They also do a few mains like a trusty dhaal and saag paneer. You can have these with a side of bread (naan or bhatura or even puri). I especially like the channa and bhatura -you get two bhaturas with channa/choley (chickpeas curry) and it's very filling!! It's my go to place when I need the comfort of Indian street food fast.

It is completely vegetarian, but even meat eaters will not feel the taste is lacking. Chef Lalit has an exquisite touch and care when it comes to his kitchen creations, and his love and passion for food is apparent. In fact the website claims that they make "Dishes that make you smile when you see them and taste them... feels like coming home to India." Recommendations? Try the chefs special "Burani Baigan" - a taste explosion of fried eggplant topped with yoghurt, chutneys/sauces, and sev (fine savoury dry noodles), or the "veg manchurian" - vegetable dumplings in gravy (my partners personal favourite). Need a nice digestive? Try the chaas drink (salty watered down yoghurty drink with spices). A very enjoyable food experience

Our group had a collection of tastes to cater to and they delivered. Vegan, vegetarian and omnivores alike all left completely satiated. We had mixed entree to start with, which was comprised of their chicken tikka from the tandoori, the best samosas the group had ever tried and pakoras with paneer and mixed veg in their cumin spiked batter. Main comprised of naans, rice, a vegan eggplant dish which was the tables favourite, vegan dhal, saag paneer, butter chicken, a South Indian prawn curry and tender goat curry served on the bone. Everything was perfectly spiced and the heat of all dishes, meant that everyone enjoyed their meal and no one struggled through a wall of chilli. We finished our meal with the Gulab Jaman which was just the right size after such a large meal. The prices on the menu are all very reasonable and they BYO too. Be sure to crack open a Kingfisher Beer and have the best Indian Food outside of India.

Delivery is available, which is great. I am presuming (being new to Adelaide myself) that they haven't been there long as they weren't listed in Yelp. Decor is comfortable and tables are far apart enough to make it a pleasant place to chat.

However, as I have suggested, this is an awesome pub, if only because of the Colonial India theme that literally permeates the place. It is more of a restaurant than a pub, though it does have a front bar. One of the great things about this pub though is that there are lots of little rooms which you can book for your dinner party, meaning that you can dine in private. Certainly a place to check out, especially if you are looking for a place to have a dinner party (I've done it and it was great).

Watching a new outdoor area being built, that had a sign out the front saying $7.00 Curries in Mondays* in the RajaBar. How could I NOT give that a go as it's just up the road from me. I am really glad I did. There are plenty of choices from the mildest Butter Chicken up to a 'Fire in a Bowl' Fish Vindaloo (well, they were the options tonight) Although the pricing is bargain basement, the flavours and serving size is anything but. All are served with Rice, Raita and Naan (Garlic or plain). *One stipulation is that a drink must be purchased per meal. Of course there are other options from full A La Carte (with plenty of curries) and even Brazilian Churrasco spit in the Backyard Beer Garden Available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays. 12 noon - 10pm

Ordered two curries, two rice and a cheese naan from here. Prices were reasonable for all and food…read morewas prepared quite fast. Was by no means our local Indian place but we decided to make the drive out to give it a go anyway. Firstly, let's start with the cheese naan. Not amazing. One of the smaller sized naans we've had in Adelaide and not a lot of cheese at all. One half had basically no cheese in it whatsoever! Better off going with the normal naan for the dollar less, since it doesn't really live up to being called a cheese naan. My partner had the butter chicken and said it wasn't bad. There were lots of bits of chicken in it, but it didn't seem to have a lot of flavour in it like other places have. I had the palak paneer (after being told by the man on the phone that it was nice)... But I regret my decision. Didn't have much flavour in it and all I could taste was the spiciness (not flavour spices, just hot spiciness). Very very bland. Could barely smell it when I opened the container. Definitely would not order this again and I honestly can't say I enjoyed it at all. Left most of it in the container. Only plus was that it had lots of pieces of paneer in it. Both meals were quite spicy, but this was our fault as we forgot to request them mild. Not terrible, but we might stick to our local Indian from now on, sorry! Rating of 3 only because my partner said his food was ok, otherwise I'd be rating it lower.

A few Italian people I know say it's a bit overpriced compared to the western suburbs, and I can see that it may be for some items, but I think they are not too bad. The layout of the store is typical Italian grocer, with as many items as they can fit and everything grouped logically, which I like. They have flour sections with descriptions of what the particular flours are best for (e.g. pizza/bread/pasta). They have a great range of cheeses and cold meats, fresh pasta, coffee, Italian wines and spirits, biscuits, cakes, sweets, antipasto and canned and jarred tomatoes, passatta and marinated everything. They also sell wholesale to caterers and event organisers and have delivery and a catalogue that can be requested from their website, where they also have recipes and events notices, such as wine tastings. On one end of the store there is also a bakery/pizza bar with barista coffee, authentic Italian pizzas and panini and freshly baked bread and pastries at a good price. It's worth checking out just for the bread. I bought a great large sourdough for about $5. Bellissimo.
