I had the screw with me which turned out to be 8mm x 20mm fine thread. He picked up a two inch lag bolt and ask if it would work. thought I was being filmed on Candid Camera. I found a hex head bolt that would work and said I needed a washer. He picked out one obviously too small. I said it was too small and he told me to try it anyway. I put it to the opening and he said, Oh, it's too tight. Then I was sure I was getting punked. I got my item and got out of there. I'm not sure if he was just trying to be that ignorant or not.
