From start to finish, these people are so wonderful!! They go above and beyond to please their clients. I have personally been a client and my mother has also purchased glasses from them. They have always been very attentive and helpful. My employer had an eyeglass emergency with some frames that he did not purchase from them, and they repaired them for him, no questions asked, like new and at a more than fair cost to him. I will be a repeat customer for sure! read more

Caution before purchasing new eye glasses at the Eyeplace in Nederland. If you have issues with your glasses do not expect it to be corrected and don't expect your money to be returned. It has been 1 of the most shady purchases I have ever made. You can expect lies and you must prove your script is correct by going to the optometrist again. Best go elsewhere. read more

We are the only local, independent eye glass retailer that manufactures your custom eye wear right here in the Golden Triangle at our Orange and Nederland offices. For over 30 years, we have provided the best quality and fastest turnaround of any of our competitors. We specialize in manufacturing the highest quality industrial safety glasses for refineries, plant operations personnel, and anyone else requiring the very best in safety eyewear. We also have specialists on-site for your everyday replacing and/or repairing for parts of your frame. Meet the Business Owner: Sylvia B.

Sylvia and Norman Bickham have lived and been active in The Eye Place from the first years. Orginal started by Dee Rodger, Sylvia's brother. Sylvia has been running the business with her brother from the beginning. When Dee passed away She could not watch the business lose the family touch it has always had so Sylvia took it over. Most of the staff are family so everyone here takes it personal to take care of the customers. Norman worked in the plants and when he retired he stepped in to assist with the business where ever he can be used.
