    Vegetarian full Irish breakfast
    Enit S.

Loved it. Cozy, great food, great service, caters to both vegetarians and omnivores alike, what's not to love? Clean bathrooms, plentiful seating room, I mean.. I can keep going. They had a great vegetarian full Irish breakfast that was big enough for both my mom and I to share from, and I also picked up one of their freshly baked chocolate-caramel cookies to snack on since there was going to be a lot of walking going on that day. The cookie was sooooo good, I'm slightly drooling right now thinking back on it... Yes, dine here.

Cute and delicious breakfast spot in the heart of Kilkenny just what we were looking for on our first day visiting here.

Great spot to enjoy breakfast in the heart of Kilkenny - we loved our food and would definitely recommend

We ate lunch whilst here in Kilkenny. Excellent food and atmosphere. Nice service to boot.

Wandering around Kilkenny's Medieval Mile in search of a lunch spot is no easy task. Pubs and restaurants are everywhere. We picked the Fig Tree and were pretty happy with our choice. The dining room is very pretty with blue mosaic tile at the counter, light yellow walls on the first floor, and brick walls upstairs. We ordered a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon (€7.50) that came with a nice small salad, and a Smoked Salmon and Prawn Salad served with Brown Bread for €11.50. My salad was tremendous- in both size and quality. I couldn't believe how much smoked salmon was on that plate. Coffee and tea were priced right at under €2.50. For a casual lunch in a fun place with a sweet vibe, the Fig Tree was perfect.

Strong lunch option after a day of visiting multiple castles. My wife went BLT and said it was delicious (she didn't get the bread toasted). My son for the Beef Lasagna which was tasty and my DIL got the Caesar Chicken Wrap which she was very pleased with. I got the Pulled Pork Sandwich which I enjoyed. It had a sweeter sauce and a house made dressing that was good. I liked the addition of the crisp lettuce and tomato. I enjoyed the house made dressing they put on the salad (they sell small bottles of it at the register).

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a lunch spot on the streets of Kilkenny and it hit the spot! The staff was super welcoming and our party of 5 was seated right away on the top floor by the window which overlooked the streets. I ordered the Cajun Chicken wrap with chips and it was warm and absolutely delicious blend of flavors. Highly recommend! My friends got the chicken cesar wrap and the beef burger and all were very pleased with the quality and service of this place. The hot chocolate was heartwarming after walking the cold windy streets and definitely a must try at this place. They also offered other espresso drinks from lattes to cappuccinos along with salads, soups and main entrees. This is more of a casual cafe and once you're seated and order you can just pay downstairs at the cashier. They do have a bathroom and offer food to go.

This restaurant fits perfectly in the middle of Kilkenny. They have a very extensive menu for breakfast and lunch with something for everyone. I got the full Irish breakfast as I was really craving some baked beans. Food was speedy to arrive and quite a large portion. My favourite part of the breakfast beside the beans was the bacon. I was able to substitute toast for Irish sweet bread.

Full Irish - €10 two rashers, two sausage, fried egg, tomato, bean, white and black pudding & tea included.

After researching places to get breakfast in Kilkenny, we settled on the Fig Tree for our first "Full Irish" in country. I really liked the modern ambiance, and the food itself was solid. It wasn't the "biggest" full Irish I've ever eaten, but I didn't mind that one bit. You still get a bit of all the classic components, but you don't necessarily end up eating 1600 calories at one meal. The full Irish came with two sausage, two rashers, one egg, one white and one black pudding, beans, toast, tomato and your choice of tea or coffee (I chose tea because tea in Ireland is amazing). Price wise, it was on the spendier side of things, but well worth it if you ask me.

Great food. Stopped here for lunch on our way from Dublin to New Ross/Waterford. It has three levels. I had a panini with chips. Also had ice tea which came in a bottle. Service was fast. Bathroom were on the 3rd floor might not be suitable for the elderly with mobility issues. Don't recall a lift (elevator).

Mini Irish breakfast with gluten free toast

Perfect place for coffee and breakfast. I had a mini irish breakfast, including a choice of delicious gluten free bread. My boyfriend had the full irish breakfast, & came very close to finishing it. This was our first time having white pudding & black pudding. It was delicious! He had a rich & foamy cappuccino, I had what I think they call americano coffee, it was regular & very good. They had quite a few gluten free options.

Portions are huge and I mean huge, even bigger for dinner in the evening. Famous for their curry with half and half. That is what I usually get. But the theme of the place is certainly a curry house, with lots of variations. Prefer to come for lunch as its bright and cheerful, with great choice. Evening time good also, but doesn't feel like a dinner destination as much. Great service as you would expect in small town Ireland. Will be a regular here for some time. Nice to have more options in Enniscorthy.

The meat was finely ground and the cheese was creamy. The taste was delightful. The chicken in pepper sauce was very tender. The sauce was nice and spicy. The potatoes were a perfect accompaniment to the sauce. The veg was flavorful and not overlooked. The bangers and mash was terrific. There were four delicately placed scoops of mash and three bangers. Very flavorful. Great sauce. The cod with peas and chips was also nice. The fish was crisp and almost scalding hot. The mushy peas were a great side. Just slightly mushy, very tasty. All portions were HUGE! Good service, pleasant atmosphere. Despite the crowd, service was fast. Great place for lunch.
