We had a humorous conversation both during the initial exam and with the eye doctor. This is a team that works well together, and you can tell by the end product which was a very pleasurable experience. I would give them 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed by the hours of operation. They're open after 5:00 p.m. only 3 days a week and closed on weekends, which made it difficult for me to schedule an appointment to accommodate my work schedule. But that isn't enough for me to consider anyone else. I was very satisfied with my visit and will be sending the rest of my family when the time comes.

Since changing ownership, this practice has taken to sending an absolutely ridiculous number of text messages. So many, in fact, that their messages were flagged as spam. And because we didn't respond to one of their countless messages to confirm an appointment **that was already scheduled**, they took it upon themselves to CANCEL it. I'm sorry, but since when did scheduling an appointment become insufficient to actually keep one? Patients have lives. We have jobs, families, and responsibilities. We should not have to monitor an endless stream of automated messages just to ensure a healthcare provider honors an appointment they agreed to. The irony is that this office now sends more texts than Kohl's, yet somehow expects patients to distinguish the one message that apparently determines whether they'll receive care. There is a difference between a helpful appointment reminder and excessive automated communication. And there is an even bigger difference between providing patient care and treating an unanswered text message as permission to cancel someone's appointment. **Perhaps instead of investing so much energy into automated messaging, the new ownership should focus on customer service and respecting their patients' time.** Absolutely unacceptable.

My wife and I have had less than satisfactory results with optometrists in the past, so were not expecting much. But we were pleasantly surprised to say the least. The receptionist/office staff were welcoming, fun and friendly. Dr. Joshua Wolf was easy-going, interested in listening, and very, very thorough. He took his time explaining all results and, best of all, did NOT push products that I didn't actually need. Even though my eyes had changed slightly since my last checkup, he advised that my current prescription is adequate and didn't need upgrading. Also, Brittany was very helpful to my wife in choosing new frames, especially in finding a set that was very close to one my wife loved but was way over what we wanted to spend, thus getting what she wanted at a fraction of the cost. My six-year-old son requires corrective eyewear in order to see properly. During our experience with this practice, I encountered significant concerns regarding communication, replacement eyewear, and the information provided to me about my son's insurance coverage. I was initially informed that his insurance did not cover the replacement eyewear he needed. Because I was unable to obtain adequate clarification from the practice, I contacted EyeMed through CareSource myself and was informed that the replacement glasses had been covered and paid for through his insurance. This was inconsistent with the information I had previously received from the practice. I have since had difficulty obtaining communication regarding when and how my son will receive the replacement glasses, despite being informed that the eyewear was covered and paid for. The lack of communication has been particularly concerning because my son depends on his glasses to see properly. The practice has now ended the patient-provider relationship, and I understand that I will need to obtain future care elsewhere. My concern is that the services and eyewear already initiated should still be appropriately addressed, regardless of the termination of future care. Due to these concerns, I have filed a formal grievance with CareSource and a complaint with the appropriate Ohio regulatory authority so that the circumstances can be independently reviewed. I am sharing this review not to make conclusions about matters that are still under review, but to encourage other parents to carefully verify their insurance benefits directly with their insurance company, keep documentation of all communications, and follow up on any medical services or eyewear that have been ordered or paid for. Parents should feel confident that their child's care, insurance information, and medically necessary eyewear are being handled accurately and communicated clearly.

One year my EOB showed an exam at $131, and a refraction at $12 for a total of $143 and their bill showed exam at $50 and contact lens check at $89 for a total of $139! Also, don't forget, it's the law that eye doctors HAVE to give patients their eye prescription even if not asked.
