Eileen is an awesome realtor (and a nice person too!). When we bought our condo in Austin, she pretty much knew what we'd end up getting right up front (and told us as much), but quite happily and patiently went through all the other places that we were interested in looking at, before - as expected - we ended up getting the place she recommended :-) She knows pretty much everything about everything about Austin - the neighborhoods, peoples, amenities, neighborhoods, commutes, lifestyles, etc. etc. etc., and spent endless amounts of time working with us on getting our place. I couldn't possible recommend her more! read more

This past spring, Celeste Quesada and Eileen Gill of the Gill Agency helped us prep and sell our house. We can't imagine how we would have done it without them. Once we made the difficult decision to sell (a new job was taking us far away from Austin), they were patient with us as we slowly organized our schedules and our limited finances together to make some improvements. They methodically walked through the house and the yard, and made a detailed and comprehensive list of suggested repairs and improvements--things that would stand out as positives or negatives to a potential buyer. The tasks appeared appeared daunting and seemed excessive, but they were absolutely right. Eileen made it clear that she would not put the house on the market until it met a certain standard of attractiveness and readiness to sell for its full potential value. Eileen and Celeste coached us along through the six-week process checking in with us via email, phone, and even lending us a power washer. We made nearly all the repairs and improvements possible within our time and budget. Once the house was ready, they took great pictures which highlighted the house's best features, inside and out. The house went on the market on a Friday. In two days, there were over a dozen strong but very different offers. They helped us consider the pros and cons of each one as well as counseling us on whether to wait for more offers or choose among the first group. At the end of it, we felt like we understood everything and made the right choice in choosing a buyer. Afterwards, they kept us fully informed of all of the paperwork and procedures in the closing process. They both met us at closing, at a well-recognized title company which had all of their paperwork readily in order and were very nice folks to boot. Eileen and Celeste and brought some really nice gifts (matching cotton robes!!!) and a bottle of champagne that we thoroughly enjoyed after all of the papers were signed. The Gill Agency really look after their client's best interests, and know the city intimately well. Their backgrounds have prepared them to understand the needs of a variety of current and would-be Austinites and make sure they end up in the right place, whether as a buyer or seller. It has been an unequivocally positive experience working with Eileen Gill and Celeste Quesada at the Gill Agency. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell or buy a house in Austin with enthusiasm. read more

A friend recommended Eileen Gill and she helped us find and purchase a fantastic little downtown gem. We were looking for a fixer-upper that was a little out of the ordinary and she got it immediately. Besides being a seasoned veteran of the Austin market, she also has a genuine passion for houses, historic Austin, and has done several impressive remodels herself. We could not have been in better hands during the search and purchase process. She was super competent and 100% dedicated to not just finding us a house, but finding us the right house. Beyond this, she is down to earth, fun, dead honest, and repeatedly went above and beyond in hooking us up with people to get the project started. After we got the house, she continued to follow up with support and advice throughout the project. We now consider her and her husband good friends. Renovation excitement is contagious. At the end of it all: Great process + great house + great new friends. Triple win! We've since recommended her to friends who were also super happy with their experience. I don't think it gets better than this. read more

Eileen is a dream and made our first home purchase happen with diligence, insight and savvy that is extremely tough to come by. She knows Austin inside and out and not only found us a brilliant house in an up & coming neighborhood (which has already appreciated in value significantly in just over a year), but she was also a ninja negotiator who took advantage of every possible angle to get us the best deal. Eileen also commands a stable of trusted contractors (electricians, plumbers, painters, tree trimmers etc) to handle all the necessary upgrades to be done before we moved in. All of them were nice people who did great work that we are very happy with. Eileen will shoot absolutely straight with you on what it takes to get what you want in this very competitive market, and sometimes that means delivering truths that are hard to hear. But it also means you are working with someone who truly has your very best interests at heart and when it comes to buying a house its foolish to demand anything less. I have recommended Eileen to many, and everyone who has worked with her has raved about the experience. Those few who chose to go with another realtor ended up settling for less, and, frankly, its tough for me to hold back my "I-told-you-so" when I see them now. read more

Let's get this out of the way up front: I was a realtor's nightmare buyer. As a first-timer, I came to the table with unreasonable, conflicting expectations, a schizophrenic approach to commitment, and a willingness to outlast my own best interests. For me to stand a chance at obtaining a home, I needed less a salesperson, and more a therapist with a real estate license. Thank jeebus for Eileen Gill. Eileen brings a homespun realism to a process that can be completely irrational and maddening...for a neurotic personality making a major life decision, her down-to-earth sensibility was indispensable. She's also quintessentially Austin, an archetypal Texan that's been here forever and knows the city inside and out. She gets the history and place because she's part of it, and she provides the sort of guidance and advice that can only come from that sort of experience. Eileen is a great teacher, too. More than once, she tempered my impulsive inclinations by raising considerations that found a blind spot in my enthusiasm; I'm pretty sure she has x-ray vision for shoddy workmanship. And conversely, she made sure to point out the unapparent positives in places where I was distracted by superficial concerns. I feel like I came out a seasoned pro in the end. Speaking of ends, Eileen helped me land a house inside the central corridor -- below market -- during a listings drought. I can't speak highly enough of her both as a pro and a person. Thanks, Eileen! read more

As the great thinker Cher Horowitz once said, "You see how picky I am about my shoes and they only go on my feet." I used this defense many a time as I set about finding a realtor. When my partner and I decided to buy a house, we figured out all our real estate requirements/hopes/dreams in under an hour, but the search for an agent took weeks. Normally I'm the kind of person who does things myself. I will research and plan obsessively until I've figured things out. When it came to buying my first house, though, I wanted more hand-holding from someone who knew their shiz. I needed someone who could be as obsessive as I am, with the benefit of professional experience and perspective. I did not need someone who was stupid, pushy, ditzy or slimy. We started down our Goldilocks trail of realtor interviews. Most of the agents were fine-- except for the new-to-Austin guy who told me all there was between Mopac, 183, 35 and Ben White were condos in gated communities (good God). But I didn't want fine. I wanted someone amazing, smart, cool, funny, experienced, sharp, quick, and savvy, who understood what I wanted and could help me find it. [Harps play, angels sing] Enter Eileen Gill. Right off the bat, it was clear to me that Eileen was who I'd been searching for. She's lived in Austin forever, so she knows every single street in every single neighborhood. She's smart and funny and judgmental in the most important and hilarious ways. She is a great listener, which is a quality I didn't think too much about until I saw how quickly and completely some realtors will totally ignore what you tell them in order to try and get you into a gated community condo (!!). In short, I actually liked--LOVED--spending time with Eileen, and I trusted her judgment 100%. This ain't her first rodeo. She can't be fooled by a seller's agent, and she calls it like she sees it. She won't let you make a choice you'll regret later. She also has extremely good taste, and can spot a mediocre flip from a mile away. Eileen was generous with her time and advice and made it feel like we were her only clients. She took me to estate sales! I'd be remiss if I didn't brag about Eileen's crazy skills, because that's probably what you really want to know. Our very first offer on our very first house was accepted (over a higher cash offer from a developer!), due to her good advice. We closed barely 6 weeks after first walking into her office. She made it such a fun and easy process that I actually wish it would have taken longer. I recommend her to anyone and everyone who wants to buy or sell, and if/when the time comes for us to sell our house & find another, my dream will come true and Eileen will be my agent again. She is the best of the best, y'all. read more

My husband and I have worked with Eileen on multiple transactions. Eileen was such a pleasure to work with, her knowledge of the market and our new neighborhood we bought into were spot on. She was a treasure trove of information from schools, dentist, dry cleaning, hair salon anything. My husband and I joke that anytime we need a recommendation we would say "Ask Eileen." We worked with Eileen to purchase our NW Austin home. Eileen helped us rapidly narrow in on some neighborhoods that would be a good fit for our needs then quickly closed the deal by expertly navigating our multiple-bid buying situation. Based on many recommendations from friends, we chose Eileen @ The Gill Agency to sell our home in NW Austin. We could not have been more pleased. Eileen made the process so easy and guided us step-by-step in the process. Her professionalism and her knowledge about the Austin market and real estate in general are incomparable. I only wish we could have taken her out of state with us as our buyer's agent. Eileen is all around a wonderful agent to work with! read more

Eileen and Mia helped my husband and I ahead of our move to Austin. They both were very nice, listened to what we were looking for, and sent us great house listings. In the end we will be moving to Dallas instead of Austin, but if we ever do end up moving to Austin, we will definitely use the Gill Agency. read more

Eileen is the best! She helped my husband and I purchase a home in our dream neighborhood; something we didn't think was possible. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the Austin area, which was very helpful because we're new to the area. And to make the experience even better, she taught us a great deal about the process and what to look for and expect so that we were able to confidently make this important decision of home-buying. Plus she is a true delight. read more

I recently worked with Nanette @ The Gill Agency, and have nothing but praise to spout from my experience. After a very stressful falling-out with a custom home build, Nanette helped me through a seemingly impossible quest for my new 'unicorn' home, and we closed the deal on an awesome property. Shortly afterward I worked with Nanette again to sell our previous home. Nanette's advice and experience was invaluable. She helped me stick to my guns and always kept our best interest in mind. We ended up with a rock solid closing! Throughout the entire process Nanette was very communicative and at the top of her game during negotiations. Nanette is an amazing realtor, and I highly recommend working with her to buy OR sell a home! read more

I don't recommend renting through The Gill Agency. Our move-out process was a complete nightmare. The official, legally-binding move-out condition form showed very little wear on the home in the year we lived there. However, this document was completely ignored, and our agent breached our contract to address items that were officially passed during move-out. My emails are now being ignored and my only recourse is is a lawyer. read more

Eileen Gill, the broker in this agency is the best buyer's agent I've encountered in 40 years of buying houses. The Austin real estate market is crazy and we went through 2 other agents trying to buy a house. Neither one of them wanted to spend the time finding what we wanted. They just wanted us to buy something fast so they could move on. Eileen took the time to find out what we wanted and showed us a lot of properties to get a good idea of what we wanted. She never lost her desire to work for us. When we found the house we wanted she helped us put together an innovative offer that got us the house in a 5 offer competition on the second day of the listing. She knows Austin well and gives great advice and guidance. read more

We used Eileen Gill to buy our new house and then to sell our old house. Each transaction had its share of challenges, but Eileen was equal to all the tasks. Her negotiating skills are topnotch, and we also benefitted from her referrals for inspections and improvements to our new house. There are realtors in Austin who are embarrassments to their profession and to their clients. You will be lucky and proud to work with Eileen Gill. read more

Eileen was an amazing realtor!!! I really cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with her. She spent so much time taking us to appointments when we first began looking to buy in Austin. With the highly competitive market in Austin, I was impressed that she encouraged us to look at many homes and never pressured us to make an offer. In fact, she helped us make better decisions by not getting into properties that might have been an unnecessary burden due to things like worn down appliances or structural problems. We would not have noticed some of those issues if she hadn't been so forthright with us. When it was time to make an offer, she helped us negotiate to reflect our best interests and was able to get everything that was really important to us. Through the whole process I really came to trust Eileen and value her opinions. I feel so lucky that we had such an amazing guide to the process of buying a home in Austin! read more
