uncomfortable for more than one reason, even with all the top security measures. Also, at BeanTree there are plenty of teacher floaters who cover for lead teachers breaks. The teachers at BeanTree are provided with several breaks (I found it to be way more than average) that I believe are so necessary. Everyone need time to decompress and prepare lesson plans etc. * Full time cleaning staff. There are ladies dedicated to cleaning the center FT daily. The center is always very clean. * Separate eating areas in each classrooms. The children leave the eating area after meals & the janitorial staff come in to clean so the teachers can concentrate on the children. * Specials included in tuition: music, Spanish & art are provided by a teacher specializing in that subject and in their own separate classroom. When visiting the special rooms, the children are kept in the smaller, assigned groups. Also, visits to the indoor gym, pagoda (kind of another version of indoor gym with a sandbox) & outdoor water park during the summer are all part of your child's daily routine. * sunscreen is provided by the center and applied to every child every time before they go outside. * Diapers/pull-ups, wipes, diaper ointment is provided by the center and diapers are name brand (huggies/pampers) same that I use at home * Regular analysis of your child's milestones/abilities. With each classroom my child went though, I was provided with a report of how she was growing/learning & her milestones etc. they made the report into keepsake posters with photos. Love! Although I now have my child at what I believe to be the best center in the area, I feel her quality of education is way below what she received with BeanTree. Everything is done as a classroom of 20 something 2 year olds. She hardly gets individual attention, none of the children do. The way almost all other centers are ran, it's just not set up for teachers to have the time and ability to spend individual time with each child. She is still in the same age group room (early preschool) but she's is one of the very few children who are fully potty trained where at BeanTree almost all of her friends were also potty trained when she left. I fully credit miss Michelle and miss Morgan at BeanTree - they have a system & it works! I just keep telling myself that her current center is great and if I didn't know any different I would be more impressed with them also haha.

We've experienced every classroom from the baby room through the 5-year old room. The Director and Assistant Director are extremely understanding and compassionate. They really understand the challenges of working parents and they continuously strive to make parents' lives easier. The teachers are such loving people. They care very deeply about the children's growth and happiness. Every morning, at least three teachers hug my children when we arrive! Some of the teachers have been with the center for 10 or even 20 years. The classrooms are clean, vibrant and engaging. I love the constant updates I receive through the app. When my youngest was a baby, I could see when and how much she ate and slept. And now, I can see all of the books they're reading, the fun activities and trips to the playground. My children come home each day with stories of the art projects they completed, the lessons they learned, and the friends they are making. There are field trips, holiday parities, art and crafts, magicians, snow cone trucks, story time, etc. etc. 5 stars all around!!

The director's (Lisa) genuine concern for my child's well-being and warmth in how she took care of us, before we even officially signed up for the school, is what got us to join. The teachers, learning experiences my child had, flexibility in schedule, and price got us to stay. For the teachers, some have been at the centers going on double digits now, most of the teachers that took care of my son, who grew out of the school, are now taking care of my daughter. My wife has summers off so she has some more time to be with the kids. We wanted to switch to just two days a week and the answer was "Sure not a problem"! I can see by interacting with my kids that they are most certainly learning while they are there, the school is following a curriculum that works. Last but not least, price. It was no more expensive when I switched into Imagination Learning Center (ILC) from the other daycare even though they offered way more. I don't make a boat load of money and could afford 2 kids to go there. The last two things I which I feel are important to say are, 1) They use Brightwheel to send pictures of your child and communications. Its really great that I can have multiple updates a day on how my child is doing. 2) It's a non-profit with a parent run board of directors. The parents actually do have a voice at ILC which to me is amazing and unlike any other center I looked into while I was searching. TL:DR - ILC is a great place with caring teachers and directors who have been there for years, flexible scheduling, and a reasonable price. I would recommend ILC for anyone who needs childcare.

We were looking for a Christian Montessori program and this is, in our opinion _the best_ option in northern Virginia. They not only provide a wonderful Montessori style education, they provide solid Biblical teaching for these young minds. We have been consistently impressed by their care, compassion, professionalism and exceptional teaching. Some examples of the positives, though the list could go on and on: - the fabulous caring and attentive teachers. They care about your children like their own and they pray for your children and your family. Ms. Jacqueline, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Yoon, Ms. Brielle, Ms. Sophia to name a few. - excellent leadership and administration, Ms. Grace is extremely organized, communicative and detail-oriented. This school tries hard to stay open even when Fairfax/Loudoun counties are closed for their countless holidays which is great for working parents. They provide optional extracurricular activities during the school day for pre-K such as soccer, French class and piano lessons. - the teaching! We were so impressed when our daughter started talking about what red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets do in the human body. wow! - Biblical teaching; the kids memorize Bible verses, are taught Bible stories and worship songs. Our 3 year old memorized the Lord's Prayer! - we have made such wonderful friends with the other students and families attending Monarch - all the extra touches - they put on a wonderful Christmas show every year, make special crafts for the holidays that I know we will treasure forever and host things like Mother's Day breakfast. Our daughter has to graduate otherwise I wish we could keep her here forever! This school is such a blessing to us and to the community! We thank God for Ms. Grace and Monarch.

I can't believe it's been 9 years already with our 3 kids. In 2012, when my daughters were 2 & 3 years old, we've interviewed several pre-schools in the area and this school is the best! Their Christian Montessori education is excellent and provided our kids a firm foundation of learning, growth and character. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, Monarch maintained the highest level of precaution, safety measures, and made us feel safe during that time with our youngest. I will miss the songs, Christmas programs, Thanksgiving luncheons, the arts/crafts from my kids, parent-teacher conferences, and our kids' stories of what they experienced during school. I was always surprised by what they were able to accomplish at such a young age. My fondest memories will be our kids' birthday parties at the school with the puppet shows, oversized balloons, cupcakes, storytelling, and the walk around the globe song. Monarch is an extension of our family and we will miss them very much! My youngest kid just graduated from Kindergarten last June 5th at Monarch. My daughters who are now 11 & 12 years old are doing very well in school - thanks to the Monarch's education and influence.

I begged to be let into public school like my neighborhood friends the last three years of elementary school and even as a kid I was blown away by how much better the local public school was. You would think a private school would have more resources than a public school but this is not the case in Fairfax County where our education system is ballin. Many many many moons later, I had a friend who enrolled her kid in a private religious school and ended up moving him to public school a year later for the exact same reason I stated. The one thing that was awesome / appalling about St. Tim's was their utter disrespect for healthy school lunches in the 90's. They literally would cater our school lunches from McDonalds, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Oh memories.

I found him when I went to pick him up. They claimed they would be investigating the incident, but then never followed up. They never formally documented this via incident report for my signature. Had I not shown up when I did, I don't know if they would have informed me of this incident. 2) December 2022: My son was exposed to sexually inappropriate behavior from an older student enrolled at KinderCare. The staff apologized and said that they would "setup a program that talks about keeping hands to yourself". Again, this was never formally documented via incident report for my signature. Had my son not told me this happened, I would not have known. 3) December 2022: My daughter has a life-threatening food allergy to sesame, and I provided the center with epinephrine, Benedryl, and specific instructions provided by her allergist. On her last day, I asked to have these items back, to which they responded that there "must have been a loss of communication" because the items expired in October (it's now December) and thrown out. I was never notified, which means that my daughter has been attending school for 2+ months without access to life-saving medication. Not only is this absolutely negligent, THIS IS ILLEGAL (look up Elijah's Law in Virginia). To say that I am furious is an understatement, and I hope that NO ONE'S child ever suffers because their system for keeping medication properly stored is severely flawed. If you have children enrolled here that need access to medication, go ahead and ask them to show you where it's stored and see if it's accessible. It's likely that they threw it away and never told you, and your child is in danger. My top priority is always and WILL always be the safety of my children. The above incidents are not a result of "accidents" that happen due to watching toddlers. These are preventable safety issues that could be avoided if the staff here properly cared for these children. If your children aren't enrolled here and you're exploring options, look somewhere else.
