The beers are local, Woodforde's but also new brewers too, and are all expertly taken care of and are the definition of perfection in cask conditioning and serving. The food is also excellent and features many local products and comes in ample servings. The pub still retains the flagstone floors, small rooms, and real open fires and absolutely no superfluous decoration or tarting up. When I arrived I was astounded to find one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever been to in the UK that is also super dog friendly. I was very impressed that there was a menu for dogs within the main restaurant menu. The staff were very friendly helpful and professional. I had the chicken pie with mashed and gravy. It was delicious. I can highly recommend this restaurant, and I will most definitely visit it again when I return to the UK
