Dining area

The food was just ok, the service was top tier. It was a small diner feel, I could tell they had their regulars which was heart warming to see. I ordered the shrimp and grits and French toast. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection, the grits had none. The French toast was ok but a tad dry, probably should've been soaked a bit longer. I went the next day and ordered a pancake with a side of eggs. The pancake was the side of my head or bigger. It was right next to my hotel so I would recommend it if you're in the area and it's a short walk.

Neptune Benedict

This was our first time back since the restaurant relocated after the hurricane in 2024. I really liked the old school diner atmosphere. The food was as amazing as we remembered with great variety and huge quantities. I loved the frog Benedict while my wife enjoyed the Neptune Benedict. Both were great. My mother-in-law tackled the largest stack of pancakes I have seen in a long while. Our server was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and frequently at the table to check on us. We will certainly be back for breakfast soon.

Old Fashioned Dinner

The service was excellent. The restaurant is decorated with lots of frog memorabilia. I had the Denver omelette with grits. The grits were the yummy southern way - cream, cheese and butter. The crab cake Benedict is with real crab. My only complaint is the coffee is cold. They do not keep it on a burner. Otherwise I would give this place 5 stars.

Outside dining

cute and charming Café from the outside seating to the inside diner fuel. The customer service really stood out--everyone from the manager to the host and server was incredibly polite, welcoming, and genuinely engaging. They went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable, which easily earns a 5/5 for service. The food was decent and the coffee was good. I'd definitely come back, mainly for the outstanding customer service.

"Chicken tender platter"

Took the staff over 20 minutes to clear a singular table causing the business to default to a false wait. Thus losing potential guests and money. Thankfully yet regrettably my group stayed around. It took the server over 5 minutes to even notice we were sat, she was unprepared on the menu items and was unable to answer simple questions. Although kind, server was less than knowledgeable of the product being sold. Food comes out about 18/20 minutes later and faces all around the table were as if someone's grandmother expired right at the table. Along with mixing the orders up the servers broke coffee mugs right behind us without a single apology.truly and abysmal experience:

Fell in love with Frog Pond's bacon Benedict a few years ago and still crave it sometimes. We stayed at TradeWinds this time and Frog Pond SPB was so close by! Food and coffee is excellent! Their hospitality is also excellent! 1 less star just because you can tell this is a... well loved... bar at night.

The counter service was friendly and helpful. Our food came quickly and nice and hot. We started with some peel and eat shrimp and fish dip. The fish dip was the star. They really do it right with their mayo to fish ratio. Highly recommend. For dinner, I got grouper on a salad and my husband got the cheeseburger and coleslaw. Everything was so good for a little hole in the wall beach eatery. Highly recommend stopping by!

You can walk up in your swimwear and it's 100% appropriate so you don't have to worry about getting dressed (and possibly your entire family) to get some eats. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and my friend got the mahi fish tacos. Both of us got the pina coladas. I will say I wasn't super impressed with the shrimp quesadilla because of the amount of shrimp and that it was made with cheddar cheese. The pina colada was just ok - if they have an option for a floater, I'll be choosing that option next time. The menu itself had other great options so I'll just have to try something else next time to see what these other reviews are raving about. Overall, the items I got weren't spectacular or something you HAVE to have. But if you are on the beach, didn't bring food, and are really hungry, it gets the job done.

The Don CeSar - You get a free drink upon arrival

The Don CeSar is easily one of my favorite hotels in all of Florida. My husband and I travel quite…read morea bit, and this hotel truly delivers when it comes to customer service. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a balcony, and had such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the valet and front desk staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. At the pool bar, Andrea and her coworker (I wish I had gotten his name!) were fantastic. They were efficient and friendly, gave us great recommendations for places to go, and shared so much helpful information about the hotel. That level of service continued throughout our entire stay. We enjoyed the bars, restaurants, gift shops, pool, and of course the beautiful beach. I especially love that hotel guests receive complimentary beach chairs and an umbrella that are set up for you, it makes spending the day at the beach so easy and relaxing. Housekeeping deserves a special mention because they were phenomenal. Of all the hotels we've stayed at, this housekeeping team really stood out. Every day they made sure we had everything we needed, including fresh towels, toiletries, bottled water, and even turndown service. Those little details make such a difference. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history and charm, but it's the people and the service that really make it special. I honestly didn't want to leave. Whoever is managing this property is doing an excellent job, because the attention to detail and level of hospitality are noticeable throughout the entire hotel. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming back.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. I'm not one of those people that gives a bunch of bad reviews. The highlight of this resort is the beach, the pools, and the menu. Service is good overall. So definitely some good.
