We were sat and menus brought out and drinks order taken. Food was ordered shortly after and arrived hot and of a very good quality. I very rarely visit Littlehampton but would recommend this restaurant and can commend Zayleigh for her excellent customer service skills. Keep up the good work all of you .

But I have found out that Jenny's do the same sauce . If ever going to littlehampton we know we won't be going here again. They could not do any discount as there manager was not there to do the till discount?? So he ended up giving my 3 year old a half melted 99 flake cone. Which seemed to be melting.

It offers a small but perfectly formed menu of yummy dishes which change regularly. I have been there twice in the space of a couple of weeks and the food has been really good both times. My only criticism of the second time we went there, was that you didn't get to see the owner as much as she was behind the bar. She offers a really personal unobtrusive service. The other waitress was young and lacked her charm. This restaurant is a real gem, try it you won't be disappointed!

Whilst waiting in queue outside for "The Breakfast Club" (shocking, I know) I spotted this prize just across the lane. At first glance I felt a little "Texas vibe" from the building, and loved that it was a little nook in the corner. Intrigued, I ran over to read their menu. SOLD. We had "The Devil Went Down to Brighton" and "Tennessee Terror".... one thing is for certain, they do NOT SKIMP on any of the listed ingredients for each speciality burger. WE ANNIHILATED IT. I came home to write a review, thinking of all these incredible things to say... only, my food coma is sinking in and I really gotta end this here. I support TF out of Brighton Burger; my NOW FAVORITE burger in Brighton, and I support TF out of this message. zZZzzz

It is both a blessing and a nightmare that Brighton Burger is so close to my current flat. A…read moreblessing because, let's face it, these are some of the best burgers I've ever tasted, and a nightmare because it's going to be hard not to get one every single day... Set up in a tiny, shack-like kitchen just beside the Giggling Squid, Brighton Burger serves hearty, honest, flavoursome food. Their menu is wonderful, hosting many unusual eats and obscure burgers - from wild boar to buffalo- but they also server your usual burger and fries to a very high standard. The burgers themselves are almost moist and full of flavour. So moist, in fact, that my takeaway burger soaked through the paper bag (my only teeny complaint!). This can be forgiven though, for as soon as you bite into the juicy burger, cuddled by sweet, soft bun and topped with whatever glorious accompaniments you opted for, everything can be forgiven. Literally everything. This last visit had me trying out the buffalo burger, which was absolutely delicious! Not as different tasting as you might expect it to be, but certainly different enough that you notice you're tasting something new and out of the ordinary! I added chips to my order and they came out, all thin and crispy, just how I like them! I almost typed there were 'too many chips' there, but let's be honest there's no such thing. There were loads of them though, in one portion, so maybe share between two if your appetite is not massive! The man who served me was pleasant (they always are!) and the service was quick and painless. The burger and chips came to around £8 which, though not the cheapest in Brighton, is so so reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of the food here! There's also a few tables and chairs dotted out by the front of the place, so you can sit in the sun (when it's about) and enjoy your burger in peace, watching the world go by! If you're in Brighton and you haven't tried these burgers then, firstly, shame on you, and secondly TRY THEM. I'll eat my hat if you're not impressed and back again for seconds the next week! :P

Its not in the best position to visit on the way home from a night out, and being on Lewes Road, it is a little fiddly to get to however you plan to travel. But if your looking for budget grub, you could do a lot worse. I first tasted the wares of this place when my incredibly hyper mate came back from a house party a little earlier in the evening than I was expecting, brandishing a sausage and bag of prawn crackers. Impressed at the prawn crackers/ sausage combo, I enquired to where he had been. He told me "So So", which I believed was the name of the place until I came to reviewing it! I also thought that the food must be filled with some crazy amounts of sugar or something due to my friends excitable state, but I soon realised it was just the alcohol/ caffeine combo he'd been experimenting with.

Sa sa was my staple 'go to' chippy when I lived on Newmarket Road. They offer all you would expect…read morefrom a chippy and have a fair range of Chinese food on the menu also. Generally, you will be served by a late middle aged Chinese woman, whilst her husband attends to the frying and preparation of the Chinese dishes out back. Her command of the English language is somewhat limited, but thankfully her command of manners, plus good humour are certainly not lacking! I have only ventured onto the Chinese menu once and must admit that this is certainly a chippy offering Chinese food opposed to a Chinese with a few English dishes tacked on. The prawns and rice were simply that and although adequate, were a little bland. This being said, if you want Chinese then go to a Chinese takeaway. The fish and chip menu is both reasonable and mostly cooked to order. The chips weren't too greasy (mark of infrequent oil changing) and the batter is crispy, as well as tasty. You will buy a meal to satisfy the heartiest of appetites for under a £5 (or about £2 if you go for a sausage etc) I would recommend the prawn crackers that they are happy to serve you whilst you wait for your food to be cooked. It's just a shame that it's a bit out of the way and only likely to be frequented by Lewis road residents.

You can sit in or takeaway and they also do more substantial cafe fare such as sandwiches and soups etc. They are open from 8am weekdays, which is handy for those in need of a caffeine boost on the way to work. This spacious gastro-pub, located in the backstreets of the Seven Dials area, is not somewhere…read moreyou'd find by accident, though it's actually very close to one of the main roads into Brighton. Formerly the Marquess of Exeter, it was transformed about two and half years ago to one of Brighton's first non-smoking gastro pubs, aiming firmly for the fine dining and family market. The smoking ban has since caught up, of course, but the food and philosophy are still there. Occupying a corner site, the interior has stripped-wood floors, non-matching wooden furniture, but it's not scruffy: the walls and high ceilings are immaculately painted in maroon and cream, and the overall feel is one of light (huge windows on two sides) and spaciousness. The triangular bar has seating on two sides, with the right-hand side offering views into the kitchen. They serve real-ale (Harveys Sussex Bitter) and have an extensive wine list, but the food takes centre stage, as the open kitchen testifies. It's a gastro-pub menu that would shame many in London, with a commitment to organic and local produce where possible. Despite some impressive reviews, we've not eaten here yet: partly because we already have some favourite eateries, and partly because the gastro food comes with gastro prices: only the veggies get away with mains much below £10, and a three course meal with wine is going to cost upwards of £30 a head. We still can't bring ourselves to pay this much in a pub (especially when you can eat for substantially less in some fabulous Thai and Indian restaurants nearby), although others clearly do, and seem to enjoy it. But that said, even if you are not eating, it's still an agreeable place for a beer of an evening, with calm and relaxing music, a relatively unpretentious crowd, nice surroundings and pleasant staff.

Once we made the long UPHILL walk through rural Brighton, we found this gem of a pub/restaurant resting on a quiet block. You will have to work for this meal as it is a bit off the beaten path. We went in and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. This is just an easy no nonsense pub/restaurant with good simple ingredients that make delicious meals. With our pre-dinner drinks, we ordered the largest olives I have ever seen in my life (mixed in with some regular sized ones!!!). They were amazing! I had the Tomato Soup to start with basil oil and ciabatta bread (see image). My man had the beef shin risotto which was also quite nice. For my main, I had the sirloin steak and he had the Harveys Beer Battered Halloumi Cheese dish. This wouldn't be a normal choice for him but after tasting the local Harvey's beer, he thought he'd give it a try...and he loved it. My steak was good overall, however, I found it to have a bit more fat than I'm used to. I couldn't eat about 20% of it which was a shame. I can forgive it though as the meat I did get to was lovely. We did not have dessert but rather a lovely cup of coffee. The server asked me how we heard about it and I gave credit to all of you fabulous reviewers at YELP!!!!!
