Let me start by saying that the employees there are wonderful! Always willing to go above and beyond and help you with anything you want/need. You see, the employees of this joint are victims too. They've been sold on a dream by the new owners who promised them the world and have come through with nothing. Now, on to the review: Cons: - Rooms have wallpaper that is coming off. - Room 127 has had a broken toilet seat even though it was reported weeks ago. - Burn marks from cigarettes in the bedspreads. - Carpet is dingy and stained. - Soap, Shampoo, and lotion is usually missing. - No face towels or only one towel to dry off with. - Cockroach climbed past my face as I was laying in the bed. - Pool obviously thinks it's St. Patrick's Day, and is closed in the middle of the summer. Pros: - Staff are always great. - Large parking lot for trucks. - Convenient location. It's a shame to see this hotel fall apart. I am in the process of finding other places to stay.

No facial tissue in the plastic box on the lavatory counter. Only about one yard of TP left on the roll. One little bar of soap. No towel rack in the shower room, but there is a small hook on the back of the door about four feet away from he tub. The TV didn't work. Someone from the staff showed us (and wrote down) some arcane mumbo-jumbo with the remote that worked once, but never again. After we learned the password, the WIFI worked weakly now and then. Don't know exactly how the hole in the bathtub was repaired, but the rubber mat glued to the bottom is a nice touch. The air conditioner sounds like a helicopter taking off when the compressor starts. Who knows why the bed is 3' off the floor? I could go on. On the other hand, the office manager, Courtney, was very gracious and made the best of the available resources.

Trash in the parking lot, siding falling off the building, and everything is old and dirty and moldy. This was just the outside. We never saw the inside of a room. They apparently never got our reservation and didn't have a room for us, or at least that's what the creepy guy at the desk said. At the time I thought this was a blessing in disguise. We left and found a habitable room elsewhere. Of course, two days after our trip we get charged for the room we never stayed at because we 'never showed up'!!! Don't touch this place with a ten foot pole and rubber gloves! I feel like the only customers they have are just looking for a quick place for...well, you get the idea.

I might be regretting the decision as I type. I always come armed with disinfectant spray and wipes. Good thing I did. The toilet still had urine on it! . The front desk clerk had the nerve to say it was just cleaned. NOT!!!! There's a nice layer of dust around the bed frame although the sheets do appear fresh (I always tear the bed apart lol) I suspect it's been a minute since the carpets were steam cleaned too so I keep telling myself it's only 1 night. There's a constant drip from the ac unit mostly likely coming from the room above (we are in the first floor) that I know will get on my nerves. Uuuughhhhhh! Do Better Best Western. Everything is there you need, beach chairs, coffee maker, coffee, sheets, towels and tons of games and things to do. It is truely the best of the beach on a beautiful golf course. No hotels or high rises. Pawleys Island is like an old fashioned trip to the beach.
