We've been at Goddard for a little over a year now and love it more and more by the day! It was so hard for me to drop my first born off with strangers at such a young age, but from the beginning Goddard has been nothing but kind and loving towards him. As a teacher myself, I appreciate the emphasis they put on education, as he has learned more than I could have ever imagined. The entire staff is constantly going above and beyond each and every week to make learning a BLAST. It is super apparent that creating a fun learning environment is a high priority. A few other things to note is their top notch communication efforts. We are always in the know about every thing! As well as the diversity, which can be hard to find in this area. I love that my son gets to celebrate our traditions while also learning about cultures different than his. Lastly, my son is HIGH ENERGY and can be a lot at times. The entire staff at Goddard has never once made us feel like he is a burden, in fact quite the opposite. They have always welcomed his energy with open arms and big smiles, which is huge for me! I toured and signed up for a 4 day spot at the Goddard School (Windward Pkwy). I was required to pay a deposit fee plus an entire month's tuition up front to secure my spot ($1700 total). 24 hours later I received a message from the school I was on a waitlist for that a 5 day spot was now available, which is what we really needed. I explained to Goddard management that the other school was 5 min from my house, less expensive, and most importantly had a 5 day spot available. I asked if I could at least get some of my money back given the circumstances. They refused to give me back ANY of the $1700 deposit despite the fact that they only had it for less than 48 business hours. My child never even visited the school. They claimed that I could have taken a spot from someone else. I paid them Thursday afternoon and informed them Monday morning about my change of plans. If someone visited Friday who wanted that spot, am I really supposed to believe they couldn't have contacted them immediately on Monday to let them know about an opening? I reached out again and was told they never filled the spot. So if you couldn't fill that spot anyway, why couldn't I get even half of my money back? It's not like we took someone else's spot (according to them anyway). The school we ended up joining didn't require any deposit to secure my spot, and the owner purposely enrolls less students than the GA requirement to provide a better and more nurturing environment. My son has about 13 kids in his class vs. the 20+ children in the Goddard class. It's clear that the owner is all about money and posting on social media. I am so happy we found a better place for my child. read more

My son has been at Goddard Windward for several years and is currently in PreK. We seriously considered doing "Georgia PreK" to save the tuition and when I tell you staying at Goddard was the best decision we've ever made, I mean it. It's worth every penny and then some. Mrs. Tamnia has a true heart of gold. She loves these kids like they're her own. My son is absolutely thriving in her class. I could not possibly rate this school any higher. Where do I even begin? Goddard for my 3 year old daughter has been absolutely fantastic. Her speech, behaviors, and even writing (yes. writing at 3.) have all gotten so much better. I cannot recommend Goddard enough! We came from a previous daycare that did not have anywhere near the standard that Goddard has, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But when I tell you my expectations have exceeded by 1000%! My daughter even walks right into class no tears or anything! I cannot say enough about the awesome teachers and management at this school! I never imagined what an amazing experience having a child in daycare could be. I go to work everyday knowing how well cared for my daughter is. She loves going to school everyday as evidenced by the big huge smile she has as she leans in towards her teachers at drop off. They know her little personality so well and will always pick up immediately on her new skills and share them with me. I love the lesson plans, sensory bins, art, music, Spanish class, indoor activities, outdoor activities and events. All of which I get to see in her daily report with pictures! Worked here and sent my son here, wouldn't recommend to anyone ever. They don't care about anything but getting your money. They gaslight the teachers. Pay attention to how long they have their teachers there and how often there is teacher turnover! Look at the cleanliness and how the teachers look. Do they look happy? One thing I noticed was how the teachers looked miserable to be there. When I would drop my son off, his teacher always looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there and wouldn't even come to the door to let me in. 9/14/20 update: Still giving Goddard Windward a 5/5 rating hands down! We recently enrolled our newest family addition to the school. Goddard Windward has exceeded my expectations even more over the past 6 months during COVID-19. They've taken so many safety precautions to keep the students and faculty safe. They adhere to their sick policy, take daily temperature checks, restrict parents and visitors from entering the school and require masks for the teachers/staff. When some parents weren't comfortable bringing their kids during the pandemic peak, they offered daily zoom sessions to keep the children engaged and continue learning. They also provided parents with homework to complete at home. Best school ever! I highly recommend them! When searching for a childcare provider (especially as a first time parent) you are nervous to leave your child with anyone. For those of us who have to return to work, the thought of dropping your child off for 8+ hours and leaving them with strangers is scary as hell! Stop your search now if you are looking for the premier childcare facility because Goddard School at Windward is where you want your children to be! Our daughter Emma who is now 2.5 has been at Goddard since she was 12 weeks old. My husband and I both work full time and have entrusted this provider to care for Emma. Our expectations have not only been met, but exceeded to the highest degree possible. When you walk in the front door, you feel like you are at home surrounded by family. All of the teachers have made a lasting impression on Emma's growth and development. They come up with their own lesson plans based on the GA development goals and interest of the students in the class. The teachers document all activities in an app which is sent out at the end of each day and includes pictures and videos. These teachers are approachable, patient, loving and create and foster a positive and safe environment. They are proactive and communicate openly. Emma is exposed to music and Spanish class each week. She sings full songs, counts to 15 and knows all of her colors in English and Spanish! She can tell me all her shapes, knows the latest yoga poses and uses sign language. The faculty is extremely engaged, positive, available and is always looking for ways to improve. They are creative and publish a diverse newsletter which showcases monthly calendar of events. Emma participates in dress up days, events around holidays such as an Easter Egg Hunt, movie days, community involvement such as a canned food drive, Fairy Tale Ball... the list goes on and on. It's been 1.5 years for my kid in Goddard and it's been a lovely enriching experience for him at this school! He started in the infant class and is now in the toddler class and it's amazing to see him develop all-round! It's especially hard on him and the teachers in every class, after any long vacations we take, but all his teachers and the staff took/take such good care of him and make him feel so comfortable. So much so, at weekends and once home after pickups he'll tell us he wants to go back to school! Would definitely recommend Goddard Windward! read more

Ever since COVID, the school has gone down hill and there is a high turnover in teachers. You're paying a premium for mediocre child care. We left because of consistent issues with our daughters classroom and her teachers. The nail in the coffin for us was learning that one of the teachers cut our daughters hair without our consent. Apparently the teacher was only given a warning, they were not terminated. We couldn't believe it. We know the job market is tough right now, but it's almost as if they are hiring anyone off the street that has any sort of babysitting experience. read more

Our son has been at Goddard on Windward for a year and a half. He has progressed so much in his time there and made fantastic friends we see outside of school. I feel comfortable with him being there full time and know they are doing so much educationally rather than him just being with a babysitter all day. He's learning Spanish and his English vocabulary is excellent for his age. Mrs. Virginia is a potty training whiz too! She helped us a ton. Excited for DJ's next steps with Goddard. Coming from another Goddard school in NJ and moving to GA we were hoping to have the same experience. Little to our surprise we were overjoyed and overly impressed with the Goddard school on winward! If you want your child to learn above "standards" have one on one attention all the while having the best time of their lives than this is the place for you. My daughter just loves her school and is thriving. The activities of spanish, gym class, music class.. and more is beyond! The caring teachers at the school wanting your child to succeed. Our daughters (3.5 yrs old) and (5.5 yrs old) have only been at Goddard school for one month coming from another massive chain school that was very troubling. Ms. Jenna, Ms. Tara and Ms. Kristin made the entire transition painless and helped our daughters transition seamlessly. Within the first week we participated in the parade of cultures and it was very impressive to see what the students and teachers put together. We really like the cleanliness and the structure of the program. The aftercare with Mr. D is amazing my (5.5 yr old) daughter cries when she has to leave her friends and all the fun. Our family is very lucky to have found this school and be welcomed in like family. This is a top notch school with an amazing team running this school. We have been hugely disappointed with our experience with Goddard School on Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA. A very unprofessional and money hungry outfit. We had enrolled our son in Jan 2017 to begin attending the school on 1st March 2017. The administrator had asked me to pay a months tuition and the deposit in advance to reserve a spot for my son which is contrary to what all other Goddard schools or any other daycare in the area do. But I still went ahead and paid. When my wife later toured the facility, she saw a number of distressing issues and a lot of incongruency between what the school says and what it actually does. One kid was chewing on the knob of a closet under the sink. There were 2 teachers right there and not one of them did anything to stop it. On informing the lady giving the walkthrough, she retorted back with the statement that the facility didn't believe in snatching things from the kids and that they didn't also believe in crying of the baby so they let them be. The sanitizing bucket and other equipment were stored right underneath the changing station and the area around the chaging station was filthy. One of the teachers was scolding and shouting at the kids and making bad stern faces at them while doing so. On pointing out the teachers inappropriate behavior, they said the teacher should have done it differently and that they all were not perfect and that everyone makes mistakes. But from what we observed this was a daily thing with that teacher and no one seems to mind that kind of behavior. There was this one teacher who was singing (barely) to the kids. She was singing the song "Wheels on the bus go round and round" and she only sang the first line and the rest was being played on an electronic device. From what we understand, Goddard's policy is to provide child development using physical, mental activities in the class without overt usage of electronic devices. But the usage of the electronic device in this case was again a good example of in-congruency between what was being told to us and what I actually saw. The room where my son would have been if he had attended the school smelt horrible as well. Some kids were being lifted roughly and moved around with just one hand. Cleanliness was also a big disappointment during my wife's walkthrough with kids having runny noses, untidy faces and clothes all around. Even with all these issues we decided to continue with the school since we had already paid the tuition and deposit. The day our son was to start at Goddard, I was told by my employer that I would be moving to California the same week. Since our son did not start at Goddard, I asked Goddard to refund my money. When my wife called up the school, the lady at the front desk refused to refund any money and very specifically said, things happen in life and good luck getting your money back. When these saferty issues were communicated to the adminstrator, the administrator apologised and mentioned that the staff member doing the walkthrough should have done it differently and should have addressed the safety issues at the time my wife had brought them to her attention during the walkthrough. Soon after the staff member who had done the walkthrough was no longer employed with the facility. On pursuing the refund further with the administrator and the owner via an email, the owner, Mrs.Bindu, instead of responding via email, called my wife up from a private number. She spoke quite rudely and condescedingly. She said that maybe the observations during my wife's walkthrough never happened since she and the administrator were not present at the facility at the time my wife was doing the walkthrough. She kept repeating that she wanted to work with my wife on the refund and all the observations she had from the walkthrough. While at the same time she repeatedly kept denying the observations. She wanted a letter from my employer as proof of my relocation to refund the money which was provided to her. But she plainly refused to refund any amount. During the conversation with my wife, Mrs.Bindu said that we were trying to extort money from her. Using her kids who attend private school as an example she said that she pays their tuition in advance irrespective of whether they attend school or not. So if she can pay their fees in advance, why should we be treated any differently. I dont see how requesting for a refund of our unused tuition looked like extortion to her. She also said that my wife was wasting her time talking to her when she was the one who had chosen to call instead of communicating via email to ensure there was no paper trail of things she said. She said she could give the email of the corporate division of Goddards as well and she didnt care if we emailed them. Incredibly, couple of days back, a few months after all the aforesaid communication, we received a receipt from this facility for July's tuition for our son who is NOT enrolled at the facility. read more

After moving to Alpharetta just over a year ago with an 8 week old child, I was frantic to find a school that met all my requirements since I spent months choosing a school in our old city. I knew after touring Goddard on Winward and meeting with Jenna that the child care and curriculum was what I was looking for. The facilities and staff are top notch. Now that we have been at the school for over a year, I could not have made a better choice. When we are with other friends and kids of similar age, he is much more advanced in communication and motor skills. I had the amazing opportunity of working as an Assistant Summer Camp Teacher this past summer and absolutely loved working here! I helped out mainly with the school-age Sting Rays who were such a joy to be around. The school has such a loving atmosphere that you feel the moment you walk in the door. Mrs. Jenna (the owner) and her front office staff are some of the most passionate and kind people I have ever met, working hard each and every day to make the school an even better place for children and teachers alike. One of the best things about Goddard in my opinion is the training that teachers recieve before entering the classroom. The extensive training that I recieved prior to entering the classrooms made me feel so much more comfortable and prepared to handle any situation. As a teacher-prep college student, the experience and knowledge that I gained from working here is something I am beyond thankful for. The best educational decision I have made in my son's short life, thus far. He is thriving there! All the teachers and even some of the parents know his name. They communicate very well, and I just love the "tadpoles" or daily reports which I emailed to me when I pick my son up every day. I can't say enough about this amazing group of people. The only down-side is it is on the pricier side. But I can absolutely see where the value goes. Goddard Windward feels like family to us. The environment is warm and nurturing. The teachers and directors genuinely care about my child's well being and happiness. Communication is great. Safety was important to us. They are very strong in the curriculum department , my 2.5 year old shows me yoga poses, sign language, sings in Spanish, tells me about gym class and shapes and colors. They are also teaching her hygiene, manners, and to be a good friend. They are always doing cute little events like Halloween trunk or treat, spring fling, fairytale ball, etc to engage the kids. They offer healthy food and have little dress up days that always get her excited about learning. The directors are all passionate about what they do and have found their true calling. We can tell the teachers put thought in their curriculum and don't just "babysit". We like that the owner and directors all started as teachers and like that they recognize their teachers in the monthly newsletter. We also like that the owner, directors and many of the teachers kids are enrolled here too. Most importantly my child is happy when I pick her up. We have been greatly disappointed in the management of this Goddard School ever since Jena Ellis became owner of the school. If went from Jena being the director and interactive to her being the owner and not caring about what was taking place in the school. I have noticed a huge shift in lack of communication with the parents. Every week their is a different teacher in my child's class and when I asked management the reasons are we are making adjustments. Before Jena was the owner their was stability in the classroom and my child liked coming here but now their are so many teacher and so many changes for the worst I mite add that we can't keep up. Every parent that I have discussed these issues with in my decision to take out my child has agreed on how unorganized the school has gotten and how fake and unprofessional the management staff is being. Just because you talk with a high pitched voice and talk as if you ( Jena ) are trying to persuade me that everything is going to be ok doesn't mean I believe it when I see what's going on right before my eyes. I have tired to stay at the school because this is all we were use to but it's not worth all the money in the world to stay somewhere where there is no stability, no communication and lies being told. read more

The Goddard School on Windward is amazing! As a first time Mom you experience that inner struggle of whether daycare is the best option. I can say with 100% certainty that sending my daughter to Goddard, since she was 4 months old, has been an amazing and rewarding experience for the both of us. The staff and teachers are like a second family. I know that they truly care about the well-being and development of my child. The social and educational skills my child has acquired over the past 2+ years are awesome! I love that they use the Tadpole tool to send us pictures, videos, and lesson plans from the day so we are as involved in our daughters daily learning and can ask her questions at home like "what did you during music time." My daughter will stay with Goddard until the day she transitions to public school. read more
