Uber Cool Stuff has everything from board games, to cool toys, to art, to kitchen wares. I really like to come here when I'm stuck for a gift and want to get someone something really cool and unique. I've purchased salt and pepper fooseball players, a bbq skewer that has the handle of a sword, and pot holders that look like records. The owner of this store is very active on twitter which is really nice when you need to ask about anything. The store is also attached to a vintage clothing store which has some pretty cool stuff. I do find Uber Cool Stuff to be a bit expensive. However, I haven't compared their prices to stores online (plus shipping costs) so it may end up being on par. Either way, if you are looking for a spot to find some cool stuff for a friend or you want to get something fun for your house, go here, you wont be disappointed.

Other coupons, too, for framing, etc. Don't even consider paying full price for the framing. Your eyes will water at the regular prices. I only needed thing on my last visit but they were out of it. Staff said that they may, or may not, get more in this week, but the coupon expired before the truck arrived. It would be great if they would stock more made in North America products. Sometimes it seems as though everything in the store is from China. They will likely have something in the category you are looking for but not necessarily the exact item. For example, they have beads and jewellery findings, but they may not have the exact size or colour that you need.

The owners help with difficult to order items. The shop hosts many geek community events like card night and games. They take part in the annual comic shop crossover which promotes local geek culture. The owners are also part of the organizing committee that runs Forest City Comicon which is a wonderful and welcome edition to the London festival and convention scene. The store is very well laid out and organized. They also take part in a loyalty program called Vicinity which many other shops also take part in so less rewards cards in your wallet. Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport (multiple routes). A great spot to buy all things nerdy and geeky!

The board game section is much more focused (though the staff, aside from maybe 3 including owners in that number, still seem to know little or offer little assistance in this area) I'n okay with that I do my due diligence usually before heading in but it would be nice if I find that rare item I've never heard of for them to at least fake and interest and possibly look it up! Still the selection and fact that they carry some of the heavier things Uber doesn't usually will keep me popping in to see what's new. Alas, the MtG's will always rule this shop and I'm okay with that too... but I still hold out hope and at least no rude 'there's the door' innuendos anymore... in fact I haven't seen that employee in my time back coming in... odd... The staff at Players are amazing. They have a great selection of products. They recently took on…read moremore space and host fun events for all ages. Even though the hobby has gotten expensive as of late, they still offer great value. My kids love going there because the staff are friendly and kind. Sometimes kids can be a bit annoying when the store is busy but the staff never make them feel like a burden. Even when all the adults are crowding around the display cases, the staff are good about making sure the kids get to have a look. Players is doing it right. Give'em a look.
