Moore&Moore/ Ant Moore Wines & DNA Brew & Taproom share the space to this Italian eatery and pizzeria located in the middle of the Marlborough wine country. When all the wineries close, people appear to go here. We were more interested in the DNA brews initially though disappointed in myself for not ordering wine being that we were in wine country. A Sauvignon Blanc also would have been a superior pairing with their fresh Havelock green lipped mussels served with rosemary garlic bread. I mean, if they make their Napoli-styled pizza like they do their bread, then you'll experience something of the highest quality.
The beers were served in sizes of 410mL (12 NZD) or 565mL (15 NZD). You can't get them any fresher than at the source. Plenty of unfiltered IPA's on tap along with their fresh hop varietal. Kind of sad that I received the White IPA instead of their Pale rotating on tap. Not sure where the disconnect was there. It was a change though with the Belgiany yeast and paired a bit better with the mussels. Plenty of other fresh IPA's to enjoy namely the juice bomb Hitman Hazy.
We ordered with a waiter but did have to travel over to the taps to see their special rotating selection. Paid at the front. It was a little misty outside, but the floor to ceiling windows do offer some of the most open, unbeatable views of the region. Simply put, this was worth the short drive out from Blenheim. read more
