In addition, we had to ask for wait staff instead of being served directly, and no one asked about the meals etc. We ordered a starter and a main. Our mains arrived well before our starter (about 15 minutes). Once the food arrived it was disproportionately small compared to the price paid, and we opted to cancel the starter we had ordered. The door was open with no heater inside in the middle of winter. This is the LAST time we let Jack pick the restaurant. Disappointed.

The food wasnt too bad but its not somewhere that I would go again even excusing the next part. My 5 year old daughter had a kids chicken quesadilla and some esquites, she woke through the night with diarrhoea and violent spewing which lasted all night, the doctor said this was food poisoning so I am guessing there was some bad chicken in the quesadilla.

Craft is a new restaurant on Hood Street, recently opened in the last few months by the same folks…read morethat brought us Gothenberg. It's actually located in the old Gothenberg spot on Hood Street. When you walk in, you notice the same sense of style and aethetics that make Gothenberg so pleasant and enjoyable. Craft specializes in pizzas, sliders and beer. Now, the sign out front does actually say that, but if you are looking for something OTHER than those things, then move on. The menu is somewhat limited in that respect. However, in terms of the variety and quality of the pizza and sliders, you won't be left wanting. I came here without the kiddos and with my husband and in-laws, who were visiting from the States. My husband was very happy with the beer selection (I was the driver none for me that night). Though the food is pizza and burgers, you definitely are getting the upper-end version of these items (not typical pub-type fare). The flavor palate is interesting and tasty (and if you ever had the sliders at Gothenburg, you'd have a sense of what is on offer at Craft). The servers were great and friendly. It's wasn't too busy, but it was a Wednesday night. They have some lounge type indoor seating, and some "social" types of seating (e.g. long, high top tables, a high-top counter along the wall) and may well get crowded on a busier night. They have also maintained some of the outdoor seating that was there from Gothenburg as well. All in all, I'll be back again on a future date night. They might be perfectly happy to have your children there, but I don't intend to find out :)

Steak was cooked amazing and couldn't get enough of the potatoes with cheese and sour cream. Left feeling very full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.

I've been here twice now and both times, under different circumstances, I loved it…read more Came here a few months ago with my new moms coffee group on a weekday morning at 10:30. It was packed! I was surprised, given its location, but after having the coffee and food, I totally understand. There is plenty of seating, both indoors and out, depending on how you're feeling. I'd say stay indoors (on a sunny day), if you need to avoid the sun or the little kids. If you are bringing your little kids, then outdoors is the place to be. Came with the family today (Sunday), because I really wanted my husband and older son to check it out. My son (3-years-old) had a blast! There is a large outside play area (at least, for a cafe), including a boat, an airplane, a train, a tractor, a few slides, a couple tunnels, a trampoline, a play house and a couple of swings. Some of the stuff is probably geared toward the slightly older child (under 12), but there is a small slide and toddler swing for the smaller set. This place is the perfect haven for parents with small kids. The food and coffee are fantastic, and you can let the little one run around outside getting out their natural energy that you're so trying to replicate by getting your caffeine on here. We had our usual, flat whites with vanilla. My husband and I each had one, and he actually ordered another. I've never seen him do this before. The water for the table was served in little old-fashioned, glass milk bottles. The water had fresh strawberries, lemon slices and lime slices in it. So light and refreshing and just perfect for the warm morning. We also had some breakfast. They do have a kids menu, though at this particular time, we didn't order from it since our son had eaten at home. I ordered the chia seed pot because it sounded interesting. I'd never had chia seeds before, so I can't really compare it to anything, but it was delicious! The bowl was beautifully presented, with almond milk, coconut shreds, strawberries, raspberries, almonds, creme freche and edible blooms (see my picture). My husband went more simply, just the scrambled eggs on ciabatta. They were pretty damn good eggs. It's so gratifying to have scrambled eggs done well. We arrived at 9:15 and had our pick of outside tables by the play area, but by the time we left at 10:00, it was pretty full. So, get there early for good outside seating. There are some shaded areas but some in full sun. Though, they thoughtfully have some self-serve sunscreen outside to use.

You know where it's not so great of a neighborhood. The places where great Mexican food is found. So this area is not sketchy. I haven't really found any place in New Zealand that is. So when I saw the sign. I had to stop and see. And I was right. They have Spanish music going on. The place is really decorated inside like I would expect a non fancy true Mexican place. Very clean and very welcoming. And the tacos I ate are like the ones I would find in that rough area of LA or San Diego maybe TJ. Just perfect. They carry a couple Mexican beers. The favorites. Modelo Negra , Pacifico and of course Corona. This place is supposed to be good at night. Starting Tuesday- Sunday. I'll find out tonight. Lol.
