This is a very nice hotel and restaurant, a little out of the way on Stokesley Road in Hemlington…read more It's not far from Coulby Newham, but as I say it is a bit out of the way, along a country road. However, it's worth the trip if you want somewhere to take the children. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is reasonable. To be honest, though, the main attraction for me (well, for the kids) is the Wacky Warehouse. This is a brilliant play area for the children - a massive ball pit and climbing area, that keeps them occupied for ages. There's a seating area for the grown ups so you can have a tea or coffee while you keep an eye on them. It's not really suitable for letting the children play while you have a meal in the restaurant because the Wacky Warehouse section is out of sight, along a corridor. You couldn't leave them unsupervised. However, it's ok if you are happy to just sit with a coffee and a newspaper while the kids tire themselves out. It's also a great place for children's birthday parties. We've had our children's parties here quite a few times because it's just so easy to let them organise everything for you, and they get the stress instead of you! They have the play in the Wacky Warehouse, then go through to the main restaurant for the party meal. Which also means if any parents want to stay they can enjoy a meal themselves while the children are at the party - instead of sitting twiddling their thumbs like they might have to at some places!

This is a ok place to go for a drink, but not much atmosphere and the drinks are not the cheapest…read more The biggest problem I have with this place is the food, me and a friend ordered a Parmo, with the buy one get one free deal, the Parmo was awful, the "chicken" was basically like Bernard Matthews turkey burgers then cheese melted on top, total junk for the price you pay, it isn't really BOGOF because the prices are double of a good parmo of the same size elsewhere. I'd go here for a quick drink, but nothing else. Also tends to have lots of screaming kids.

I used to be a regular at this establishment and still go now but not quite as often as I used to,…read more THE GOOD POINTS Food reasonably priced and tasty. Drinks reasonably priced too and not a bad pint. Reasonable decor. THE BAD POINTS. Can get very busy especially on a weekend and it's quite hard to get served sometimes. Toilets are disgusting the floor is generally covered in urine(the Gents at least). Some of the staff seem to have a bit of attitude, however some of the members of staff are really pleasant. SUMMARY. I still go to this establishment because frankly it's a cheap pint and quite a good pint too!

A big bold pub which stand pretty much on the main crossroads in Marton/Nunthorpe area. It's also…read moreright next to the Tesco Garage. This pub is always full, I've never known it to be empty except maybe some Sunday early afternoons when theres no football match on. Anyway as far as pubs go as its quite central in Marton, its a big gathering point as theres lots of houses nearby. Most days its full of groups of older adults and on nights there are a few younger adults gathering before they head into town. The pub has indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor seating is pretty nice in summer but theres not much of it so you have to grab a table quick. The pub serves nice meals, not sure what time until but they have deals on like 2 for 1 with certain deals. We've also been for Sunday lunch which is really nice. It's a really open pub with some corners you can hide away in if you want (like me who goes to watch the football and doesn't really support it so I just sit in the corner and pretend to know what I'm on about). Also, there's an Itbox! Oo but it's always taken so you have to pounce if you want it and for those of you who've never experienced the wonderful addictiveness of the Itbox, find a pub, whack in your 50p and give it a shot, I can guarantee you'll have spent at least £6 and fallen out with at least one friend by the time you've finished and still want another go ha ha. There are also some fruit machines next door to the Itbox. As far as prices go, it's not too bad, but not exactly cheap either. The pub is a big open plan room with the bar in the middle.
