It was not easy. People had parked wonky causing chaos. When we were leaving, an extremely large truck parked so close to me, even with his side mirrors closed leaving was an issue for me. The 3 year old was not able to get into her seat that way and the other side was almost as close. It took me 20 minutes to leave while repeating to the same car over and over I was leaving but needed to get a child into her car seat before I could drive away. I want to like this place but now after multiple visits I have been disappointed by the quality and staff and won't be coming back. The outside is so nice and inside is decorated well (super dark though - poor lighting especially in the coffee shop). I first went a year ago and the coffee was poorly made (the beans they used then were from one of my favorite local roasters...the espresso shots were pulled incorrectly). Same thing this visit, everything was bitter and tasted burnt (we got multiple drinks for my family both visits). I asked about the beans and their onsite roaster to learn if they roasted everything or if they also used a local roaster and the barista was clueless and said "well they are beans and that's a roaster thing I guess?" The first visit the staff were just rude both the coffee shop and the overpriced store. This time no one was managing the store front and the baristas were so confused, could not keep orders straight and a line grew for people at the coffee shop that just wanted to buy something from the store. My son had ordered a croissant ($7) they called my name, my son went to grab it for me and the guy told him that is not his. I was there with him, told him my name and he said, no it is for someone else. So it sat there getting cold for almost 10mins while we waited for our coffee (meanwhile they were giving other people the wrong items). When my coffee order was ready I asked again and mentioned no one had taken the croissant and if I could now take it, he looked at me and almost said no but the other barista was like yea that is his. The outside gives this place the second star. Sadly the change in ownership has not improved the organization or level of quality. This past visit was on a Wednesday and not a peak time. I may have also just come on two really bad days looking at the other reviews. The prices warrant a better more consistent experience in my opinion. read more

It took way too long to get drinks, and it was crowded and dark in the coffee area. Coffee was mid at best. The outdoor space was super cute, and could be a fun stop on the way to the island. Excellent little coffee shop!! When you walk through the arch it's like you're in your own little magical world! A lush garden full of plants, tables and umbrellas to sit under and an adorable little yellow and white striped coffee camper. Beside the door are two giant chairs perfect for a photo op or just to sit and have your coffee under the awning. When you walk through the doors and into the air conditioning (lol! It's hot, y'all!) you'll be greeted with a little shop full of fun things to look at books, little trinkets and more. Then in the rear of the building is the coffee shop. My go to order here is a dirty chai and it does not disappoint it's absolutely perfect down to the cutie patootie little heart straw that they have! I'm obsessed! Have a couple more coffee shops to try while I'm here but so far this one is the one I keep wanting to come back to!! read more

It's a cute little shop with lots of gifts and quality home goods, perfect for yourself or a loved one. There's also a coffee shop in the back and plenty of tables inside and outside to read or WFH. Right off of the Cortez Bridge is this lovely coffee shop with the cutest outdoor seating. I ordered an iced green tea with raspberry flavor, which was so refreshing. The cutest touch was that the drinks all came with a heart-shaped straw. My sisters each ordered an iced vanilla latte, and they enjoyed their drinks. The workers were so kind and suggested different drinks for us to try. Inside the cafe is also a shop featuring the cutest mugs, candies, apparel, jewelry, books, and more. There is an abundance of outdoor seating, making this the perfect place to grab a bite with friends and family. There is even a small garden outside. I recommend the honey cinnamon latte as it's not too sweet. The employees were very friendly, and it's a great spot to hang out with friends as they have big tables outside. They also have some shade under a tiki hut. Inside the coffee shop, they have a small store. Really cool concept and a nice place where it doesn't seem like you're on top of everyone else. We found this coffee shop on the way to the beach and had a great experience! The people working at the cafe and the store up front were very friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 10 people and the made everyone's drinks so quickly. I loved the sugar free vanilla, it didn't taste very artificial which I appreciated. I saw the Fox Mercantile on IG and I knew I had to go. Of course, this kind of aesthetic definitely serves its purpose of IG Worthy. It certainly is. It has that coastal feel suitable and perfect for nearby Anna Maria Island. They do a nice job with the escape feeling even with the street side right there. Inside you will see a shop that reminds you of a coastal pottery barn perhaps. You will find housewares, apparel, stuff like that in a natural color. In the back, you will find the coffee bar. There is one seat bc all of the seating is outside. I do feel the menu was minimal in the sense drinks - coffee and not coffee and some snacks and a liege coffee and breakfast burrito. I'd love to hang out outside and with minimal food and simple drinks, I found the no dogs sign a bit blatant. But that is what is preferred, so I will stay away. At least I saw it and it's nice, but that's it. Prices r typical of close to the beach in terms of drinks, snacks, and items for sale. read more

The café has a beachy-modern vibe with a hint of Boho charm. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure our morning was perfect. Great christian music played throughout, and there were plenty of cozy seating areas. We ordered a chai latte, iced vanilla latte, egg bites, and waffles....everything was delicious, especially waffle, which I highly recommend. The attached shop was a nice touch, offering a lovely selection of books and local trinkets. I do wish they carried a few beach themed T-shirts. First spot I got for coffee upon arriving to AMI and I read the reviews of the coffee being good but the service not so much. Well while I was there everyone was welcoming, happy, and all smiles! Especially the baristas! I should've gotten their names but whoever was working today at approx 9:30am this morning give them a raise or at least a pat on the back because they were great! Not only is the coffee good but they have some unique items for sale and the establishment inside and out is awesome especially their outdoor area. Absolutely LOVE this place! Trendy, unique and one beautiful little store/coffee shop. Store is more on the expensive side but is great quality. They have more trinkets, antique looking items. Owner also owns the Joie Inn on Annie Maria and she is probably one of the most sweetest entrepreneurs I've ever met. The courtyard is a great place to gather and chat with friends. We were the only people in the store and it took 15 minutes to get an avocado toast that did not taste fresh, barely seasoned and it was barely toasted. Not to mention they were out of multiple things including tomatoes and the breakfast burrito which they only have 2 days a week to begin with. Then after being told they didn't have any more breakfast burritos, we overheard the employees talking about how they had saved some for each other to have later. I don't understand how it took that long while there were 3 employees standing around chatting while we waited for our food. It's a cute spot but if the wait was this long while we were the only ones there, I cannot imagine how long it would take during a busy time. The service was superior: very friendly, not rushing or pushy, very kind and responsive staff. I had some questions, and even on a very busy Saturday morning, they were accommodating and pleasant. The coffee is also excellent: I think very reasonably priced, especially for the quality! This is now my go-to coffee spot on the island. It's only a mile from our family's property on the beach. And honestly: you can feel when a company's mission is in alignment with what they actually do. It's refreshing to see people practice what they preach, especially these days. Visited over spring break. Not sure what this store is... it's off a really busy road, with outdoor seating that's pretty albeit loud out there. Inside, small collection of overpriced merchandise. The coffee was ok, nothing special or worth coming back to. But most oddly, all the staff, including owner herself, were very unfriendly and rude. I took a picture and you would have thought they were going to arrest me! Lots of rude stares and not a single one greeted me!
