I'm guessing they probably host a lot of events, which is pretty cool! If you're like me and don't know much about board games, I definitely recommend coming here. I first came here at the advice of my sister, because I wanted to try out board games for the first time. They have a shelf filled with games specifically meant for customers to try out for free. Thanks to these playing a few of these games, I discovered that I like co-op games the most. The thing I love most about this place is that they have a full service cafe. They offer a variety of coffee and tea choices, and they even come up with their own custom drink recipes. Definitely ask the staff for one of their personal recommendations. The best part is that their drinks are super affordable. Seriously, skip Starbucks for sure and come here instead for your daily dose of caffeine. Staff is friendly!

Not to mention all the services the store owner provides. Very knowledgable and their inventory is always on point. If you're looking for a very specific nostalgic game, they will most likely have it. I've gotten countless PS2 games and accessories here and even got a PSP! And unlike the other game stores, they sell modded PS2 memory cards and a hard drive of 200+ PS2 games for the low! Better than every single store, yet it's so humble.

Let me tell you, as a huge Pokémon fan, the GameStop in Sandhills is my go-to spot. Seriously, I'm…read morealways impressed by their stock of Pokémon cards. It seems like they always have what I'm looking for, whether it's the latest booster packs, Elite Trainer boxes, or even those premium collector's boxes. It's such a relief knowing I can usually find what I need there, instead of driving all over town; which I've done numerous times. Beyond Pokémon, I've also noticed they usually have a pretty cool selection of figurines and other gaming merch. While I'm usually focused on the Pokémon stuff, I always have to take a peek at what other goodies they have. You never know what unique treasures you might find! But yeah, for me, it's the consistent and diverse Pokémon inventory that keeps me coming back to the Sandhills GameStop. If you're a collector or just a casual player, it's definitely worth checking out. The staff have always been friendly as well, some being avid collectors themselves that share their opinions on where the card game is going in terms of investing or collecting.

I asked her how am I suppose to know what games are available? She told me I had to ask her and she could tell me.. I cannot make this up. This same lady told me "Elden ring" was NOT a game in their system....why would I ask her? While I was there she also got upset with a customer who called in looking for black ops on the Xbox 360. She raised her voice and was borderline yelling at the customer for not being specific enough. These aren't my only encounters I've had with this older lady but this is where I had to stop and post a review. She's very noticeable, has glasses and not many teeth. Gamestop used to take pride in their employees and their knowledge on games. The only reason this review isn't 2/5 is because they don't let that deranged lady work solo. She's always supervised, as she needs to be.

When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. Friendly staff, located on a main road, and filled with lots of entertainment from games to movies to comics, if you or someone you know wants to get into some adventures, come check Cosmic Rays out!

The two gentlemen at the counter very loudly said "I hate when randos come in and especially kids" and looks directly at him. Only person in the store is my kid. I advise not to go and spend your money in a place where they don't want random people walking in.

He explained to us that he was in a hurry as he had things to do and was closing early. My husband asked if we could still look at what we had and he said yes. You could tell from his demeanor that he was annoyed. When the offer came in, it seemed a bit low from the research we had done. When we questioned, the remark was snarky and short. I am completely aware that some of this business is subjective to opinions but not explaining and making rude comments when asked to explain is unacceptable. It felt like we were being low balled and the having rude customer service on top of this was not a place that I would like to do business with. I would seek other shops for your rare and collectible coins.
