Oh yes I do, in fact it was a highlight of places we visited in New Zealand. Inside is a pretty classic setting. Black tablecloths with white butcher paper. Clean, cozy. The first thing we noticed was this very small bar with 6 tiers of shelves hosting all sorts of spirits and alcohol, and the bar tender was ever so gracious. Our table wasn't quite ready but we enjoyed our chat with the bartender and honestly could have waited longer. The menu for drinks and food was immediately appealing. We tried their smoked manhattans. Delicious. They made it at the table and that was just fun. I got their scallops. Fresh, simple goodness. We shared their fries and I rolled my eyes. Great food, service and overall a charming relaxed and gem of a place in Nelson. Highly recommend!

Stumbling across this empty corner bar, thinking they are bound to be finished for lunch.......thank god no. The glow from the fire was as welcoming as the greeting from the marvellous wait staff. Craft beers on tap, knowledge about the vast wines and a menu that can suit all tastes. We felt we could not put a fork wrong as we tasted our way through dish after dish of magic. Even a midway trip to the bathroom left us wondering why our supposedly 5 star hotel was not as well equipped. I even stopped during the 3rd round of tapas to write this its that good. While we were glad we were the only ones here we could not help but feel some sort of obligation to let everyone know how good it was. The waitress also heard us talking about our upcoming visit to Kaikoura and gave us some helpful advice. They also had free wifi and gave our whole family access codes, which we really appreciated! I had the orange and pistachio salad and the beef satay with peanut sauce. Both were excellent. The orange and pistachio salad was really interesting and fresh with tons of herbs.
