However when I finished my order, the line was out the door. I asked the cashier what was good and the manager (maybe owner) walked over and I asked him. I wanted ribs or brisket, but needed a 2nd opinion. He said he would choose brisket because theirs is USDA Prime and he would put it against any other barbecue restaurant in Tennessee. Those are some bold words. So I ordered the brisket platter (fatty portion) with green beans and cinnamon baked apples. What I received was 3 good sized portions (1/2 pound) of fatty brisket. The meat was tender, melt in your mouth without an overbearing amount of fat clumped together. The bark was salty and very peppery. It was actually good enough to eat without a sauce. Speaking of, there was only one sauce on the table, so I used that. It was a sweet sauce, definitely honey-based but not overly sweet like other honey-based sauces I've had in the past. The thing is I love everything honey-related, so I would definitely buy this to take home. It was so good, I was scavenging for brisket fibers on my plate. So I praised the brisket but I think the shocker was the green beans. These were hands down, the best green beans I've ever had...ever. Salty, tender, peppery, with chunks of meat and fat, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Who would have thought that a side could be that good? Last but not least, the Cinnamon Baked Apples. I love baked/fried apples. Something about the tart and sweetness brings me back every time. The apples were soft, but not mushy. Farmacy: homeopathic remedies, CBD, fresh local herbs and spices, teas, etc... They also have a fine selection of beer and wine, and a kitchen with wonderfully fresh, locally-sourced meats and produce - great burgers and fries, salads, mushrooms, onion rings, etc... (I hear pizza is coming;-) And since the owners are accomplished musicians, they put in a full stage with back line, lights and sound, a piano and a Hammond organ with Leslie. They have 2 or 3 musical acts a day. Come in for lunch, where most days Gene Dunlap (Faron Young, Loretta Lynn, et.al.) plays piano jazz and country, often accompanied by a patron who happens to play an instrument or sings. Around dinnertime, there is typically a jazz combo playing the great American songbook while you eat, or you can browse for hardware with a beer in your hand! Can't do that at Lowe's! Nightly entertainment is one or two acts playing all styles: blues, country, rock, pop, bluegrass, soul, R&B; everything from solo singer/songwriter to full bands with horns, and everything in between. Saturday afternoon is one of the most magical times - the Open Community Jam starts at noon and everyone is welcome to come participate - can't play an instrument? If you prefer a down-home, out of the way, locally owned and run small business, try Joelton Hardware. This is my favorite place. It'll be yours, too. P.S. A few of the other reviews have mentioned that service can be slow at times. This is often because the owner and/or her kids are doing everything - cooking the food, waiting tables, selling hardware, and running the register. It will only get better as business builds and Kris can hire more people. Be patient and enjoy the vibe of the place. It is always worth it to your soul to slow down a little and escape the hustle and bustle.

Not sure, but the fries appears to be hand cut, with skins on. If frozen, they did not destarch the fries, which would be unusual.
