The line is long, but it goes pretty quick. Highly recommend getting it. We shared one, but could have easily eaten one on our own. It's ok, bc it leaves room for us to try something else. Northfield Farm Got the special Rueben and shared it. It has salt beef, emmental cheese, sour kraut, pickles and their secret sauce. It was cool to see him make it in front of you quickly. It's only one person at a time, so the line might take a while to make its way through.

I was a bit scared to get this since i was by myself but let me tell you, it was not heavy as i expected it to be. Just delicious overall and would totally recommend. Chocolate strawberries: I love strawberries and chocolate but definitely think you can find cheaper alternatives anywhere in london. Bread Ahead: my new favorite pastry place. I pretty much got a donut from this place (not this location) everyday because the black currant cheesecake donut was that good. I got the tiramisu and crème brûlée donut which my brother liked and i wish i could've tasted them before they went bad but anyways, I would totally recommend the donuts from here! Their chocolate chips cookies are HUGE and delicious as well. This was probably one of my favorite markets!

Instead the market is formed by different businesses arranged next to each other in a square. If you need to know which restaurant I recommend, I always opt for the Spanish place - where you can eat a proper steak, half a chicken with fries or a big spanish sausage. On a very hot Sunday afternoon we ordered sangria to cool down. There are two other places I visit. The organic food shop, which has a very deep selection, especially if you look for a special marmalade. In a white wooden hut you will find a book shop which has a wide selection of manly art, design, architecture and fashion. Here and then I find an interesting book - there is nothing as good as flicking through newly printed books. This place is ideal to just love and live on a Sunday afternoon. If there is one place I recommend to visit in summer in Chelsea it is this one. I suggest you go there with a group of friends and just chill out. Also, I discovered lots of Greek and Spanish people hang out around there -hot.

It's something to do with the low, chalet-style buildings which house the shops, businesses and restaurants - they're just so un-flashy, un-Chelsea. So in the end I was brought here because someone recommended the alterations place to me I think it's called Leo's. It's run by an old Italian guy, the service is good and he is a big character. Expect to wait in a queue, listening to stories of his grandchildren. Upon exploration, the other shops in here are also great. I found a rare bound copy of The Book of Tea in the bookshop. I have been looking for one for years, randomly asking places. This is definitely the sign of a good bookshop. The organic / wholefoods shop is also good, as is the tobacconists and, although all I had was a takeaway sandwich from the restaurant, its was yummy. I like and miss Chelsea Farmer's Market, despite the severe lack of real farmers.

The market area is mostly covered by tall ceiling structures, giving a small reprieve if it's raining, but it has an open air feel. What's funny about this market is that you can find local options or favorites from back home. There's a shake shack right in the center of the market, but you can find smaller craft eateries spread around. There are also different places to get a cup of hot mulled wine or hot chocolate and you'll find the long lines for Ben's cookies nearby! If you are coming to Covent Garden via the tube, know that this tube station is a wreck! It's incredibly busy and unless you want to walk up an endless flight of stairs, you'll need to wait and pack in like sardines into the elevator.

Also it might be better to get there early. We arrived at 12ish and were limited in choice at the sausage stall and the tomato stall had sold out of tomatoes, tomato juice and passata! We got: some fab pork sausages (£3.99 for six), some delicious spinach and feta and cheddar and leek mini quiches (3 for £5); a steak and ale and Thai curry pie (£3.75 ea i think); a tasty apple and blackberry smoothie (£4 a litre) and lots of fresh veg and eggs. In addition to great produce, there are a few fish and meat vendors (look for the man with the sundried-tomato turkey burgers..they are great!), bakeries, pie minister, organic food stands, and dairy farmers. I live pretty near Billingsgate. Have done for about 8 years. I've been once. I went for an article I was writing and had a great time (met a fisherman who hated fish - go figure), but once was enough for me. I do not do well with 6am starts. And the last thing I feel like pre-coffee is buying seafood. But I like cooking. I like making tasty things. I like having fresh food that didn't cost the earth in the supermarket (although my local fishmonger is also awesome). I basically want all the good stuff, delivered to my door. Marky Market does that. Not just to your door, but to your office too. I live so close to Billingsgate that I'd have had a very early wake-up call (Mark starts his day at 2:30 am - I'm not even asleep by then a lot of the time). So Qype laughed at me when I got half a kilo of samphire delivered to their office. I made tasty salads with crayfish for a party, everyone was impressed. Even shared some in the pub with some other Qypers. They were happy too. I'll use Marky Market for any special occasion. If you don't like early starts and you like tasty food, you should too.

I came on a Saturday at lunchtime and there were two stalls offering lunch takeaway (I tried the Thai stall, which was good) and a couple of grocers with fresh meat and produce. Compared to other street markets, Tachbrook is quite small and doesn't have much to offer. But it was fun to stumble across, and hopefully it grows!

There's a great fruit and veg stall selling a huge variety of in season fruit and veg. And not just your bog standard stuff like iceberg lettuce. He's got lambs lettuce, rocket and spinach too! He'll tell you if the fruit is ready to eat or needs ripening so you don't waste your money. I managed to get a huuuuuge mango and i haven't seen any in my local supermarket. I did quite a geeky thing the other day and compared his prices to Tesco's and he came up slightly cheaper on all products! But there's not just fruit and veg at this market, oh no! There's not one but 2 fresh seafood stalls! And permanent businesses on the street include a butchers and bakers. There's also a few stalls doing takeaway food, including curry. Mmmm... an all round winner.
