Save the dough, don't order from The Flour Pot. Unless you want a rude interaction, and excuses why they can't make good on their orders. The cookies are amazing, but if they can't meet shipping dates or deliver what you actually order, why bother! I placed 3 orders, all were incorrect.
from Flour Pot customer service agent;
This dialogue is beginning to be ridiculous and a total waste of energy and time. You purchased your other orders with a home delivery on December 16. It states on our website that we need a few days production time - Every cookie is baked fresh for your recipient. You had requested the order by the 21st-if it was a necessity that it was to arrive that day, it should have been stated and we would have changed the shipping. We are in Philadelphia which is a 5 day delivery to California. Next time order from someone else and have them pick cookies off the shelf that have been there for 6 months.
And by the way, I think your tone is very unprofessional - we don't conduct business this way here. We take great pride in each and every cookie, have been in business for 8 years and are very proud of our customer list and customer service.

Hi Abby,
Just thought you should know, not 1 of my 3 orders will arrive as requested. They are all scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, Friday 12/23. All 3 were requested to be delivered on 12/21. I'm shocked that the orders placed on 12/16 have taken 7 days to arrive to their destination. WOW! Total break down on service execution. 2 of the recipients will likely never even receive them (Larkspur Hotels) and our Neighbors (which was shipped to me) and my other client (fondant free) will at least receive theirs...
This really is a shame how this all worked out...very sad in Oakland California.

Abby,
Again, thank you for understanding and addressing my concerns and frustrations with this particular order. I'm mostly disappointed that my order was substituted without my approval, and moreover if this was such a concern of Flourpot, that a call should have been placed being time was of the essence. I believe a call would have resolved this matter right out of the gate. And regarding the delivery date "it's a wish date" not the actual date, as it appears on your site. So, based on the bake time and requested delivery, maybe this should "trigger" a notice to the consumer there is a conflict. Regardless, it's done, I've shared my concerns, and you have stated your position.
Thank you!
Hi John,
Thank you for your email. I truly apologize that your expectations were not met, let alone exceeded. We hold our cookies and gift boxes to a very high standard and aim to surpass expectations. Perhaps using the word "naked" was not the best way to describe the cookies as they are adorably decorated and festive.
Your order was placed on the 19th and requested to arrive by December 21st via 2-Day Delivery. It takes at least two days to make the exact Let It Snow gift box pictured on our website (the website states: Usually ships in 2-3 business days), making the earliest ship date the 21st and arrival the 23rd. We could have delivered the exact gift box according to that schedule. Noticing that you wanted the package delivered before that, we used our best judgment to send a gift box that would make you proud and fit your requests. The difference in the price of the gift boxes is $3 and we are happy to refund you that amount.
Again, I apologize that you were disappointed and want you to be proud to order from us. The two gift boxes you ordered on Dec 16th were shipped as the exact gift boxes you ordered.
Please let me know what we can do to help you.
Thanks again,
Alyssa Greco on behalf of Abbey Alpert
Hi Magie,
Just reading through all my emails - being I was out all day today...and I just saw your note that they shipped naked - SHOOT! What a shame - this is going to a really big customer of mine and I really wanted this to be a special delivery - being they have kids...I wish we would have been able to talk today - so I could have shared with you that my preference would have been to wait a day. I appreciate the offering of the additional cookies - but for me this doesn't overcome the short coming....shoot, double shoot...crap! Hmmm, maybe during the holidays you guys should take down the 2 day service option....I would have done 3 day - but was willing to pay for 2.. What do we do now??
Are they naked, totally just plain?
John
Hi John,
Thank you for your order! As we are so busy with our existing orders, it is impossible to bake the cookies you need to go out 2 day. I can however, substitute a larger quantity of the same shapes in our naked version without the fondant. They can go out today. I will put 16 cookies in the box instead of 12- they are just as cute, with just as much detail and we sell loads of them in our retail shop. They are fresh read more
