As it turns out, the Shoshone Market isn't the only gas station in the area, but you'd have to go off the highway and into Hadley (the company town for the nearby gold mine). The gas pumps here are dated back to when I worked for my Dad's gas station in NW Iowa. The displays were very analog and very cool. Plus you need to gas up first and then pay inside. Also, while out here, one doesn't question the per gallon price. They also have a deli counter where you can get fresh made sandwiches, that were really good. Pre-made food is also available too, but we were glad that we went for the custom choice. There's also plenty of drink, chip, and salad choices. The people making our sandwiches were friendly, as were the folks up at the front counter. And yes, the restrooms were clean and a much better choice that rest stop facilities and isolated road side detours.

They do not have Lays potato chips, ruffles, Doritos... nothing listed in the app so we can check any sales or specials. I remembered that this happened last year and sure enough... they have lots of chips and they have sayles but it's just not on the app. It is strange. Family Dollar, right next-door does have an app, and they list Snacks and my wife wanted to go there, but I told her I'm pretty sure Raleys will have some good snacks. It's just they don't put them on the app. I wonder how many people skip stopping at Raleys because they think they don't have chips lol. We also bought some fruit, drinks, and stuff from the deli. If I hadn't taken a chance, we would've stopped at Family Dollar next-door and just got drinks and snacks and Raley's would've lost some business.. We stopped at Raines Market on our way through town to grab some grocery items and while we were there, we had multiple interactions with some of the friendliest people we've ever met! We were discussing in the car as we passed the sign. Let me tell you, it's true! And that's not even including the employees who were also very friendly. We found everything we needed as they are a market and hardware store, which was helpful. I am certain the deli sandwich I purchased had horseradish on it, which I wasn't expecting but kept my lunch spicy at least. They were a bit pricey for us but convenient for sure and they have lots of cool artwork and signs made from repurposed horseshoe around this location which we loved. We will definitely remember the kind and friendly people of Eureka from our stop here.

Our first impression was very, very wrong. If you just want a soda or a six-pack of beer, this place will take care of you. The clerk was friendly and helpful. The hours posted on the door says store opens at 10a.m. yet NO ONE was there. There were several customers that came & went between 10 - 10:30am because the doors were locked, no one came to the door nor was anyone answering the phones. Tried calling several other stores (in Las Vegas) including their Corporate office TO NO AVAIL!! Family Dollar needs to do something about their overall customer service cause it really STINKS! If it wasn't the fact that this Family Dollar is THE ONLY ONE nearby, I would NEVER go to it again!!!
