Our HOA hired The Gatemaster last summer for a pedestrian gate project, switching out our key locks in favor of a code-based lock. We re-hired him this year to help fix our car gate, which was dragging on the concrete and having mechanical issues. JP and his crew came within the day to check out the problem, and promptly came back to fix it, along with some additional adjustments to the pedestrian gate from the previous project. JP is very reliable, easy to work with, and very kind. read more

After countless searches for the perfect company to repair my leaning fence, I finally found the solution with Gate Master. I communicated with JP, who made the process smooth and straightforward. What began as a simple fix for a leaning fence quickly expanded into fixing other parts of my fence , which included a fence panel replacement and a new side gate being installed. Ever I was thoroughly impressed by JP's team--they were not only professional but also delivered an exceptional job. They went above and beyond by ensuring everything was tidied up before leaving. Highly recommend JP and his crew. read more

My home was recently burglarized and they destroyed the lock on my side gate getting in. I called Juan at the Gatemaster and they gave me a very fair price for repairing the gate and relocating closer the front. They did an absolutely top notch job. The new location of the gate had a number of oddities that needed to be sorted out like a leaning wall and uneven terrain and a couple of other things. Juan and his crew solved all these issues and went above and beyond to fix the gate, relocate wall mounts, even doing on the spot welding to ensure the gate was solid and wouldn't be broken again. These guys are now my go-to for all metalwork I have in the house. I've already called them to do some railings for me. Most important. They were professional, communicative, and friendly. No weird vibes and no surprise up-charges which I really appreciated. read more

Had an issue with my sliding gate and Gatemaster did a great job getting everything working again! I used Yelp to do a "project" and they sent my repair request to several companies. Gatemaster was the fastest to respond and at a reasonable price (they charge about $155 for a service call, but that goes to the repair as well). $200 and my gate was fixed, straightened, aligned, and operating better than it has been in years! Thanks guys! read more

Just had our automatic gate's wheels replaced and gate serviced. Juan was super communicative and was able to come out the next day to diagnose the issue of our gate dragging. The "Gatemaster" truly lives up to his name. Juan and his crew performed nothing short of a miracle for our aging full swing gate which had recently fave planted itself into the neighbor's wall during the windstorm we had. Juan and his team were professional, courteous and quick. They finished in less time than originally quoted and their price was more than fair for the job done. We will definitely use them again if we ever have another gate problem and highly recommend them to anyone else with gate problems. Also just for reference we have a liftmaster setup and I believe the motor has an eagle brand plate on it. Thanks again Juan and crew! Tim read more

I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with the work that Juan and his team at The Gatemaster created for me for me and my family's backyard. I reached out to MANY different providers, hoping to have a same-day consultation and installation of a vinyl fence/gate for our backyard, and many people said to me that "nobody is going to do that..." well, Juan and his team were able to pull through for me with both a SAME-DAY consultation AND installation for a white vinyl fence/gate for our backyard. I am extremely pleased with Juan's and The Gatemaster's work - I've been searching FOREVER for a fence or gate that can help secure and contain my two 60 pound dogs safely in our backyard; Juan and his team were able to make my fencing dreams come true! I am very satisfied with the quality of the vinyl fencing - I had two vinyl fences/gates installed in opposite sides of our backyard and they look AMAZING! I will DEFINITELY be coming back to this company for all of my fencing or gate needs. Thank you so much, Juan and The Gatemaster - this company is AWESOME!!! read more

We had just moved into our new home and found that we needed more security and privacy for our home. We had called a few vendors looking for quotes and expected to have to pay an egregious amount of money to have a gate installed. Some of the vendors we spoke to said they could install the gate but they wouldn't be able to install the motor. JP was able to do the whole job and at a reasonable price. The best part about working with JP was his flexibility. We had originally asked for a rolling gate. JP had already made measurements for the rolling gate but we contacted him just in time to have him completely change the design to a swinging gate. He was able to accommodate our request with minimal impacts to the cost. Along with his flexibility, he is incredibly patient. We called him and texted him several times asking about the measurements of the gate and several other things. He always answered us promptly. When we seemed unsure about something, he and his team drove to the house and showed us what our gate would look like before making the final cuts. The work was done quickly , efficiently, and beautifully. Don't think twice about this company. They are professional and they will do a wonderful job! read more

Juan and his team replaced our entire driveway gate system after a hit and run incident left our gate severely bent. The crew worked quickly to haul the old gate and materials away and install a brand new iron gate, chain, safety sensor, and track. His team even excavated part of the gate pathway to ensure it didn't scrape when opening like it did before the accident. We were thrilled with the crew's fast and efficient work and Juan was incredibly communicative and professional throughout the process. He has such a strong work ethic and was a pleasure to work with. Cannot recommend Juan + Gatemaster enough! read more

My wife and I purchased a home and decided to do quite a bit of remodeling before moving in. Part of the remodel was going to be replacing the block wall, electric gate and pedestrian gate at the front of our driveway. We needed the following work to be done: 1. Demo and rebuild block wall 2. Demo old electronic gate & pedestrian gate and install new ones 3. Upgrade electronic gate to work with remotes, phone apps, etc. 4. Install perimeter fencing around our property So, I started calling fence companies and I quickly learned that I was going to most likely need to use three different companies. One to demo and rebuild the block wall, another to build the iron gate & handle the perimeter fencing and yet another to handle the automatic gate opener. Wow, that sounded super frustrating and I did not want to have to contact three different types of companies! But then I called the GateMaster and all my problems disappeared, lol. I spoke with Juan and told him what we were doing. He said no problem, he could demo the wall, build us a custom gate (one for cars and one for pedestrians), handle the building of the new block wall and he could even do all the wiring and set up so that our gate would be fully automated. Great! Juan came out within a day or two and gave us what I would consider to be a very fair estimate. Based on all of his 5-Star reviews here on Yelp, I gave him the go ahead. He IMMEDIATELY got to work, which we really appreciated becuase lots of other companies told us they wouldn't be able to start for anywhere from two to five weeks! Juan and his entire crew were truly a pleasure to work with. Their quality of work was second to none, Juan ALWAYS answered when I called and promptly responded to any text messages or emails I sent to him. They actually finished the job faster than I could have imagined and everything came out even better than my wife and I had hoped for! During our remodel, we've worked with general contractors, plumbers, electricians, masons, roofers, pool companies, etc... I can honestly say that out of ALL the other people we worked with, Juan, aka the GateMaster, was by far the TOP OF THE CLASS! I kept telling him "shit Juan, if all of our contractors worked like you, we'd be happy as can be and our job would be finished already!" I could go on and on about how awesome this company is, but I think you already get the picture. I know that if we, our friends or family ever need ANY type of gate work, we are 100% calling Juan. And likewise, if YOU need any type of gate work to be done, seriously, stop wasting your time looking around, pick up the phone and call Juan. I promise, you won't be disappointed. read more

I was having a mechanical/ electrical issue with the motor on my swing gate. The motor wasn't installed properly by a previous installer (my fault for cutting corners). Juan came out and spent two hours doing a thorough diagnosis to find the root of the problem. He didn't up-sell me on replacing my motor, but rather a more cost effective solution in swapping my old motherboard for a new one. The following day, I was having an issue with the motor and he came back out the same day (a Sunday at that) and addressed the issue. Juan was honest, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He also stands behind his work and gave me a solid warranty. I'll be using him for other projects moving forward. read more

In 2021, thieves stole the catalytic converter from under one of our cars, so we decided to have an electric gate installed to protect our vehicles in our driveway. I was somewhat taken aback by the first estimate I received, from J.P. Perez of The Gatemaster. So I got several bids from other gate contractors. Some were higher, and some lower. But after thoroughly investigating all of the costs of the actual work, guarantees, etc., I returned to The Gatemaster since J.P. Perez's bid was by far the most comprehensively itemized estimate for the total project -- from design, construction, electrical, motor, and installation. When I told JP that I was inclined to give him the job, I asked for some references from his other customers. He seemed surprised, and almost offended, telling me that no one else had ever asked him for references. In response, I told him I wasn't accustomed to spending over $15,000 on a household project without customer references. He soon called to tell me that clients were reluctant to give their addresses to strangers who wanted to come look at their gates. So to put my mind at ease, I went to Yelp and contacted the handful of people who had reviewed his services and asked if I could call for a reference. Fortunately, a couple of them agreed. And when we talked, they assured me that the quality of The Gatemaster's work, workers, and follow-through, were topnotch. So we hired The Gatemaster, and it proved to be an excellent choice. We had consultations on what kind of gate would work best (sliding vs. barn door style), where the motors would sit, and how it would all operate. In order to hook up the motor, we needed to bring power from an electrical box several yards from the driveway. JP said he could contract someone to do that, or we could use our own electrician, which we opted to do. To ensure everyone got on the same page, I asked for another meeting with JP, our electrician present, plus reps from an awning company that was going to build a carport canopy over the driveway. Finally we discussed the design of the gate. We wanted it to match the other gate on an adjoining patio. JP surprised me with several well-rendered drawing variations to choose from. I modified the one we liked the best, and they executed it exactly as designed. The gate was constructed in stages: First the electrical needed to be laid, then posts installed to hold the gate up, as plus a pedestrian gate door. The wrought iron for the face of the gate took the longest to manufacture, but JP kept me in the loop with updates and photos. On the final installation day, it took several men to lift it from the truck and hoist it onto the sliding gate frame. The result is truly beautiful. JP programmed and activated the motor, added a keypad for operation inside the driveway, and provided 2 remotes to control it from our cars. And Voila! A driveway protected by a gorgeous, wrought iron electric gate, made with top-notch workmanship. But, one cold weekend about a week after installation, the gate would not open and we needed to get somewhere. JP was home laid up with a back injury, yet he pulled himself out of bed to re-set the electric eye of the gate that had gone off line, explaining that this sometimes can happen with a new gate, until it settles in. We have received many of admiring comments, especially from our neighbors - who see the gate a lot more than we do. Installing an electric gate is a process that takes time, and it was reassuring to have JP Perez as our contractor. He has a serious demeanor and an almost military formality, addressing me respectfully as M'am. His deliberateness, communication skills, and commitment to high quality workmanship made for a deeply gratifying experience. "The Gatemaster" is a well-earned name. Highly recommended. read more

We moved into our home in 2016 and have always talked about putting up a fence with a rolling gate. As time went by It still remained on our " to-do list," but with time, our list grew more and more, and so did our family. We live in a nice neighborhood, so it wasn't a top priority, but unfortunately, as we know, this world is getting more and more uncertain and scarier each day , so we decided it was time. After meeting with several different companies and getting estimates, we came across THE GATE MASTER! When meeting Juan and explaining to him our needs, he was able to come up with not only a beautiful looking fence design but a reasonable price to fit in our budget. Juan and the gate master crew came in and started to get to work. Within a couple of days, we already saw a lot of progress. More importantly, we started to already feel more safe on our property. Juan has gone above and beyond to make this an easy and wonderful experience. He is reliable , polite, on time, and most importantly, very good at communicating. We highly recommend The Gate Master to anyone in need of any kind of gate or fencing. Juan, thank you so much. Our family truly appreciates you! read more

I needed to replace the automatic gate openers on my rod iron gates. I got various quotes and went with JP because of his knowledge and experience. I messaged JP asking for a service price a year later (Sept 2021) because I heard a small squeak when the gates closed. He came by and serviced them for free 2 days after I contacted him.
