I went to another flower shop in Cary (Cary Florist) today and while I realize it's the week of Valentine's I was looking for an arrangement for a friend who'd had surgery. Cary Florist refused to make anything except a Valentines Day themed arrangement so I sought out a different florist and am so thankful I found The Flower Cupboard! John, the owner at The Flower Cupboard was generous with his time and his shop is filled to the brim with amazing flowers as well as plants!! I was able to order a stunning arrangement that was delivered within two hours to my friend who called with delight!! Highly recommend read more

Wow. This morning I called in to get a bouquet sent to a coworker who was retiring today. She'd moved to NC a couple years ago and had been working remotely. After 20+ years of working with my family's business we wanted to send her something beautiful from us. Found this florist on yelp and within the hour he had a lovely arrangement already in the hands of our friend. Cannot be happier with the service and quality of the flowers. read more

The Flower Cupboard did the flowers for our daughters wedding. John, the owner, and Renee, his very talented floral designer, stayed within our budget, but produced the most beautiful, personalized floral designs for the tables, a gorgeous wedding bouquet exactly like the bride wanted, and other lovely items. John and Renee were not only a pleasure to work with, but used fresh, unique flowers, and tremendous talent that FAR excelled the standard FTD fare. If we could give them more than five stars, we definitely would do so. We were delighted with their work and wedding guests raved about the flowers! KUDOS!!!!! read more

Amazing - I live in a different state, and I purchased a bouquet for my granddaughter in Cary, NC. They were incredibly kind in assisting me with the perfect flowers. I also asked for a later delivery on a Saturday since my granddaughter was checking out of the hospital. I got a flower delivery from them on a Monday morning..The arrangement was stunning! The flowers have spread their joyful fragrance in my office for the past 5 days and still look fantastic. Every single person walking by has asked where I got those beautiful flowers from! Instructions came clearly written about Water and flower food to keep them fresh and healthy. They delivered on time and the sender tells me it looked prettier in person than it did while ordering! That's always nice right? read more

Very pleased with customer service over the phone and the resulting bouquet we had sent.

Many thanks to the Yelp reviewers for recommending The Flower Cupboard. I called The Flower Cupboard from San Francisco to enquire about same day delivery to Cary and spoke to John - he was very kind and suggested that I place my order prior to 1PM EST and even offered a couple of recommendations for the flower arrangement I was looking for. To my surprise, the flowers were delivered in an hour's time and beautifully put together. Thank you so much, John & team. read more

Per usual I hadn't sent my far away friend a birthday card in time for her special day. I used Yelp to find this florist near her. It was noon in California when Facebook reminded me it was her birthday. YIKES! It was 3 in SC when I called to see if they could deliver to her today. With the sweetest southern drawl he said he could and my friend just sent me pics of the beautiful bouquet at 3:30 PT Made my day! I feel like I got flowers too. This is a very long overdue review. I've been meaning to get to this, but when I started there was a problem loading my photos. Then summer passed, and then covid turned our world into a 12-month long episode of Twilight Zone, and now, here we are in spring 2021. This should have been done a long time ago. I'll come back to edit this review, because it's one thing to tell you what outstanding florists are at The Flower Cupboard, but a whole other thing to show you. So first, I'll tell you about the lovely people and describe their flowers, and, I hope within a week, be able figure out which device has the photos on it and post them. Im not really a roses kind of lady. Of course, they're beautiful, they're iconic, and some even smell so good, you'd want to go to sleep with them at your side. But for me, almost all roses ultimately disappoint me. I've said about roses before, "Please don't. They just break my heart when they wither and wilt and die and smell so rancid. Pretty, yes, for a day or two." I have tried all the tired old suggestions--cutting the stems daily at a 45-degree angle, rinsing them under warm water, changing the water daily with fresh warm water, thus additive, that additive, and so on and so forth. Forget it. They just break m heart and gross me out. Until two years ago, there had only been one source of roses that did not wither and flop out on me. on the west coast of Florida, in a tiny little hamlet, was an older lady named Beulah who filled her whole yard with roses. They were big, like Pom-poms, smelled divine, and no matter what I did or did not do with them, they took their time opening up. And they lasted. Beulah charged $5 a bunch for her roses, and she asked that you just drop off the vase next time you drove by. What a connection. Beulah has been gone for a long time now, and I no longer drive through that little settlement on the Nature Coast of Florida. People still sent roses to me for special occasions, but they weren't like Beulah's roses, and they just, you know, made me feel disappointed, like someone had meant to thrill me with a dozen (or more) roses, but it was always the same thing. Death and despair. Ha--well, maybe not quite so grim, but regardless, florists roses just don't thrill me. I'd rather have daisies or, better yet, tulips, or lilies. Then two years ago, someone sent me two dozen roses from the Flower Cupboard. My first thought, after being wowed by the owner, was that these were like Beulah's roses, but with longer stems, not quite wild-looking like hers, but definitely very special like Beulah's roses. This first delivery from The Flower Cupboard was multi colored, and the colors were striking--so many different colors. The vase as gorgeous too (in fact, I used it this past holiday season for some creative work of my own). Even the vase was extraordinary, thick glass, a quality vase worthy of keeping for good. These roses lasted a good while too, about a week before any started to show signs of stress. They were thrilling--like roses are supposed to be. No wires hiding them up, because they didn't need any; they stood up just fine on their own. Then two more times, I received gifts of roses from The Flower Cupboatd--and the while they were different types and styles of arrangements, each of these also did the same thing. They took their time opening up. They smelled like heaven, and were such a joy to see every day. The first one was not a fluke--The Flower Cupboard simply has the best roses I've ever seen (with all due respect and affection for Beulah). Now, add to these stunning displays of roses, the most personalized delivery from one of the nicest, warmest business people I've ever met. if I recall correct, the owner's name is John, and he says he likes to hand the flowers to you directly, rather than leaving them on your door step. He has such enthusiasm for what he is doing, and he made the whole experience remarkable. If you've got someone who needs some roses, this is where I'd tell you personally--like if you were my friend--get your roses from The Flower Cupboard. You will thoroughly thrill your recipient. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. And I'm still not a rose lady--unless they're from The Flower Cupboard. I cannot recommend them any higher, I really can't. read more

So on a last minute "oh sh!t" I have 100+ realtors I'm hosting for a sneak peek of a new home community in Apex - I realized I had to change gears and move my event outdoors. Well that requires decor and what better to use for decor then floral arrangements. And that lead me to The Flower Cupboard. What a great shop!!! I went to the shop today to order something special for a dear friend who passed away and the memorial service is this Sunday.....TOTALLY forgetting about tomorrow being Valentine's Day!!! First of all, the shop was filled to the max with the most amazing arrangements and smelled divine and the staff was obviously in a frenzy. But, when I told them why I was there, they totally gave me their undivided attention without even a hint that they were in a rush. I was so appreciative and just when I thought it was the best experience ever.....he gave me a single long stem rose to take with me. That single act really was so sweet. Can you say.....CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! read more

I arranged for a delivery putting the order in around 4:30 and figured that it would not be able to be delivered until the next day and they surprised me with still delivering that same day with a text confirming the delivery and that they had upgraded my order. HIGHLY recommend this group. My only feedback is that they would benefit from increasing the options and photos on their website. I almost used someone else but then with lack of time went back and ordered from them. So glad I did. read more
