I attended a crab feast here. This was a great venue. However, the neighborhood isn't so great, so park close!

UNPROFESSIONAL. I wish that I could bold the word, Unprofessional, for this purpose of this review…read more My friend had a baby shower planned for 1/14/22 that I was assisting her with executing. She received a call on 1/13/122 from someone apologizing that my friend has to cancel her event due to being on bed rest and explained that she would have, I believe 6 months to rent the chair at no cost, so basically a credit. Except.. my fe friend did not cancel her even because she's not on bedrest, which she explained. The apologized for the mixed up and confirmed the event and delivery for the event in Colombia Maryland. The delivery of my friend's rented chair was supposed to be between 2&3 because the event started at 5pm. 3 o'clock passed, no chair; 4pm, not chair. We finally call after 4 to get an estimated time of arrival, no answer. We checked and saw that the times listed on google have a closure of 2pm. We continued to call anyway and a woman picked up. We explained the situation and gave them my friend's last name. They told us there was no rental under that name. Praise God that I asked my friend to send me every receipt and communication with vendors, because I was Able to find the confirmation number for the rental. We give it to the woman and she tells us that the notes say that the rental is canceled because the person is on bedrest. I explained that they called yesterday and it was already explained that she is not on bedrest, very much well, very much working and very much expected to show up soon for her shower, so the issue needs to be fixed. Her response was that there was nothing that could be done because the warehouse was closed and the workers were at another event. I exchanged some words that included asking if my friend, who is 33 weeks pregnant is now expected to stand in the front of her event because of their mix up and demand that they find someone to open the warehouse so that we can come and get the chair. After bantering back and forth, which I should not have even had to do, the woman tells us someone will be there soon. Another friend reaches to the warehouse and is met by a girl standing at the door unbraiding her hair and being dismissive. We finally get the chair.. so we will be reaching out to talk about delivery fee. Since we took the chair and they now know the event is on. You think they would come and get the chair? NOPE. We had to call again ... we waited about an hour and a half for someone to show up. Person shows up complaining about how the company has him picking up the chair and he's not even supposed to be working. Tells us to express any issues we have with the front desk. #1 we didn't even express any issues TO HIM #2 it sounds like HE needed to express his issues with the front desk. I would never EVER use this place. If it was the last place standing in Maryland, I would rent from another state.

My Husband and I worked with Ace of Events for our April 2016 wedding. From the moment we sat down…read morewith Ani & Anjali, we knew that we had found "our" Event Planners to help make sure our wedding weekend was nothing but perfect. Not only was it immediately clear that they possessed the hard skills & work ethics we were looking for in a planner (they are organized, communicative, and knowledgeable about south Asian vendors), but they also made it their first priority to truly understand who we were as individuals, as a couple, and what we were looking for in order for our event to be perfect in our eyes. Ani worked closely with Husband and I to make sure everything was set in place for our wedding weekend. Because of his dedication to us our wedding really reflected our personalities - it ended up being exactly what my husband and I dreamed of. And because of this, we have the Ace of Events team to thank for creating something so deeply personal. We'd heard horror stories about wedding planners from family and friends but with Ace of Events - not only did they exceed our expectations but we actually had so much fun throughout the wedding weekend working with them. My husband and I are extremely picky with how we like things done, but Ani really handled all of the craziness we threw their way with so much kindness. While we must have asked a trillion questions, had to make last minute venue changes due to weather, and much more, Ace of Events was so patient with us and really guided us in a way that all of these tasks created no stress. On the day of our wedding we were hit with multiple curve balls, but Ani always took the upper hand and made it his responsibility to handle everything for us so we (the bride, groom & our families) wouldn't have to stress anything. The wedding weekend was everything we envisioned, and more. I want to end this review by saying, I have no complaints about Ace of Events, they were beyond amazing that even our guests recognized their hard work and were surprised of how well and smoothly they handled everything. Thank you Ave of Events for everything you've done - we would definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking to have the perfect event without any added stress!!

From the moment we entered the historic property of the mansion, it simply felt like home! No fuss with finding a parking space, no other loud parties, anniversaries, weddings, bands etc., to compete with at Grey Rock Mansion. It was just us - our family and friends sharing a special, private moment with our Brock and Kori Carter! The lush outdoor garden wedding was extraordinary, and the tent was airy and absolutely stunning with chandeliers and strings of beads and lights streaming from the ceiling. Brock and Kori chose a Sunday brunch. The food was so delicious - sweet bites of pancakes and waffles, hickory bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, spicy shrimp, and grits, along with salmon, chicken, fresh vegetables, and the omelet station. The staff was very attentive, professional, and kind. I loved that their uniforms were so clean and formal. Often the staff at many of the hotels and restaurants have very worn white shirts and dingy sleeves. Not the Grey Rock mansion staff! It was like Sunday Best!!! It was really a charming afternoon of tea, coffee, and bottomless Champagne, Bellini cocktails, scrumptious deserts/food, and lots of dancing in the ballroom. The guests praised the bartender, Edrick for his strong drinks (blush). Raising a glass to unforgettable memories and many more wonderful private gatherings to come with Bill and the Grey Rock Mansion staff - Outstanding!!! Cheers!
