Absolutely horrible experience. They do not provide open communication. There was an issue with a job they had completed that was noticed same day project was "finished". The owner me advised they would order a new part and come to correct ASAP. This was in July! It is now November & They have not called me once about the correction. When I call they give me the run around and the owner will not call me back. Of course I had paid in full and used a local company hoping I was helping a small business. What a mistake! read more

We have had an ongoing issue trying to get windows replaced. sunshield window installed facing wrong way, living window removed and replaced three times and still not right. Wrong size twice and number three has hair and fingerprints BETWEEN the panes. Dining room window lost seal in 3 months but we are so disappointed we will spend the extra money to use someone else. Very friendly and willing to work with me in accommodating my disability. Which at times is a lot to ask for but the people there are very kind and considerate and have gone way out of their way to help me with what I need. All the while with a good sense of humor and empathetic understanding which means a lot. I am an elderly woman and needed something for the sun glare that was coming in my kitchen windows. For years I would need to use window coverings to block the bright sunlight, and at night I was afraid that I could be seen every time I would enter my kitchen. So, one day I decided to call the Glassman, and the owner himself came to my home, after checking out the windows he suggested solar screens. which I love!! I no longer need to use window coverings or have that uneasy feeling of someone watching me. I love having a bright kitchen during the day, and feeling safe when the sun goes down. This has been a miserable experience. They come out, measured the three windows, remove the rotted frames and leave promising replacements in 7-10 days. That was 8 weeks ago. After 14 days or so, I called. They said there wasn't enough to recover to make the windows. (i) they had measured them; and (ii) they didn't call me to indicate there were problems. If I hadn't called, nothing would have happened. So after complaining they sent the owner and the tech and they measured them again. THe owner promised that he would have a quote the next day. 2-3 weeks passed....nothing. I called and was told they were waiting on materials cost quotes for the sashes. Another 10 days and nothing. Finally I called and the owner said he had sent a quote...as it turned out to the wrong email address...more than a week ago. NO follow-up when they didn't hear from me. Then they resent the email...$3500 for three SMALL windows!!!! This included 12 hours of installation for these windows. Un believable. More than $1000 for a window measuring 12 x 24 inches. Stay away from these people at all costs. NO follow-up and lousy communication and massive overcharging...a case for the better business bureau... read more

Glassman replaced the glass that had fogged in a bunch of our windows in 2020. Every window they worked on in 2020 now needs to be replaced. Total disaster. Windows were not put back together correctly, interior wood was exposed to the weather, air gaps were left at the top of windows, pieces of the windows fell off into our backyard after they left, etc. Multiple windows were visibly damaged on the inside in the removal process. They were not careful at all. We have used Glassman prior to 2020 and had excellent results (5 star). They are not the same company. read more

Lack of integrity in Arcy Duran's & his staff's communication & business practices. Arcy increased costs from verbal estimate to written estimate, redirected to what they wanted to do & away from what we requested, & was not reliable or accountable for clear communication, follow-through, & satisfaction. We did not end up using or recommending him or his business. We were looking to get a durable sliding screen door made that would fit into our existing patio door frame & latch properly. On May 28th, we phoned & spoke with Michael who said they could give an estimate over the phone with our rough measurements (verified later as accurate). We provided those in the call, & after Michael said he consulted with Arcy, Michael quoted $85 for the door with fiberglass screening & $110 for the door with pet screen. We said we would go with pet screen & that the latch would be a key focus for the screen to work with our frame. Michael said we could pay $85 for them to come to our residence located outside of Santa Fe or we could take photos & full measurements & send the information via email. We sent the email on June 1st with ownership of the delay & added that one of us would drop by the shop on in the afternoon to take a look at the door materials the shop would use prior to going ahead with an order & build. We dropped by that afternoon & were shown the materials, but no one had opened the email or taken a look for it yet. Owing to constraints, no one could do so then. Michael agreed to get with Arcy to get the email information; & we agreed to talk the next day. No chat happened the next day, & with ownership from us for the day's delay, we phoned the shop on June 3rd to discuss details & get the order in place. Instead, Michael again said that no one got to the email, & Michael agreed to our request to call us after they read the email. The next call was a voice mail late on June 5th from Michael with a request for us to call first thing Monday to schedule one of their workers, who was doing a job at 10:30 am in our area, to come by our residence that day for measurements. Although were not clear what did not work about the stats given or even if they looked at what we emailed, we thought seeing the frame in person could matter in a door that fully worked, & we called first thing the 8th. In the call with Michael Romero, he said they could get to our residence prior to their 10:30 service & scheduled for 9:30A. One of us missed work for an extra 3 hours waiting for the shop worker owing to 2 more phone calls from the shop after 9:30A with revision to 10:20A and then to prior to 1P. The worker showed up at 12:45P. The worker took measurements & confirmed the door they would make would fully work; & Michael left us with a promise to send full estimate via email. By June 12th no estimate arrived. We called the shop on the 12th in the afternoon & specifically asked to speak with Arcy thinking that he as the owner would step up & get things clear & on track since two weeks were now passed. Arcy said that Michael was out sick & had been calling a number that we did not provide for contact. Without giving them another phone number to contact, they apparently took the phone number off the caller ID from scheduling on the 8th; Mr. Duran said they had been calling & leaving messages at that number. On the promise to send estimate via email, he said he'd do so promptly & he did. The formal estimate both confirmed the measurements we initially provided were correct for the 1st estimate by phone on May 28th & also surprised us as the amount went from $110 for the door with pet screen to $180. A service fee also showed up at 1.5 times the verbal estimate (with that part being optional if we wanted to pick up the screen from the shop instead of them making delivery & installation). We phoned Mr. Duran back to inquire why the change in cost. Mr. Duran said it was for the pet screen with the base price now at $110; he did not recall any call on the 28th; he cannot be accountable for verbal estimates; & he would reluctantly honor the $110. When we mentioned that all the breakdowns in over two weeks & the impact of cost increase & losing 3 hrs of work affected confidence in his shop, he defended that they had done nothing improper. We suggested a commitment to these issues not happening again with a possibility of moving forward, & he hung up. Not recommended. read more

This was a wonderful company to do business with. One of our house windows glass needed replacing. When I called them, they came out in about an hour to take measurements. They said they could be back that afternoon to install it. We had something planned but made an appointment for the next day at 10:00 a.m. They were here at 10:00 am on the dot. It only took them 45 minutes to install the new window glass without any mess left behind. You never think about what to do if the glass on your window needs replacing but it's nice to have companies like this to guide you through it and with personable and helpful emploees to top it all off. read more

I cant say enough about this company! I had an incident Saturday night that led to me needing to replace a window in my friends house. I was recommended Glassman from a coworker and he couldn't have been more right. They came out, quoted me, and then came back and replaced the window all within about 3 hours.
