We liked the overall look; it was exactly what we wanted. She arrived at 5:30am since we wanted to be ready by 8, and was super friendly and energetic, despite the early start. She was also flexible and was able to do my mother's makeup as a last minute request. She gave me a little sample of the lip product, after I mentioned that I looked for it, but it was sold out. It was a very kind gesture to help make our day a little smoother.

Crystal did a fantastic job on my wedding makeup! I don't normally wear makeup (I had not worn…read moremakeup once in the 3+ years that I had been with my fiance), so at first, I was a little concerned about looking like "someone else" on my wedding day. I did a makeup trial for our engagement photo session a few months before the wedding, and Crystal created a natural look that accentuated my best features. Crystal was able to replicate the same look for the wedding. I received many compliments on my makeup in the engagement photos and on my wedding day. Thank you, Crystal! In addition to being a top-notch makeup artist, Crystal was a pleasure to work with -- she was responsive to emails and flexible with scheduling (about a week before the wedding, I realized that it would be better if she could start at 9 am on our wedding day instead of the previously agreed upon 10:30 am, and she was able to accommodate the change). Also, Crystal's good taste in music may not seem particularly relevant in this situation, but the music she streamed during the trial and wedding makeup sessions helped create a cheerful and celebratory mood, which helped me relax. I am hoping that one of my friends will get engaged soon SO that I could recommend Crystal. :)

Violet created two very different looks for me--one for our Friday welcome party and one for the wedding day--and she nailed both of them perfectly. Everything held up beautifully all night, through photos and hours of dancing! Beyond her talent, she was just a lovely and calming presence to have around. She was amazing with my family as well, making everyone feel comfortable and look their best. She was also so flexible and accommodating with several last-minute changes to our schedule, which we appreciated so much. We couldn't have been happier!

The day of my wedding, she had extremely poor planning and time management, and decided it was smart to start me, the bride, last. That resulted in me literally being late, with her rushing to finish. The end result was a mess, it was awful. When I texted her photos afterwards politely expressing my disappointment (with trial and wedding photos attached), she did not offer to refund me but instead offered to redo my hair and makeup again for wedding photo retakes - strange, as how I clearly could not retake photos from that day and had no plans to pay tons of money for another post-wedding photo shoot?? Would have preferred my money back. Or better planning to begin with.

I was preparing to tell her how I wanted to change the trial makeup to something more pink, but that morning, Jessie brought up the idea of changes to me first! She suggested a pink look would look better and I was impressed because I felt the same way. I appreciated that Jessie spoke out about what she thought would look better on me; I felt like she had my back! In total, we had 11 people who needed both hair and makeup. I was worried that it would take a very long time, but Jessie and her two assistants run like a well-oiled machine! Started at 8am, done by 1230pm! All my girls looked beautiful!! The makeup lasted all day! Jessie even gave me a little pouch of materials for touch up, but I didn't need it! My hair also stayed in place all night long! She even taught my bridesmaids how to help put on and remove my veil without messing up my hair or the flowers in it! She knew how to solve any and all makeup/hair issues with no problem; it was obvious that she's very knowledgeable and experienced. I would HIGHLY recommend her for any event!

Jira listened carefully to what I wanted, offered her honest suggestions, and helped me choose the perfect shade that would complement my skin tone and style. I loved everything about my makeup and hair on both days--my banquet day and city hall elopement day. Hera is kind, quick, professional, and knew exactly what my mom and I wanted. My mom had never worn makeup before, and Hera worked wonders, bringing out our natural beauty instead of masking it (the makeup/falsies also felt light and comfortable to be in all day long). My hair and makeup stayed perfect all day! I wanted a classic updo that looked full and natural but I have fine, thin hair and didn't think it would work. Fortunately, Hera is very talented and was able to make my low bun updo look full and natural with the perfect amount of volume! I can't say enough about her work--she's super talented, professional, and somehow knows exactly what the client wants without much direction. On top of that, she was easy to work with, always on time (if not early!), and incredibly accommodating. If you book with Hera, you won't regret it!
