Delicious gelato with really fun flavors. Staff was friendly and helpful, letting us try multiple flavors. Plenty of seating outdoors and super cute decor inside.

Loved being able to try this place out! Right in the heart of downtown Shawnee - Great selection - friendly service. Loved the decor. We will definitely be back to try more!!!

Great gelato in downtown Shawnee! Cute little gelato shop with many flavor choices to choose from. My favorite is always the pistachio which is nice and luxuriously rich. Also had the chocolate dino flavor which has Oreo crumbs in it. Perfect summer treat for after dinner or just because. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Was in the area for Shawnee night market and came upon this cute little gelato shop. There have so many gelatos flavors! Super nice of them to let us try as many samples as we like too. My favorite is pistachio. Perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness. The shop is nice and clean. Fast and friendly service. Patio sitting. Highly recommend.

First time here and I really enjoyed it. Service is friendly and the place is clean with a welcoming vibe. There's a good selection of gelato flavors. Some of which are very unique. They also have some dairy free options (basically all the fruit ones) You can select 2 flavors with a small or medium and 3 with large. We went with the lemon basil and gianduja. The lemon basil is a very refreshing flavor and I love the notes of basil flavor. Perfect for the hot summer days. My girlfriend said the gianduja tasted like ferrero rocher and I'd have to agree. Very different texture and flavor profile from the lemon basil but equally as delicious. It's nice to be able to try a couple different flavors with one order and I'm glad we picked two that were very different from each other. We drove to Shawnee specifically for this place and I'm glad we did. Will definitely be coming here again to try some of the other flavors. They also sell some chocolate candies, gummies and a cow shaped cookie if you're looking for some other sweet treats.

Today I stopped in with my two granddaughters so they could try out some gelato. The gelato was excellent and very flavorful, creamy and smooth. They also added some toppings which were yummy. The place was very clean and colorful. I liked the indoor and outdoor seating. The service was excellent, and she even offered my granddaughters a beforehand try of one of the toppings since they had never had them before to make sure they like them before I purchased them. We will definitely go back!

The Flying Cow gelato shop is such a gem! The gelato is absolutely amazing tasting and reasonably priced. The staff is always great too. This was a weekly stop for us last summer. They've just opened back up for the 2024 season. There is also a Westwood,KS location. Both locations are cute and inviting.

really great service. person who took my order was nice and let me sample a few of the flavors. another person rang me up at the cash register. i was able to email the receipt to myself. i took my gelato outside to eat at the many patio seats and tables and they were clean and tidy. the gelato tasted very good! great flavor, richness, and texture. kind of messy and drippy, but at least there were plenty of napkins to help contain the drippage. an employee came out to wipe down all the used tables and even the outside trash can lid. it was nice they regularly keep everything clean. would definitely love to go back and try all the flavors eventually! excited to have such a great gelato place here!

This place just opened & doesn't come up on the maps yet. Lots of different flavors & options. Lots of toppings to choose. They have patio seating which makes for nice outdoor ambiance. The service was prompt. They give samples too. Highly recommend giving this place a try

I love a lot of spots around the metro, but let's be honest, some of them get crazy busy and you end up waiting in line for a while. That's not a dealbreaker, but with a summer of social distancing, it's nice to have a spot like Annedore's that is tucked into the neighborhoods, has outdoor seating, and is never too busy. Their gelato is so good, and the service is friendly as it gets. We've made a tradition of walking up here as a family once a week, and together we've ordered or sampled: Cookies & Cream, Birthday Cake, Mint Chip, Chocolate Chip, Coconut, Strawberry, Berry Sorbet, Vanilla, and Lemon Basil. All are great (not crazy about the birthday cake one my kiddo always gets), the Berry Sorbet and Lemon Basil are standouts on a hot day. Their portions are generous, prices are very fair, the outdoor seating is great, and it's a very clean shop. Oh, and I recently discovered that macarons are delicious, and theirs are some of the best around. They're around $2.50 a pop and well worth it. I cannot recommend this place enough for gelato, macarons, and of course chocolate if that's your thing. Want to skip lines for ice cream (well, gelato) this summer and still support local? Chicken Gyro (no tzatziki) - Large, well-grilled pita with tomatoes. Simple and solid--this is why we came. It delivered for her--she was in a full-on food coma after. (4/5) Beef/Lamb Gyro - Enormous--one of the biggest I've had. Nice grilled crust on the pita, tasty meat. (4/5) Wish it came with diced onions, and the tomatoes were diced instead of sliced. Tzatziki is a bit thinner and slightly off from what I'm used to. But on mine, there was some on the sandwich and a side--hadn't seen that before. It actually worked well, kept the meat moist--without making it mushy--and let me add more as needed. Added sambal for heat, which helped. Kebab Platter - Mixed bag. Steak kebab was solid (medium rare), minced kebab was decent (in between), chicken was just okay. Rice was very dry--I think I noticed some sumac on top, but either way it didn't help. The salad was excellent--fresh with a lot of pop. Not something I'd order again, but if I did, I'd eat the salad with the rice and kebabs instead of starting with it. It adds the moisture and pop the rest of the plate is missing. That said, each component should stand on its own. (3/5) Overall: 4/5 Gyros carry. Salad and steak kebab were nice, but the platter didn't land. I'd stick to gyros or just do a steak kebab plate next time.

Cold dolmas can be wonderful but not when they're essentially frozen. The grape leaves were so cold that the bed of half-wilted lettuce underneath turned into ice! I loved the pairing of the sauces as well. Great taste, nice presentation -- this item carried the experience. I definitely recommend this dish. Food: 3.5/5 Price: 4/5 Experience: 4/5

This isn't just another ice cream stop. The texture and richness are immediately noticeable, and it quickly becomes clear you're trying something more refined and thoughtfully made than the typical scoop shop experience. It was an eye-opener and a reminder that even a familiar dessert can feel completely new when done at this level. The Peanut Butter Mud Pie was indulgent without being over-the-top, and the overall experience felt more like a small-batch specialty treat than a standard dessert run. Kansas City has plenty of great frozen treats, but French Custard brings something truly unique to the local scene. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try something that stands apart from the usual options.
