Looking for a gym, a pool, and other healthy amenities?…read more I've had a membership at 3 local gyms, which I won't name, but you know them. The cheap one doesn't have a pool or a shower. The other one has a shower, but there's too much traffic. The big one has a pool and is huge, but costs more than my monthly mortgage. This YMCA is all you need. It has great family rates, a small but decent gym, a pool, and many other amenities that we havent even used yet. This is the best bang for your buck. My son and I go to the gym between 5-6am and there's always plenty of machines and weights available. The front desk staff was friendly in setting us up and they always greet us with a warm welcome when we come in. We've only had the membership for a few weeks, so if something goes south, I'll update this rating, but for now... it's top notch!

Since our daughter has been there, we are very satisfied with House of Children. The staff is amazing with all the children, if it's group effort or individual one on one time. Any questions we have they answer right away, if not follow up with in the next day. Our daughter talks about her day and is excited about it. Anytime we asked her before House of Children, she would say she doesn't remember or she doesn't 't know. Now, she talks about what she ate or what she did outside or the art projects she made and the books she read. This shows she is learning and excited about being there. Because we are comfortable and know our daughter will have a great education for kindergarten, we have decided to keep her there for Kindergarten instead of attending the local school. There is also a dance/ballet room (with mirrors), and a side room with hardwood floors (no mirrors though). The sound system wasn't that great in the side room (a small boombox). Immediately I felt at ease when talking with the director Kathy. She spent a lot of time talking with me and answering my questions (first timer with a lot). My son has febrile seizures so I also needed to put him someplace where I felt comfortable but also where they felt comfortable having a child there that this could possibly occur on their watch (lucky not to date). This was the place that made me feel most comfortable with his seizure disorder! My son is now in his second year of preschool and my youngest is already registered for next year to start in the 3T's program. It makes me so happy to see how my son looks forward to going to school each day. He has learned SO MUCH! He constantly comes home singing or telling me something that he's learned that day and it amazes me! But I love St Barnabas for the culture. The school environment is SO LOVING! It's like dropping him off with family. I know each time I leave he is in great hands. The staff have worked together for years and you can tell they all love what they do!
