Poor leadership when opening this location. It's terrible. The prices are super high and the hospitality super low. Not what I'm looking for in a local grocery store. The hot food looks nasty. I am sure nobody's taking temperatures of that throughout the day so who knows if it's even safe at this point. I guess I'm leaving this review because I'm so disappointed. We ordered a Thanksgiving meal from the Fresh Market and we were pleasantly surprised how good it all was. The stuffing was real good, moist, and a good flavor. The mashed potatoes were fluffy. Turkey was very juicy. We all loved the cranberry sauce and the gravy was good. It was a lot easier than shopping, prepping, and then cooking it all, even though you had to reheat/finish, cooking the turkey, that was nothing. I put all the sides in my own dishes and heated them up in the oven. It was easy and simple. I would recommend that for Christmas coming up and I will probably do it again next Thanksgiving. read more

I came to The Fresh Market today during my lunch break, hoping to get myself a nice meal. Instead, I walked away with a disappointing experience due to unprofessional service and a complete lack of respect. While I was waiting in line at the checkout, ready to step forward and place my lunch on the counter, a man suddenly cut in front of me with some wrapped item. The cashier--a young man--clearly saw me waiting and also witnessed the man cutting the line. Yet he said nothing. He didn't acknowledge the situation, didn't ask me if I was okay letting the man go first, and didn't make any effort to handle it professionally. He simply started ringing up the other customer, ignoring me completely. I was shocked and offended by this lack of basic courtesy. I left my lunch on the shelf by the register and walked out. I ended up going to Publix instead. Maybe their food quality isn't on the same level, but at least they treat customers with the respect they deserve. read more

I love The Fresh Market! As someone who likes more variety regarding organic and healthier ingredients, this place is like a candy store to me. Just seeing the varieties of healthy cereals and other foods makes me want to come back and explore some more. I've only ever tried bakery products, some candies, and some pre-made deli so I can only speak on those but I love the atmosphere and setup as well. Also I just tried the "brownie pillow cookies" and they're so amazing. I love that it's a small store. Cashiers are always super sweet. I will definitely be back to try more products! Just absolutely horrible... I have been going here for years, and never again. Last three times have just been horrendous. No more meat in the cases long lines with no employees to help. They are always out of everything, and prices no longer justify the quality and options. Talked to an employee, and his direct words were there are cases of meat that need to be unpacked, but the company refuses to hire the xtra help. Everything is way over priced anyway. So good luck. " Fact is they have been doing this for me since they opened, and I confirmed with other employees that he was in fact lying. There were only 2 people at the counter, and it was Sunday afternoon, hardly anyone in the store, So it wasn't busy. This is not the first time he was rude. The last time, id been standing there patiently for 20 minutes, when my turn came, some dude just walked up out of nowhere. Same butcher didn't ask who was next. Just stared taking his order, when I politely stepped up and said I believe I was next, he mumbled something under his breath and ignored me. I'm never going back there. Absolutely horrible. Each time i go there AT LUNCH TIME, the deli case is empty. There are a few dried up pieces of chicken (at least I think it's chicken since nothing is labeled). There is one person working (who has a crappy attitude). When asked if there is any more food coming, the answer is "I don't know" or "No, this is it". How has the store manager kept his/her job? Where is the district manager? Where is corporate? This place is a joke. read more

The Fresh Market is a great place to get FRESH ingredients and I will not dispute that. My father loves going there to get Fresh meat for his meals. They will literally go in back and cut you a fresh set of ribs. The meat isn't even wrapped in plastic which tells you something about the freshness. The decor has a very country/rustic wood theme. They offer tons of gluten free options which is great for people like my wife who has a gluten allergy Unfortunately alot of the stuff in my opinion is priced too high. I mean a few gluten free brownies were like $7. Wow and the pricing is high around the board. With that said, there are people who are willing to pay that amount and it's completely normal to them. Fresh Market is great for some of the more difficult and higher quality products. I found the whole foods comparisons mentioned in other posts spot on. They do have similar signage and displays and a better organic selection then other supermarkets in the area. The produce prices are significantly higher then grocery stores, and way more then produce stands. The isles are very narrow, and if you're not light of foot the other patrons will, unhesitatingly run you over. Very few excuse me or thank you are heard here by the other patrons. Great wine selection, with a nice variety. They have a salad bar that is small, but looks fresh and sufficient. A olive bar is there as well. The employees are friendly. Will certainly go back, but not for everyday needs. read more

The best grocery store from palm beach to who Knows how far north... EXCELLENT service. It is so hard to get employees like this. The young guy in the meat department today was tremendously helpful and they had prime beef! The lady named Pinky helped me out with my fancy cheese selection and I truly appreciated that. She put me on to 4 or 5 different kinds and I bought them all. This is the Treasure Coast's upscale supermarket for sure, but they aren't pushing those premium prices as much as you'd think. Some of the items are understandably expensive but you have to remember the quality or product this store has is far superior. Their prepared foods are absolutely delicious from the bread and desserts to the candies, sandwiches and too much more to list. I could fill up 3 carts in this place and still feel like I need to go back and try stuff. My wife and I have a blast finding out about and trying exotic and imported foods and because of this place, our cooking and nutrition game has most certainly gone up a notch. Every time I go to this store I have a bad experience. Whenever possible I will go to other stores to buy the things I need even if it means multiple trips will be required. Sometimes there just aren't any alternatives in town to get a few specialty items, and I'm forced to come to fresh market. They charge Whole Foods prices, but the quality isn't as good and as far as I've seen nobody on the staff knows anything about the items they sell there, so if you have any questions, you will not receive an answer aside from a made up one (which has happened to me on more than one occasion there). Also, the staff is bizarrely rude. I don't know if working conditions there are not great or what, but I've never had a rude interaction with any grocery store employees in any other store in my life, but every other person working here is just surly and openly rude. The guys at the meat counter are reliably unpleasant, not to mention ignorant about the products they are selling. How was this beef/pork/chicken raised? Free range? Grass fed? Certified humane? They don't know, but will be happy to tell you what they think you want to hear. All in all an overpriced awful store that for some items is the only place in town they're available. If a Whole Foods ever opens in Martin county this place should be out of business in a matter of weeks. read more

So after reading other customer comments, I realize that no one at this company, not even corporate, cares. I contacted customer service after being sold a mislabeled product from the fish case. I have no idea what they sold me but it wasn't what it was labeled and no one cares. Poor customer service. You cannot go wrong shopping at the supermarket and like the name says the food is truly fresh. They have a great prepared food deli area wonderful brands. I love this Fresh Market- much better than the one in Jupiter, the grocery selection is great for how small of a store it is, and the prepared/hot food section is a weekly source for some great meals that save me a lot of time. Paul and Rick in the hot section are always a huge help and they're great at keeping the offerings fresh and let me know how soon the next batch is coming out. I shop here weekly, as well as Whole Foods and Trader Joes in Palm Beach. All 3 are different, Fresh Market is maybe more gourmet in some ways than Whole Foods, and as I blend all 3, I get the perfect combo of great food and I shop to save money and feed my family as healthy as I can. Some of the workers there could smile a little more as it would make the experience there a little more positive, but thats just my opinion. The guys in hot food make up for the others. I was looking forward to some prepared foods to bring home but all I left with was a pizza, sushi and a chicken salad. Love Fresh Market because it has different items not found other places. Reminds me a bit of my home town Sonoma Market. Some differences prices are a bit high. Staff okay, don't seem to go out of their way, which is strange considering the other grocery store staff in the area go above and beyond.
