Set in Norfolk's Wensum Valley, Lyng is in a beautiful part of the country which is very popular with walkers and anglers, so once you have had enough of outdoor action there is nothing more relaxing than a meal at the freshly rejuvenated Fox.
On the main street, and beside a stream in the charming Village of Lyng, The Fox Country Pub & Restaurant dates back almost 300 years.
In 2014, The Fox was taken over by Husband and Wife team Victoria King and Gavin Hunt, who also run one of Norfolk's most popular Pub-Restaurants, The Lodge in North Tuddenham.
Fully renovated, we've retained traditional elements such as the beamed ceiling, open fire and tiled floor that add to the warm, welcoming feel and contrasted them with modern styling. The resulting mood is fresh and eclectic without belying the business's Country Pub origins.
Serious about food and drink, The Fox features a wide range of Real Ales and fine wines, together with a tasty menu formed from the best local produce. All dishes are freshly prepared and we believe that you will always find something that will appeal to you.
Children's Menus are available and we can also cater for any special dietary requirements.

History
Established in 2014.
After a full refurbishment The Fox reopened in March 2014 with new owners Gavin & Victoria Hunt. The Fox being the second pub they have, The first being the Lodge at North Tuddenham only 4 miles from the fox which they have owned and run successfully since 2007.
Meet the Business Owner: Vikki K.
Vikki King - Owner
Having qualified from Norwich City College with a BTEC National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and institutional operation in 1992 vikki moved to sussex. First fulltime role was as a supervisor within Gatwick airport at a Danish Coffee bar. After a few months Vikki began working for a contract catering company, again as a food & beverage supervisor. Within the first two years she was promoted 3 times, first to Assistant Manager and then to Contracts Manager of the companies' flagship Southern site: FDRL in Basildon. This made me Vikki the companies youngest ever Manager, which attracted various accolades in the catering press.
Following marriage and 2 children Vikki moved back to her Norfolk roots where she has continued to work within the hospitality industry in almost every area, including accounts, conferencing, functions and wedding planning. Finally deciding to take the plunge & start her own business - which brings us to today and 'The Lodge & The Fox'
